  1. Jose - I must confess that I removed my posting myself. And now I must go and lie down in a darkened room..... Maureen
  2. Not easy. When we create a show we usually have in mind a mood we wish to develop and just what kind of music we see as ideal. Finding it is a different matter. Maureen
  3. Wow, Greg, that is really beautiful. I reckon Patti will be thrilled with this and what a trip! Coincidentally, my husband has recently finished an a/v on our holiday there 5 years ago and with recalling that trip and seeing these, it really makes us want to return. However, not this year - that's already sorted. Best wishes Maureen
  4. Hi Greg - I remember seeing this way back when I first discovered your site. You've done a great job there and brings back some happy memories. Maureen
  5. Barry - what always strikes me about your images is they always look so SMOOTH! Wonderful skies; not so sure about the music. Maureen
  6. Thanks to both Mary and Malcolm and glad you enjoyed. Maureen
  7. Thanks to Rick, Mick and Greg for kind comments. It's nice to know you enjoyed. Mick - the problem is time to keep up to date with websites. I did use one years ago before I changed to digital but it became a chore and I gradually let it go in favour of being 'out and about'. However, I have a friend who uses Picasa. I may just take a look and I'll let you know if/when I do. Best wishes for a Happy New Year. Maureen
  8. First of all, a Very Happy New Year to everyone. Let's hope it does turn out to be a good one. Secondly, thanks to everyone who has commented. It is appreciated. Boogie - The music is on a cd called 'Ascent' recorded by a then 13 years old ~Tyler Rix on soprano sax. I agree with the comment made by both yourself and Daniel Laugier that the pics are perhaps on a little too short a time whilst maybe the fades are too long. I have had another go, decreasing the transition times and I think it is better. Barry - take your point about the Lakes - I just love the place and this sequence has been sitting on my PC for a while as I wasn't quite sure where I was going with it and to be honest, didn't have much motivation (sometimes it disappears!) However, I do have lots of pics taken on trips this year so maybe it's time I dug them out and had a go at something different. We can get a bit too cosy in our comfort zone, or at least, I can. (I think they have all despaired of me with regard to the Sshhh...) Ken - off to Norway in a few weeks - once again doing the Coastal Voyage in the winter months! Hope to get lucky with the Northern Lights again although difficult to do satisfactorily from the top deck of a moving ship Again, thanks all you guys who have downloaded, watched and commented. It is appreciated. Maureen
  9. Just a very simple show of a few images taken during the last three months of the year. On www.beechbrook.com with grateful thanks to Bill as always. Maureen
  10. Superb pictures as always, Barry, and I can think of no-one more qualified to produce tutorial disks. Maureen
  11. Bill - did you receive my emailed comments? Having a few problems with email at the moment and not sure if some are arriving. Maureen
  12. Malcolm - finally managed to download your a/v and have just watched it - absolutely delightful! A really nice idea and very well executed. Well done. Maureen
  13. Malcolm - thank you for your comments. I think we just got very lucky with the weather after a couple of days of rain. I have tried several times today to download your Hardy's Cottage but for some reason my Norton is blocking it. I have had this problem before and resolved it so I will keep trying. Maureen
  14. Hello to Snapcam and many thanks for your comments. I'm very pleased you enjoyed the show. Maureen
  15. Grateful thanks to EVERYONE who has taken the trouble to comment on my latest slideshow. I am so pleased you have all enjoyed it. I certainly enjoyed creating it, especially being out and about taking the pics. Maureen
  16. Late October we spent 3 nights at Bridge of Orchy, in the Western Highlands of Scotland. Weather was a mixed bag but the autumn landscape colours were the best I have ever seen them. Images taken mainly around Glen Orchy, Glen Etive, Glencoe and Rannoch Moor. First time I have seen Rannoch Moor in decent weather which was a bonus. Slideshow available on www.beechbrook.com As always, grateful thanks to Bill Hines. Maureen
  17. Andrew - a superb piece of work, and very moving too. You must be very proud. Great stuff! (Surely you will send this a/v to your old Regiment?) Maureen
  18. Dear Lin So sorry to hear your very sad news. Maureen
  19. Beautifully done; one to keep. Maureen
  20. Hi Jim Good to see another one from you on Beechbrook. Super photography and another one to save along with your Lewis and Harris show. Hope to get up there again later this year. Regards Maureen
  21. Ken - a superb show. Interesting and thought provoking. Maureen
  22. Hi Colin Very nicely put together and I'm with you on two of your goals, eg the supersonic jet and Namibia. You're certainly a guy who likes to be up in the clouds and good luck to you. I hope your dreams are realised. Maureen
  23. Bill - I noticed on another thread that someone seemed to recall that your Upload page appeared complicated. I have to say to anyone who may think of using it that if you read the instructions carefully it is very straightforward and simple to use. If I can use it so can anyone and it is an excellent showcase for PicturestoExe. Maureen
  24. Thanks, guys, for the comments. Maureen
  25. Rick - your students are sure in for a treat when you show these cracking shots. Bye the way, we saw a Humber Hawke being driven yesterday; in excellent nick, too. Remember those, or are you too young? Maureen
