  1. I like this answer. Ok, will be ready in few minutes. I'll post a new topic to announce its upload. I saw you wrote: So just to let you know, reading your line gave me the idea to make it. You are entitled to half of profits from this version. (By the way.... it's Free). Granot
  2. ShowFlash version 2.0 Final version was uploaded, all other links on this topic are inactive. Thanks to Marco for helping me improve and fix bugs. Since I changed my web page interface, it is recommended to refresh your browser when visiting. Please use the "Find on page" to locate any program. Thanks Granot
  3. Marco New file is ready long ago. I was waiting for you to confirm that is ok. ShowFlashTaskBar.zip As for distributing your files, you can upload show to http://beechbrook.com/pte/ where all members share their work. you can send me 1-2 MB file by email: boxig@zahav.net.il
  4. Sorry. I just renovated my site. No more numbers, just search in page for "all_exe" or go to "Free Autorun Programs for CD Distribution" section. Granot
  5. Marco You are right about the flash player, I made a change to my last reply (go back and see). I am very interesting to see some of your shows using your way with "ShowFlash". Please let me know when I can download and where when ready. The way you describe it is must be very interesting the simulate "transparent background". So I guess now the utility is ready to upload to my site, since the file there is still the first original file. I thank you very much since without your feedback and suggestions it would not have been as it is now, much much better than the first version. Especially I liked the idea to hide the task bar, never thought about it before and it is very important. I never used it on my other utilities and now I will have to add it to most of them (will be in "GifExe"). So I'll be waiting for your shows (you can also send me only the efect if is not so big, by email) Thank you again Granot
  6. Maureen The other file is no more, try this one: ShowFlashTaskBar.zip If you have problem downloading by clickleft mouse, then click right mouse and "Save as". Let me know Granot
  7. Ok, maybe I forgot to give the command on this path. I will fix it. Done, but in newer version. I only added this later when thinking how to make my Gif utility. I think flash should be smaller than show. This is logical to me. Also dimentions written in the text file should be real dimentions. I am not sure I understand what you mean. Is there any problem when you write real dimentions ? Thank you for helping in the Readme file. don't worry about the English, it is also not my native language as most of us. My utility can work even if user do not have flash player. It has its own player. (as a matter of fact I did not include it in this version since 98 % of users can see flash. Internet Explorer or Netscape Communicator include already the player. If the Flash player will not be found on the user's system, or the version of already installed Flash player is older than expected, then utility will try to connect to the Macromedia web site and will download and install the most recent version of Flash player). Don't be. Many of my utilities didn't get even not one comment ! I will fix all the above and upload a new file for your final check. If you see my new topic about "Gif animation" - I will probably will be working on this new utility... if I'll get some feedback. I I have uploaded new file. Sould be ok the task bar and the Esc. Please check if it's ok now. ShowFlashTaskBar.zip Thank you for yor help Granot

Joanna I think not using folders is a simple but good way, as AL made. you can make one show (with one slide) which will be opened when CD inserted (use autorun.inf file). On this slide make two buttons, one run the instructions and one the main show. You can check also some of my free autorun utilities in "autorun section" on My Webpage
  9. Hi all, Knowing many of you want PTE to have the ability to include Gif animation, and knowing this will not come soon, I wonder if you'll be satisfied with a substitute. Some of you know my utilities that run image over show, run panorama over show, and run flash over show... Well, why not run Gif animation over show ? I think I can do this, but do you really need it ? Granot
  10. Yes. Here it is new version which will hide the task bar while flash is playing and will show it when done. I included the restore option but made a big change: Before, if user restored the missing file everything go back to normal and flash is playing. Now the flash will not play. The purpose is to let PTE users to restore the file if they made any mistake on it. If you check the utility on your Hard Drive before making a CD you should find your mistake and repair it, so user don't have any reason to get corrupted file and thus don't need to restore it. When I'll get your ok that everything is working fine, I will make the final version. Any overview will be welcomed to include in the Readme file. I will remove the old test files listed in this topic above. Download: ShowFlashTaskBar.zip
  11. Thanks. I'm still working on it. Now could almost make it but not yet 100 %. Soon I hope. Granot
  12. Uploaded new file (just for testing, no restore yet) I hope now it will work, including diagonal scrolling. ShowFlashAnyPos.zip Did it today so tomorrow is free unless there is a new bug Granot
  13. Ok, I found my mistake. At least I know what I'm going to do tomorrow
  14. Yes, I know, I didn't have time to deal with it. These two files are only working files to check the scrolling options. I don't want to work on the restore file till I know which file to restor (sound logic ) It may be that the player works good with flash done with Macromedia and Swish and may be work not so good with SwishMax but I don't know. Can you please send me the swf file ? Here too, I was working all day on this only and I guess I'll check all only tomorrow. Yes, I forgot to upload I'm doing it now. sorry. Thank you for all your checkings, this helps to make the utility better. Granot
  15. Marco Here is a new file with ability to scroll the file diagonally from/to 4 directions. Check the new 5 lines I added at the end of "Flash.txt". This is only Beta version, not finished yet. Download: ShowFlashAnyPos.zip Granot
  16. Marco First, thank you for your long feedback. I was busy trying to make your suggestions. Here is a sample if you (and others) want to check and write your opinion. I added few more lines and instructions on "Flash.txt". ShowFlashInitialPos.zip The only problem as I see it that if user will move your show on screen, it will not change the flash position as you configure. I guess yes. I am trying to find a way to overcome this. I think if you use small flash up to 10 kb differences will be very small. Yes, you can disable scrolling if you write 999 on line No. 4. Then on line No. 15 write exit time. This is on the new version. I think can do. Let me think about it. You will find the restored file in: C:\Temp\Flash.txt Can you try again if it crashed and give me more details ? Thank you Granot
  17. Oli, I hope someone can give unswer to question I didn't (sorry) quite understand. Why such a long show have to be synchronized ? Or do you mean Navigation Bar and not Synchronization Bar ?
  18. Al Now that it works, I can make it roll up to middle screen. I don't know how to synchronize it with the show, where slides can be changed at any time by user. Since you have number of page at corner, user can just follow with the scroll bar of the utility, rol it up when not needed. Anyway, I'm glad it works and I as you said, someone may find a use to it. Waiting for your next tutorial. Granot
  19. Robert, check please "ReadAboutCD" No. 129 and tell me if it runs ok on yours. AL can't make it run on his but, again, on my old win98 everything works fine. Both programs have same components. I think you and Al are using XP which makes me big headache. Granot
  20. Al Are you using the origial folder which includes "FileList.txt" and sub folder called "Files" with 7 txt files inside ? Since it supposed also to copy the full text of the file to clipboard, can you check if after selecting a file you can paste the whole text or only the path ? This program is very simple with few script lines and since it works on my computer I suppose it is something to do with... XP ? Granot
  21. Robert I tried it again, made new folder, copy and past exe files one by one. Then add "All_Exe" and run it. All files appeared in the order I paste in the new folder. Anyway, there is another way to make it read from a text file the order of files. I did this on my newest utility "ReadAboutCD" No. 129. But I really want to see some other's members feedback about "All_Exe". Granot
  22. Al Ok, it is up to the creator to decide. This is the best way if you have a place. The help file is only a sample if someone wants to put instruction foreword. As for seeing the path and not the file content, this is mystery since on my win98 it works fine, and since you could see at least one file (the help) so I hope to get some more feedback about this, if someone else will try my utility.
  23. ReadAboutCD Here is the "Readme" from the zip. Program No. 129. This utility can be used in presentations which allow to run external file like "PixturesToExe" program. The utility will display all the text files (TXT) you want and user can choose the one he wants to read in the utility viewer. For example, if you have 100 slides and you want to write few lines or a full page about each slide, you make a simple TXT file named in a way your user can follow, for each slide. Easy Open and Copy of TXT files. All txt files should be in "Files" sub-folder. On "FileList.txt" write names of files, each on a line, in the order you want them to appear on window list. Last line should be the word: End. The first one can be "Help.txt". When run the program you will see the list of all TXT files in "Files" sub-folder, arrange in the order you wrote them on "FileList.txt". When selecting a file from the program window its content will be displayed and copied to your clipboard for pasting anywhere you want. On your CD you should include "ReadAboutCD.exe", "FileList.txt" and "Files" folder with all TXT files inside. Check on your Hard Drive before making your CD. The utility has three window sizes. When first open it will be 306 x 230. It can be increased to 788 x Screen working area and can be decreased to 306 x 24 at corner of screen. After un-zip, run the exe and you will see how it works. Free Granot
  24. Al I made a utility for this task. See program No. 129 Run the exe and see the sample. You can Full size or minimize to top corner. Maybe you like it. I will post on forum too. Granot
  25. Al, The simple way is to write all the text to the Help so user can click F1 and get in writing what you are saying. Just have to add the slides numbers before any text. Granot
