  1. Relatively little snow in the Scottish Highlands this winter. However, a couple of recent short breaks yielded just enough images for this slideshow. Res: 1920x1200. 5m.15secs. http://www.slideshowclub.com/files/file/464-winter-days-i-the-highlands/ Maureen

  11. Thanks again, however, will try what I have. It won't be the first time I have rejigged a show at someone's suggestion. Maureen
  12. Hey Dave, since writing the above, maybe I will give it a go. I've got some mandolin music. Maureen
  13. No offence taken, Dave, honestly. For what I was trying to create, which is a relaxing, sitting down with a glass of wine, watching the scenery type of holiday, it suited MY MOOD exactly. If you try to disassociate that musical piece from 'Porgy and Bess' which as you state is set in the Deep South, and I realise that is difficult, then for me it works. Thought of you the other week when we went to a concert given by the Mandolinquents, don't know if you have ever heard of them. Different mandolins, guitars, violins - super! Maureen
  14. Thank you, Dave. Interesting comment. I guess we all hear music differently. Maureen
  15. A new slideshow from one of two weeks in the Italian Lakes late last summer, based in Bellagio on Lake Como. 1920:1200 Res. on www.slideshowclub.com/

  17. A new slideshow. Res: 1920:1280; 4m.15s. A couple of hours in April this year, spent in the medieval hilltop village of Perouge, 30 km northeast of Lyon and listed amongst the most beautiful villages of France. PC and MAC versions on www.slideshowclub.com Maureen
  18. Thanks, Barry, for that. Very useful. Maureen
  19. Thanks, Ken. Glad you enjoyed it as I certainly enjoyed creating the show as it brought back so many memories. Happy days! Maureen
  20. Thanks to Mick Porter and Mark Allen for your reviews. Mark - I apologise. I thought I had replied to you on SSC yesterday but having looked at it just now, there was nothing there and it seems that to reply to a review, you have to give yourself stars before you can submit comments which seems a bit daft. You and Mick are right about the timing of the show. I was concerned that it was going to be a bit too long as there were so many great shots to choose from. Of course, you could always pause the show with the space bar, although for me it spoils the flow. About the one you 'nit picked' (your words, not mine) you are probably right but I don't think it matters a great deal. I did this trek and the Annapurna trail 26 years ago but, alas, no digital then, just 4x6" prints. Couldn't do it now! Again, thanks for your comments which are appreciated. Maureen Since writing this I have found where to submit 'Comments'. Apologies.
  21. My son recently returned from trekking to and from Everest Base Camp and asked me to create a show from his photographs. As it's a record of HIS walk, it is a bit longer than usual at 7.5 minutes. Res: 1920x1200. PC and MAC versions at www.slideshowclub.com/ Maureen
  22. Another visit to Andalucia in February this year, hopeful of seeing the pink almond blossom in full bloom. Alas, due to a very mild winter, most of it had been and gone. On www.slideshowclub.com/pte Res: 1920x1200. Maureen
