  1. If you don't have the font and/or Photoshop, (and providing you don't want to rewrite "War & Peace!") you can send me the words/letters you want to use, with a picture for the text "infill", then I'll knock it together and mail it to you. John
  2. Hi! John, Loved your Demo and was quite taken by the Font you used for your Title, would you mind sharing it's name and how we can obtain it, It will be perfect for a sequence I have in the planning stage. Tom.
  3. Hi! All, Thanks for the advice, I have had a look at Maureen & Robert's site (as recommended by Ken) and followed followed their links to sites for the Aego 'M' series system. As luck would have it, there is a store not six miles from my home that carries them, I am off tomorrow as soon as the open to have a look, I shall let you know how I get on and what I think of them. Tom.
  4. Hi! All, Can anybody advise........?. I am looking for a powerful powered speaker system (for use when visiting Photographic Societies), so must be portable. My system at the moment........ Acer PD523 DLP Projector. Acer 2032 laptop with a very poor sound card built-in, so I purchased a Creative Labs 2400 USB sound blaster external card which is a piece of kit to behold, what I am now short of is a good amp and speaker system to match. If you have any suggestions, ....... please keep in mind I only have a small budget(UK pensioner)£100. max. Tom.
  5. Ken, Thanks for the info, I will shortly explode through information overload.LOL. I have decided to rely on images from my camera (Minolta D7i -5 mil piz)for all my tests and demos. Thanks again. Tom.
  6. Thanks Ken the link was very helpful, lots of useful info about Earth and how to get the best from it. Tom.
  7. Al and Jean-Pierre, Thank you both for you very prompt replies, I shall now return to Google Earth and try and emulate (to a far lesser degree) Jean-Pierre's sequence with images I have snatched. I shall post a link to my effort if I consider it has any merit, (but don't hold your breath). Tom
  8. Jean-Pierre Hi!, I have just downloaded your test sequence and it ran very smoothly on my system, but I am realy interested in the images you used. You say you borrowed them from Google Earth at a high resolution, would you be so kind as to explain exactly how you do that as all the images I have seen on Google Earth when zoomed in are very poor quality indeed. Tom P.S Please keep your tests and demos comming, I don't know what us lesser mortals would do without you.
  9. Igor, Great news, I and many others with thank you for making our lives a lot easier, can't wait for the Beta. Tom.
  10. Hi! Lin, I apologise for taking over 24hrs to reply as it took me this long to digest you very comprehensive advise and act upon it. I followed the link you provided and was surprised to find that I had to purchase a whole package of software just to get the DIVX Pro Codec which comes free with the bundle. The Total cost was only £13 sterling so was cheap at the price. After purchase and installation, I proceeded to carry out some tests (video quality, sound sync and overall file size) I was surprised to find that with a frame rate set at 15 as you suggested, I was getting equally good results from a codec I already had on my system (Cinepak codec by Radius) , a lesson learned is a lesson shared . My screen capture videos are now very good quality and it is mainly down to you, Thanks once again. Tom.
  11. Being a complete novice at screen capture to video, I followed Lin's example and downloaded a copy of Screen Recorder Gold. But I am having one or two problems. 1. The file size of even a short movie (5 mins or so) are very large. 2. I am using the default preferences...... has anybody got any recomendations?. 3. I have been hearing a lot about DIVX Pro 5.2.0 codec from Lin and others. How do I obtain a copy and install into preferences?. 4. My final problem (if the above is not enough) I seem at have a sync problem audio to video...ie.. the sound track seems to be running slightly behind the video. Please can anybody help before I tear out what little hair I have left. Tom
  12. Hi! Lin, First may I congratulate you on an excellent video tutorial, I found it very easy to follow and have now produced my very first 3D cube. After download, the file opened with no problems into WMP (windows media player) and ran very smoothly. Just one question if I may. When saving as a PNG file, you always seem to save as none interlaced, would you breifly explain the difference between interlaced and none interlased an the benifits of each?. Tom.
  13. Thanks for your reply Ron, you don't know how much you miss an effect untill you are without them. Tom
  14. This morning I uploaded a sequence onto Beechbrook Cottage (The Lakes of Cumbria UK), Please have a look and let me have your learning points, some of the effects could be over the top for some, but as Igor and the team have worked very hard to provide them for us we should use them, what do you think???. While making the show I noticed one or two features that don't appear to be working...... 1. Fade to and from desktop at first and last slide. 2. Customised music and sound effects for individual slides. can anybody shed any light??? Both of the above in 5b4. Tom.
