  1. The attached scree grabs show the colour balance shift. The lighter grab is the correct one. Snapcam
  2. Thanks Igor, As I said it may have nothing to do with the PTE programme .I will investigate other avenues and post what I find. Snapcam
  3. I have just completed a new show on 7.5.10 All fine except when play the created exe. Nvidia flashes an application warning and the colour balance of the show is way off. I created again in pte7 and it appeared OK with no warning. This may have nothing to do with the .10 programme but has anyone else had this problem. Snapcam
  4. Sorry Guys, its not on the published sequence. I hadn't realised the bar only stays in the project file as I had not created the .exe. Windows 7 ,by the way Lin. Patience IS a virtue. Snapcam
  5. Just starting to find my way around 7.5.4. Navigation bar appears even when SHOW NAVIGATION BAR IS NOT TICKED. It does not show if I hide the curser and untick the box but then I can't use the curser when needed.? Is there something else I am missing. Snapcam
  6. I think we have a result DG. I had it on CBR but I changed from MP3 to MP3Pro in the settings screen which apparenly compresses less of the frquences. Ihave tested and it seems fine. Many thanks again Chaps. Snapcam
  7. I'm working on a sequence soundtrack in Audition and saved as MP3 7MINS 25 SECS long. It saves and plays in windows at 7.mins 25 secs. When I bring it into PTE it is only 7mins 01 secs. I then saved as WAV and it comes into PTE at correct length. Never had this before. Tried in vers. 7 and 7.5 What am I doing wrong. Snapcam
  8. Hi Barry Many thanks, that works really well. Regards Snapcam
  9. I want to put french translation subtitles of a commentary onto a sequence. My problem has been how do I keep the font size uniform and the position of the text constant from slide to slide. For convienence I have been trying to use text in the objects and animation window. Anybody else tried this. Snapcam
  10. Hello Maureen Once again beautiful images and superb light (I'M CONVINCED YOU HAVE HELP FROM ABOVE FOR YOUR LIGHTING ) Some of your images make the ordinary look extraordinary. Snapcam
  11. Hello Eric, Glad you enjoyed the sequence. As regards the ending. When I first thought about how to create this sequence Swan Lake seemed the obvious music choice. If you know the piece it is not the easiest to interpret with limited images available. I therefore had to find a natural edit in the music to get a manageable length and mood. This means that as you see there is a need to interpret a crescendo that is near the end leaving limited time to end in a different mood. ALL sounds very arty doesn't it but that may be of help to some just starting to make sequences and thinking about music. Thanks again PS Waiting for your link to audacity tutorial. Snapcam
  12. Head above parapet time again. A short sequence that started as some swan pics then ,well you judge. Snapcam http://www.mediafire.com/?qhaoo1sc4hux859
  13. Hello Peter, Yes I am aware about the double/single click but that runs a second sound track and hitting escape clears the extra one if that happens. This was a crackle like a bad ariel connection on the car. It now appears to have disappeared and I was left wondering was it a laptop clitch but a music file was fine as was the sequence from folder and the crackle was still there when I returned to the show page to open.
  14. Hi Guys, trouble again! :(/> I created a Show page with a programme of sequences for a club night. Created on my desktop, plays perfect. Transferred to my laptop via portable HDD. When I open a sequence from the page there is a crackle on the soundtrack. If I open the sequence from the transfered folder, No crackle. Anyone else experianced this. Snapcam
  15. I use a Panasonic Lumix TZ7 for video clips which are a minority sport for me. There are two file types AVCHD or jpeg which on the computer are Quick Time Movie (.MOV). R
  16. Thanks guys for all your help, its now clear to me that my limited knowledge of video is even less than I thought. I find that my clips from the camera are AVCHD, others on the files are Quick Time Movie I assume it must be what I selected at capture. PTE has converted the clips to AVIwhich seem to work. I need to learn about different video files. Your advice has also probably saved a PC World Techy from physical assault (ONLY JOKING) SNAPCAM
  17. Sorry Eric, answered Gary before I saw your post. I think we are on the same lines now. Have you any thoughts on why it runs on the desktop. R.
  18. Now we're 'whistling Dixie', Gary, converting the video clips made the difference and they are playing fine. The clips have convertes to AVI. Is that the norm for this type of project. I still don't understand why they run normally on my desktop and not on my laptop ,both have Nvidia cards fitted. Snapcam
  19. Hello Eric, See what you mean about the cards, I didn't realise that, but it makes no difference which card I use. The videos seem to run ok on the laptop outside PTE the problem happens in Pte only. Is there a particulat video format I should be using. What confuses me is that it works fine on the desktop. Raymond
  20. I have created a test sequence dropping several video clips into a normal sequence. The sequence runs fine on my desktop both in project file and creted EXE. When I transfer and play it on my new all singing all dancing laptop with 2gb nvidia card the result is the video clips judder or even stop. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. WHAT! please. Snapcam
  21. Hello Eric Considering the weather you managed to get very reasonable light into your images. The introduction of the video (I'm not normally a fan), I thought worked well and slotted in nicely. I would have liked a few seconds longer on some of the clips. Nice litle sequence reminded me of my own visits to SCotland. By the way flat sausage is well known to us Ulster Scots here over the water, although its hard to come by nowadays. Its made with the sausage mix before it is put into skins. Your security run in reminded me of my own experiance some years ago. I had stopped to photograph some colourful benches at the side of a road here. Next day the police were making enquiries about my car reg. and what it had been up to. As it happened the call came to me in my office. I had not realise I was beside an Army helicopter base and a passing chopper had spotted me. The things we do for art. SNAPCAM
  22. Now this is what a sequence without commentary should look like! I ran it through three times without interuption. The images are wonderful and the sequence flows without any feeling of jarring from one location to another. The animation was subtle and sufficient. I wondered at first about the use of the 'Braveheart' music but it works beautifully. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Snapcam
  23. How prophetic Peter, I had to travel about 60miles to another store to collect the replacement. The techy there questioned the reason for the change and proceded to again test the computer. He then done what I thought very sensable and loaded PTE onto the replacement only to find it would not run. To his credit he spent the nx 1.5 hours chasing down the problem. He found PTE would run if the dedicated graphics card was disabled. He diagnosed a driver problem and down loaded various drivers which failed to solve the problem. He left the latest on the machine for me to download and install at home as it was taking hours to download on their broadband. I am pleased to announce that following install PTE IS UP AND RUNNING. For information the computer is an ASUS N55S. The graphics card is NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 635M -2GB Having criticised the other Knowhows I must praise and thank the guy at PC World/Londonderry for his persistance to solve the problem. Snapcam
