Projects Index As many of my small utilities I made this one for my own purpose. So why not let other members enjoy it (if you like it). When you open it, you'll see a list of presentations names on left side. Click on each name will bring the full details about the presentation, on right side. That's all ! There is a "Readme" file in the zip and all you have to do is write your presentations names and details. You will find it as program No. 25 on my web site. Free for any use. Thanks Granot

Robert - Since I have (no more) aunts or uncles, I am inocent. Jim - The utility is free. As for the script, Mel Gibson will have to pay. With Julia Roberts I'll find another arrangment (I was thinking about free tickets, in case your mind was on other things).

I just finished the last version of ""SpeakButton" but I didn't upload it since I think no one will need it. Why ? In this new version you can play as many wav files you want, and I think up to 3 files will answer all needs (the current version). So this is just to let you know if one day you need to play more then 3 files, tell me and I'll send it to you.
-
Robert, Guido, Thanks. I added an enhanced utility to "SpeakButton". Now you can add up to 3 wav files to play and you can decide how long each wav will play, and how long to pause between each file. If you feel more than 3 wav files are neccessary, I can make it. And if you are thinking what you can do with it, here is an example: Slide show name: "Meet my family" slide 5 - picture of my aunt and uncle. Button with link to utility - When click first wave file (you): "Now you will hear my aunt and uncle talking" Second wav file (aunt): "Come here you lazy bum !" Third wav file (uncle): "Shut up you silly cow !" For other useful uses you'll have to think by yourself.

Michiele Does this happens only with exe files ?

Good news from Igor, no more this kind of path from next update: C:\PROGRA~1\PICTUR~1\TEMPLA~1\CHIANG~1.PT\aspara01bg.jpg which means "PTEpics" utility will work 100% and probably will be enhanced in the future.

I needed to add some voice remarks on my slides but I had a problem. When user will click on the button to hear my wav, windows media player will open, and I didn't want this to happen. Maybe there is a way to do this and maybe not. So I made a small utility which allow me to add my wav file to my slide, and if my user want to hear my remark, he can click the button and play it. If you want to try it, make a button (or link) and use "Run application or open file" action and choose "SpeakButton.exe" as program name. Rename your wav file to be "sound.wav". Use "PTE" or my "WavMp3InfoConv" to find the length of the wav file and write it (with no comma) on the first line of "SoundTime.txt" (you can write a longer time if you like but not shorter). Include all three files in your show folder or on your CD. You can check the utility by adding "sound.wav" to the folder and run "SpeakButton.exe". Download from my web site Thanks Granot

Hi Jim, Did you try this extra utility I made for XP:XPdeleteAllexe Put 2-3 exe files in C:\Temp, run "XPdeleteAllexe.exe" which is inside the zip and click on the only button on the utility. This should delete all exe files in C:\Temp. Alrobin tried it successfully on his XP (see above in this topic). Before you do this I hope you don't keep any important exe on C:\Temp (you probably don't). Thanks Granot
-
Thanks Harry. I should have kept it secret that I'm using Nero 5.
-
Igor, This is maybe a little out of your topic but why not allow user of compiled exe to call, by an optional button, thumbnails of slides (slides, not images) ? Thumbs can be 100x60 so there can be about 80 on screen, when each thumb will carry a link to the slide. I think making it easy for end user is very important. Granot

comctl32.dll - that I have. Maybe this is the DLL name with "M" not with "N".
-
Harry, I gave some instructions about Nero here: Nero I use it so if you'll have any problem I'll try to help. But this is very strange: I use Nero 5 and I don't have any conctl32.dll anywhere on my computer. Granot

AL, Here is some more HOT STUFF: I am glad to say I underatand nothing, but at least I understood you. Is that means files deleted are only those you made on your XP and if they were made by another member you can't delete them ? (It looks like I will stay with my win 98 for a long time) Granot
-
AL, Thanks a lot. I have no XP so I'm a bit (or more) ignorant. So you say my delete file works but there can be problems ? Files to delete are those who were just in use (by "MultiCD" utility) but no more. So the XP thinks that those files are still running ? This fits my firtst utility (from so many I tried) when I told it to check for instances, and my first assumption was that from some reason or other it get 1 instead of 0. What you advise is to use it as a separate utility to run after "MultiCd" is closed and not to include it in "MultiCD" itself. I was thinking to do this since it is only for XP users so all other don't need it. I hope I understood right your explanation. Now, same file you say work, don't work for other member. Here is what I got, as possible reason, from someone who knows better then me: Do you know something about this ? Thanks Granot

Thanks Al, Can you please check a small utility I made which is supposed to delete all exe files located on C:\Temp on XP ? You can download here: http://www.thailandphotoalbum.com/XPdeleteAllexe.zip Just put 2-3 exe files in C:\Temp, run "XPdeleteAllexe.exe" which is inside the zip and click on the only button on the utility. Thanks a lot Granot
-
Jim, Thanks. When you check it see if files are deleted from C:\Temp. It seems there is a problem on XP only but I'm working on attached utility which will allow xp users to delete the files. I'll be waiting. Thanks Granot

Al, This is only to make you buy it today. Everyday is last day. mannybr2003 You can use flash, gif animation, Java script, but I think no Java (class), no MP3 and no exe.
-
mannybr2003 The best ebook program I found for my needs is "EbookCreator". It is only $ 20 and you can incluse flash and protect all your HTML and images.
-
mannybr2003 I didn't quite understand all the virus problem. I know XP has a diffferent system of reading files (sonething concerning the extentions) and this may cause, maybe, to some of my utilities not to work properly on XP, which can result it an error message. One of those error message is "Can't copy file" of "File not found", but nothing to do with virus. If your computer has a virus, then I don't know what it can do to any program you have on your system. Why not run "Norton" ? I use it and it stops every suspesious file, which are usually coming by email and not from programs you download. I'll be glad to hear from you which of my utilities works fine on your XP and which not. Thanks Granot

Hi Zackp Best way to get your background is to make a big image of what you want to see as background and then go to "Project options", "Screen", "Tile Image" and choose your image. It should be a big size image (But if you know, for example, your show will bee seen on 800 x600 screen, so you can make 800x600 image). You can not re-position the main image but you can use images as objects and then move them to the position you want.
