  1. Am I missing something here? I've downloaded the Triptych 1 slide style and added it to my PTE slide styles folder, but I can't access it from within PTE as it just doesn't see it and it is a very small file size. All my other styles are in folders with accompanying files and a configuration file, but all that downloads is the PTE style. Can you enlighten me please? 3D Triptych 2.ptestyle 3D Triptych 1.ptestyle
  2. Hope you mean the photobox style. Can you tell me when they will be available and where to download them please.
  3. Hi Dom - I love your photobox template but the download page for it no longer exists. I wonder if you could make it into a style for me please?
  4. Just tried to download the carousel style but all I keep getting is a fan style which I'd downloaded previously. Any suggestions please?
  5. Has anyone got a copy of the photobox template please?
  6. Peter I use Avira antivirus and have had no problems before, but will report it - thanks Linda
  7. Yes I agree - the thought had crossed my mind. I'll try it and get back to you. I tried running it on my old machine under Windows XP and it took just as long, but strangely when I looked at the properties compatibility it had changed the compatibility mode to Windows 95! Linda
  8. Some of my files are rather big - ie 180 resolution and just over 40x30 with a file size of between 3 and 4mb each, but the majority are 40x30 with a resolution of 72, bringing the file size down to between 600k-1mb. I've run files this big in v5.1 without any problems. My slide shows always last 1 hour, so I have about 20 music files. I'll have a go at reducing the size of some of my music files as one is 7mb and a couple are 5mb each. It is a complex slide show with lots of transitions - some in 3D and in quite a few cases I've utilised picture borders. However, it runs smoothly from within Pictures to Exe. As detailed in my reply to Yachtsman1, the PTE file is 3.42 mb, making an executable file of 1627.8mb. I have successfully created 2gb exe files which ran perfectly in v5.1. Linda
  9. Acer Aspire 7741G 2.66 ghz - 3mb L3 cache 4gb DDR memory 750 gb HD Show size: PTE file 3.42 mb Exe file: 1627.8 mb I have previously produced many other slide shows this size, but using version 5.1.
  10. Hi Igor I switched to v6.5 after successfully using v5 for several years. I think it's great, but have found a problem with my new laptop running under Windows 7. When I compile my pte file, the exe file takes ages to run - more than 5 minutes before it will start. I've tried switching to Windows XP (both service packs 2 and 3) under the compatibility properties, but no difference. Any help would be much appreciated.
  11. Many thanks to all those who placed suggestions regarding mp3 files cutting out before the end of play. The problem was remedied by loading the mp3 file into Audacity and exporting it as a wave file. It worked immediately. When I tried to export it to a new mp3 file Audacity wanted me to download lame mp3 encoder, which I'm about to do now, but in the meantime the wave file worked fine. Thanks again. Linda
  12. Many thanks to all those who offered suggestions regarding the mp3 file which doesn't play to the end. I've just had a quick look at them and they all sound sensible, so will try them asap. I am just about to go on holiday for a week, so I can't start messing about now, but will try Audacity (which I have downloaded) to load the errant mp3 file into. See you in a week - I'll let you know if it was successful! Regards Linda
  13. I have done quite a lot of slide shows using pictures to exe, all using music. but on more than one occasion certain pieces of music cut out a few seconds before the end of the song. I've had to remedy this by changing the piece of music, but now I've got a piece that I particularly want to keep in and it cuts out before it has finished. The piece of music (an mp3 file) plays successfully to the end using Realplayer, so there's nothing wrong with the music file. The music is near the beginning of the slide show so there are plenty of slides and other mp3 files which follow the one which is cutting out. My next slide show presentation is due soon - any clues as to what's wrong please? Thanks Linda
  14. I'm having exactly the same problem Annette - have you managed to solve the problem yet as I'm getting desperate to produce my DVD slide show. I've followed all the suggestions (Bitrate 7000, Video type auto etc) and the picture and sound quality are still poor. I'm also getting the edges of my pictures cut off, so any text around that area doesn't show. Linda
