  2. Hi all, Since it can be that some of my utilities don't work with all WIN, I need your help, so members and me will know of problems if exist. I will greatly appreciate if members with Windows XP will try to use my "TempCD" utility (especially) and also other from my utilities and let me know it they have problems. Also it will be great if members using my utilities will let us know which utility works ok on which win. Thanks Granot
  3. No comment on this one ? I think it is really cool utility, completly configurable. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Granot

Hi Mike, As it look like, the utility is looking for your autorun file and can't find it (I assume you try this in a folder on your Hard Drive). The utility is not suposed to look for the autorun, so it seems like you wrote in "File.txt" file the name of your autorun, since the utility is reading from this file, it is looking for the file and when can't find it, give you the "can not find.." message. If this is not the case, write more details what you did. Good luck Granot
  5. Hi all, I did this one by request of robert (LumenLux) and I mentioned it in another topic but didn't give any information. So here is all about "FilesList Creator" and the newest "Search To List". 1. "FilesList Creator" Choose the file type. Example: *.exe , *.txt , *.pte , *.jpg , *.gif , *.bmp . . . Change default search folder if you want. Check the "include sub-folders" if you want the search to include all sub-folders. Click on magnifying glass icon to star search. If you want to create a list of all files found with their paths, click on "Create List" button. You will find the list in the program folder under the name of "Files.txt". If the list is too big, you can't open it with "Notepad" so use "WordPad" or any other text editor. Every time you create a list, the previous list will be lost, so if you want to keep a list, just copy it to other place or change its name. This one is FREE. 2. "Search To List" Same as the above but much improved. Here is what you can do with this program: 1. Choose the file type you want to search. 2. Choose the folder where you want to search. 3. Choose search include sub folders or not. 4. Save List of files found in name you choose. 5. Load any saved List. 6. Sort List by alphabetic order. 7. Clear List from display window. 8. Remove a file from the List. 9. Get full path of any file to clipboard. 10. Open selected file. 11. Get total files found in search. 12. Save List as HTM file under name you choose. 13. Open any saved HTM file. 14. Can play and stop WAV, MID, MP3 from List. 15. Drag and Drop any file or whole folder to the display window to make your mixed Lists. 16. Wilcard search can be done, ex: txt;*.exe 17. Name or part of name search can be done, ex: -;no*txt 18. Click twice on file line to see full path in message box. 19. Minimize to Try option (big gray button). 20. Copy any file from list to any folder you like. You can make PTE List, EXE List for your presentations, MP3, WAV, Images List etc, then call the list you want and select the file you want to open or get its path. With this program you don't need to remember where your images or pte files are. Just make a List and call the list. The best way is to use the Drag and Drop feature - you can drop all types of files to one list, you can make a List to each project, which include all files needed. Making a list is like making a new folder with selected files from other folders, but instead of copy those files and loose space, the list remember their original path and calls them from there. Makes your work really simple and easy. You can also make a sound file list and use the Play to hear each. This one is Shareware. The unregistered version fully functional. Thanks GRanot
  6. Guido (where are you ?) I need you to write one HTML page for the tutorial I work on about DPI. Since you are the expert about these things and I remember your long explanations in past topics, you MUST write a long article about DPI. ...and why you don't answer my emails ? Granot
  7. Thanks Bill for the most detailed instructions. I hope you will expand your explanation since most members want to learn. The "timesetevent" mentioned is to be found in some multimedia programs like PTE which use Synchronization. Each of us probably have one or two exe's like this but there are few, as Bill said, just in case someone wonder what is this mysterious "timesetevent". Anyway, I already made that utility which will create a text file with all files, so using two metods will be sufficient. As you know I'm looking for more stuff for a more profound tutorial and it will be great if you send me some html pages about all those topics you write. Granot
  8. David, You are right. Only if all members will follow some fixed rules (as Robert suggested, like a certain character in the beginning of slideshoe name) then it's dtill can be made but I don't see any use of it anyway. Robert, This is not what you wanted but here I made a small utility for you (and others who will find it useful). It is called "FilesList Creator" and you can download from my site. This will let you search for any type of file you want, will show you all the files, let you know how many, and if you want, you can make a list in TXT by click on button. Let me know what you think of it. Granot
  9. Yes, David, I always do this, but Robert also have a point, if you have customers you probably have a folder for each one and keep things there. So you can keep in "Templates" folder too, but then you will spend a lot of space. So how about this for first step: A small program which will search, at your choice, all exe or all pte (or all whatever), then create a text file with all files found with their full path ? As for step 2...humm...... any suggestions ? Thanks Robert, I think you'll have your utility in no time (lucky I am uneployed, time is no problem. Does anyone needs a gide to Thailand ?). Granot
  10. If you want to add your background image to the 6 I made, please send me. Remember the text is scrolling so try to keep 2-3 colors so I can choose fit color for text.
  11. Guido, you know who wakes first in the morning, the rooster. And why ? So he can be the first to answer chicken questions.
  12. Finished ! I made a new version but included both versions in the zip, now 844 kb. Read the new "Readme" and choose the one that fits you most. Granot
  13. Robert Since I configuration file is on the CD, user can not make changes. But I'm still working now to improve it. In the next version: All configurations in one text file. User can click on your email and send. User can click on your URL to go there. As for your suggestion, yes, I can make it, but then I will have to add a place for user to input his requested speed, which means buttons or input box on the small window. Do you think user will bother ? As I see it, mal asked this feature only for adding some elegance but not for functional reason, since even "Send email" and "Visit web site" can be put on the presentation itself. Why I have a feeling you were joking ? Anyway, you got answer. Granot
  14. Scrolling "About" message Utility This time the whole "Readme": This is a Scrolling "About" text to be opened by a link from other application. Made for "PicturesToExe" users. Make a button object and use "Run application.." to open "ScrollingAbout.exe" How to configure ================ Open "AboutText.txt" and write your few lines. Try to keep it short as in the sample. Open "configure.txt" and you will see two numbers in two lines: 2000 1 The 2000 is for scrolling speed and the 1 is for page color. You can change the 2000 a bit, something between 1000 to 4000 - it depends on you, just try it. You can change the color to 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 (added 6 later). Try them. You need to include these two files and the utility together with your presentation. Download from my site 421 kb in zip. Let us know if it works, I didn't try it (!?) (read below about version 2) Please check my other 75 (!) utilities and programs. Granot
  15. OK guys, I sat on it. Like a hen. And I layed egg. I will post a new topic about this "Quicky" utility. Granot
  16. Hi Mal You can do this but it will take a lot of work if you have many lines. Here is the basic how to do it: 1. Use 1 pixel black jpg image as main image. 2. Make your background black. 3. Add Text object of one line in white. 4. Position it in middle top most. 5. Clear all effects. 6. Set time for each slide to 100 ms in Project options. 7. Copy slide. 8. Paste slide. 9. Open new slide Object editor. 10. Drag your text 10 pixel down. 11. Copy slide. 12. Paste slide. 13. same as 9. Repeat 10, 11, 12, 9, 10, 11, ........ I didn't try it but should work. You can adjust the time (100) and space (10 pixels) so it will look as you want. You gave me an idea for "Scrolling About" utility. I'll sit on it. Tell us if it works. Granot
  17. CDstartup Here is few lines from the very long "Readme" file. This program will allow you to make a start up window for your CD. If you distribute any stuff on a CD, like photo album or a slide show, in exe file, you can use this program instead of a simple "autorun.inf" file to run your application. In other words, instead of autorun your slideshow, your full customized "CDstartup" window will open. Through "CDstartup" window the user of your CD can have more options by Open a menu, as follow: Choose where to install your main application. Choose where to install your business card exe. Install needed fonts for your application. Run your application. Run your business card. Hear your voice message. Read your "Introduction". Read your "Technical Information". Read about your other works. Send you email by click. Visit your web site by click. No installation needed. 1088 kb in zip. Download from my site. Freeware. Please your comments, suggestions.... Please check my other 80 (!) utilities and programs. Thanks Granot
  18. As was discussed Here I made a small program which you can use while managing images. I'm not sure this is what was suggested but here it is anyway. I would like to here your comments. So here is from the "Readme": This utility was made for "PicturesToExe" users but it can be used with any other similar program and for any other similar purpose. When you "Browse" for a folder this program will create a text file called "PhotoNames.txt" inside the folder where the program is located. This text file will contain all names and full paths of all JPG, JPEG, BMP and WMF image files which were found in the folder you browsed. When you click on "Start" a slide show of small thumbs of the images will start to run. You can "Pause", "Previous" and "Continue" the slideshow. If you open the program and "Start" without "Browse" it will upload the images from previously selected folder. You can find it on my web site. It is called: PTE_Thumbs Granot
  19. Joe, So you want to see thumbnails in the Slide List. I think it will be very easy for Igor to add. If you first collect all your images to a new folder in C: then the paths will be very short, something like: C:\X\image.jpg so there is enough place for thumbs and list. As for the meantime, I made a small program which I think it is what we are talking about. I will post a new topic with all details. Let me know if it helps. Granot
  20. About Thumbnails Can someone explain what you mean by show thumbnails ? Where you want to see them ? On first (index) page ? - this you can do with PTE. On each page ? - this will hide the main picture. On a separate utility ? - which will run with your show and you can minimize it or open it when you like ? - this can not be used with full screen. Do you want them to open big image by click ? - then this must be used from the show itself. So why you don't check my utilities ? There are some similar programs there. But if you tell me what exactly you want, maybe can do. Granot
  21. SilverSurfer Can you explain ? You can do all this with simple actions by click on image, so why you want to add HotSpot ? You can make HotSpot by making a tranparent GIF image if you insist. You can do this by "Run application or open file". I never tried it but I think if you link the command to a WAV file, it will open Windows Media Player (well, not the best option, but I'm sure that's what will happen). But you can make a little trick - duplicate the slide and customize the second slide with the sound you want. So with a few more slides you can actually make what you want. The user will not see that the slides changed but he will here the sound. If you have many buttons, you will have to make a lot of slides (for example, if you have 5 buttons, you will need around 25 slides to make this trick). Same way you can do all other things, but not the mouse over. Granot
  22. Robert That's what I want to do, combining utilities. But I have small problem - my memory. I forgot which one do what and have to check the whole project to recall how (and I'm not joking, I'm from those who forget what they are talking about in the middle of the sentence). If you can tell me the names of the two, I will do it. I get very few feedbacks, bug reports or improvement suggestions so there is no real incentive. I'll be waiting, and thanks, Granot
  23. Hi all, Since I'm out of ideas as for new utilitys, I set to improve some of my old stuff. So here is version 3 of my "Autorun.inf Maker". What's new ======== Now when user right-click on the drive icon where the CD is located, he will see some new lines on the menu: Autoplay Readme Web site Introduction The first one to play the show. The second to read your Readme.txt The third to go to your web site. The last to see another exe with whatever you put in it, can be a bussiness card or whatever. All this will give your autorun more professional look. Here is what user will see in right-click (without the red dots): Screen Shot This version is only on my web site 522 kb in zip. Look for program No. 9. To remind you - there are all my Photo albums and 70 programs and utility, most of them free. Thanks Granot
  24. Hi Bill, Where is your "mini-P2E show" ? If no url can you sent it to me ? Igor promised and when he will do this the PTE will allow much more and better options. Granot
  25. Template Opener Here is a cute one. Click on "TemplateOpener.exe" and a small window will pop up. While a lovely lady will welcome you to PTE templates, the window will minimize to your system Tray. You will see pte icon there. click on the icon and a menu will jump up. Here you will see your ten most favotire templates. click on the one you choose and it will open for you to work with. How to configure ================ As always, very easy. In the folder you will see a file called "Files.txt". Open it and you will see 20 lines separated with a line. the upper ten is for your template names, the lower ten are for the folder and file name, accordingly. Finish. In case you don't like the lady voice, change the wav file to any file you like, but call it "pte.wav". You can use my "PathMe2" program to quick and easy get the paths of all files you need. Install/Uninstall ================= Just run the exe. To uninstall - delete the folder with all files. Please let us know it works. Download from my web site (654 kb in zip). Thanks Granot
