When I publish a sequence on a DVD made in 4:3 and show it on a wide screen TV the pictures fill the screen with the images slightly stretched, however when made in 16:9 which I would expect to be correct the images do not quite fill the screen. Can anyone please offer an explanation and possible solution ? Thank you

Thanks to Lin - I have been able to add commentary using a mic. and Audio Comment . Dave ,thanks for your reply but I cannot find voice comment and have not found a way to download from a recorder yet, presumably this is why I need voice comment. Thanks again

I am trying to add voice comments to a sequence for the first time and am stuck . I have the images and music in the sequence and have recorded the voice comments to a separate recorder but cannot get them into PTE. I have gone into help and scrolled down to the slide of a bearded man and on the top right side are 'add audio file ' and 'record voice comment'. At this stage I do not mind which of these to use but I cannot find this page where these options are, would someone kindly point me to the right place. Thank you

I am putting in a short video clip between slides , as the sound from the video clip does not appear on the timeline is there a method of fading in and out the sound from the video clip to the sound for the slides ? I have seen that you can mute the sound from the video but I want to use it. Thank you

Dave Many thanks for your information. I made the sequence using pictures from my F drive - an external drive - which worked fine until we got a new computer. I have copied the pictures into my C drive but the programme still doesn't recognise the path. I can add the pictures individually using the Change Image File button but it is very time consuming. Is there a way of enabling the programme to find the pictures on the F drive? I'm also puzzled as to why it thinks the pictures were from the C drive at all! I'm having the same problems with audio - another sequence has pictures but no audio and I can't enter the audio again. Many thanks David

Hi Dave The pictures are in the F drive on both computers but PTE is looking for them in the C drive. The error numbers I quoted before for the audio tracks are incorrect and irrelevant - I have just realised that these are the track numbers in the sequence and it is just saying that it is an error. I have now found the ' image not found' section in the Help files and have been able to use this to re load some pictures but this is a longwinded process - is there any way to do groups of pictures to speed up otherwise it is going to take a long time. Also is there an equivalent to the 'image not found' process for audio ? I have not been able to find one in Help. Thank you

I have just bought a new computer and asked the shop to transfer all data. I have found problems in getting my sequences to preview properly - for example the sequence that I was in the process of making has all the slides correctly but the music does not play although the music tracks are correctly listed in the audio section of project options. The wav form does not appear in the timeline. The sequence I made before the one above has the music playing correctly but no pictures after the title page,each slide has a blue screen with 'image not found'. Any suggestions as to how to get back to normal will be gratefully received ! Canico

Dave Thank you for your reply,apologies I have been away so have been delayed but am now back with the problem. The external hard drive is only connected when I am working with photos and sequences. I have checked that the pics are in the folder and they are all present when selecting F3 but have found what may be cause of the problem.When in 'settings. - 'toolbars' -top right toolbars I had previously put a check mark against all the options but going into this area again some of the options including 'change image/video file' have unticked themselves despite having selected 'save 'profile'. Have you any further suggestions please?

Hi Peter Thanks for your reply. No, I am saving to an external hard drive where all my photos are stored. It has 232 GB capacity with about 40 % free space.

I have made a sequence putting in the images ( all used before in previous sequences ) and then saved it as have done many times before - when I opened the sequence later to add the music all the pictures came up 'image not found' with a blue display. I then checked that all the tool bar settings are on and started again this time adding the music and completing the sequence construction and saving. When I opened the sequence again later to have another look at it again all the images were again 'image not found' but the title page, the black slides and the music were all there. As I have spent many hours on this sequence I am frustrated and would appreciate any advice and suggestions as to what is going wrong before I make it again. PS I save to an external hard drive. Thank you

I have a sequence made in PTE Deluxe 7.0 that I want to rework in 8.0 - is it possible to move the whole sequence between these versions and if so how is it done please ?

I have read Yachtsmans comments about the Logitech Headset H360 and it appeals to me. However can anyone recommend a small portable recorder under say £80 that is good for recording in the field sounds and voice to add to a sequence ? Thank you in advance

I have just got version 8.0 and the big disappointment to me is that you can no longer drag and drop slides along the timeline.I cannot get used to the new method of positioning slides so far and have gone back to 7.0 until I have more time to try to get used to it. Also the removal of the 'X'key to take slides out of the sequence is not good.

I have paid to upgrade from 7.0 to 7.5 but can not activate the new version - it will only direct me to the trial period. It says go to 'help' and enter the licence number but I cannot find any where to enter it. I am getting very frustrated and would appreciate any help. Thank you ! canico
