Stu, can I add some more ? ...and here is the page you need: you can leave my web site address or change to yours Or... "Run application after last slide" in advanced options with "Close show after last slide" Call your HTML (using the code above) web.html. In the box of "Run application after last slide" write: web.html and as Stu said, keep the html with your show exe. You can use this way to go from any slide to any web page by using "Run external application" in customized slide.

"TextScroll" This is a 355 x 333 window which you can open during show using "Run external application", or when show finish. You write your text in two simple TXT files, one for titles and caption and one for long text. It has two buttons, when mouse over text will scroll from down up or from up down. When mouse on text it pause scrolling. If you use it remember that each user can spend different time reading the text so it is best not to change the slide automatic but by button. You can use it for other uses also, not only with PTE. Download program No. 123. Free. Granot

If you click one time the sound will come back. If show is close, the "MuteSound" will close also by itself. Please try again and let me know if it works now. Thanks Granot

"All_Exe" Basically you can put unlimited number of shows on your CD but I tested it only with 100 shows and it worked great. I included autorun.inf to open the utility. You will see a list of all shows - select any and it will run. Please read the "Readme" file to see other options. The utility is free as it is. Download program No. 126. Thanks Granot

FrameToImage I'm a bit disappointed of the lack of interest in this program but maybe it is due to my vague description of its use. So I uploaded it to my site and wrote here a new description. Even if you make your own frames this program still can make your work much easier when preparing your slides to use with "PicturesToExe". In general, it makes few things: 1) Keep your frames for quick preview. 2) Quick comparison between different combinations of image+frame. 3) Quick preview of the best size of framed image. 4) Save result. I know it sounds vague again so here is how it works: When you open the program you see a frame with image inside. You browse to find your bmp or jpg image. Now your image is inside the frame. But you don't like the frame. So you click a button and each click the frame changes. Finally you find the frame you like. But you want a bigger space between image and frame, so you use Left/Right arrows on your keyboard to decrease or increase image size. If you think the total result is too big or too small, you use the Up/Down arrows to decrease or increase the whole framed image. When you like what you see, you save the framed image. All images will be saved as jpg in "MyImages" folder which will be created by the program. These were the basic functions. There are 100 frames to choose from, but you can add your own frames to the frames folder, or you can browse to find your frame. If you load two images, one as image and one as frame (instead loading a frame), then you will have two images, one on top of the other, which each you can resize as you want. You can see a small gif animation how it works: Animation Sample Page. I will be glad to read your comments. If you want to contribute your frames to add to my first 100, please send me 700 x 540 sized frames. Granot

Hi all, I uploaded a fixed version of "ExeRunner". In the previous version had some sound problems on some machines. I could check it only one my one computer, so if it works good for you and the sound is ok, let me know. Thanks Granot

Welcome Cindy, First, zip your exe. Then upload it to your server same way you upload HTML files. (if you have one of those free web sites maybe you can't - I don't know) On your web page write: <A HREF="MyShow.zip">Download My Show</A> Also you can upload your show to beechbrook.com from where people can download your show.

You should make some small tests yorself in order to see how easy you can learn by yourself. Make a show of 2-3 slides, mark the navigation bar, mark the "allow print", run preview, then you will see a print button on navigation bar. click on print button and you see all options. The best way to learn is to try and see what you get - I do this way all the time. If nevertheless you want to be sure or ask a question, we are all here to help. Good luck

This will allow print screen. User can copy only main image of a slide or the whole slide. However, if you worry about people grabing your pictures, this topic was fully covered in this forum, just search for print screen.

Yes, I have two utilities to control volume: "Volume Slider" - program No. 20. "MuteSound" - program No. 122. Please check before burning a CD that it works from a folder on your Hard Drive. Sound utilities sometimes colide and don't work as expected. And please let me know which one made the job. Granot

Hi all, In the last week I'm working on a very useful program which can make your work much easier. The name of the program is "FrameToImage", aka "PicturesToExe". Since this will be a Free program for all PTE members I hope you can help me make it better by contributing your art talent. The idea is to have a stock of hundreds of frames and use them for your images. You load an image to the program and the program puts a frame around the picture. Then you can change frames by click and see which of all frames goes best with the image. But this is not all. You can resize the whole deal, image with frame, just by using keyboard arrow to the size you like. You can resize only the image using keyboard arrow and thus increase or decrease the space between image to frame while image size changes. Then you click "Save" and your image with the chosen frame, in the size you resized them each, will be saved as one jpg image. If you put all your frames and all your images in the program folder then you can change frame or image by click. But you can also browse and call any frame or image, bmp or jpg, from any other folder. You can choose any image size or frame size you want like 1280 x 960 and it will be reduced in proportion, but any other ratio will be distorted. And more: you can load an image instead of a frame and then you will have two images, one on top of the other, which you can resize as you want. Since I saw many of you make beautiful frames (not like mine) I will be waiting to get some contribution of your work to include in the program so all members can benefit. Fames size better be 700 x 540 for use with 640 x 480 images, which means, the frame better be not over 30 pixels from the border on each side, but it can be over, which in this case, a 640 x 480 image will cover areas of the frame or will have to be reduced in size. Please zip your frames before you send them to me. I made the first 50 frames and hope to get from you beautiful stuff. If someone want to test the beta version, I'll be glad to send you by email, 930 kb. Waiting. Granot

Welcome to PTE Please give some more details like what program you use to burn so members with same program can guide you. The basics are: You need to burn 2 files to the root of the CD, which means, burn the files and not the folder where the files are located. The two files are: 1). YourShow.exe 2). autorun.inf - which will start your show on inserting the CD. There are many topics on this forum talking about autorun.inf. Use the Search to find them. You can read more in the "Help" of "Autorun.inf Maker Utility" which you can find Here. Good luck

Read this topic which can give you idea. In my opinion, when you have hundred of family pictures you cant do one show because in family album each member want to spend different time on different pictures. I think making a separat album to aunt/uncle, grandma/grandpa etc. is the best way, combining them all with a single slide show which will open the other exe's. See a sample of such index in http://beechbrook.com/pte/.

Agree. A must for all members. Sure one day everyone will need it.

Yes, those problems you mentioned exist also on my weak computer. But I guess it's good enough for "banners and advertisement". We have to find those who are ready to pay us for putting their banners on our shows I can imagine a beautiful show with Viagra banner Talking about viagra, I realize now why I make so many programs - Because I get about 30 (from 300) Viagra emails every day !!! Can't get rid of all those emails, offering mortgage 10,000 km from my home, buying diet pills while I'm so skinny, and other marvelous offers. Granot

RestorePTE Program No. 119. This program will help you restore your pte project, even if you marked the "Don't allow printscreen" It will restore all slides (full screen) but will not restore music or transitions. It will also create a restored pte project for you. Then you can add your music and transitions. If you had any buttons or links on your slide, they will be saved as part of the images so just add transparent gif and the link over them. Click "Save Slide" when you want to save the current slide. Images will be saved in the program folder as cap1.jpg, cap2.jpg... Once you close the program, you should relocate or rename the images since next time you use the program it will overwrite old images. Click "Restore" to create "Restore.pte" project file. After created it will be opened by PicturesToExe program. If you find this program useful to you, please consider a small donation to help me keep my site Please let me know how it works for you. Good luck Granot
