  1. Ahh... a fellow North Vancouverite. You must have just taken the pics this weekend when the mountain opened, or were they from last year. Curious... how did you discover this software?
  2. I am having trouble too. I am in Western Canada and on a broadband connection....frustrating.
  3. You may want to check out the previous discussion at: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums//index...2&hl=virtual+pc I hope that it helps a bit. Scotty
  4. To whom it might concern, I recently got ahold of a copy of vitualpc ver 4 and loaded it on an Ibook. The Ibook had in computer 128 and an added 256 of memory. It's processor was a g3 600mhz. The computer ran the show but seemed to suffer from the slower processor problems as do pc's. A larger ram card was even tried but did not make any difference. The only problem was that the 'fades' got that notchy layer thing happening and that the other effects were a bit jerky as well. There were no problems with the music or sound sychronization. With no transitions selected, it ran the smoothest. I was told that a more recent version of virtualpc would run more smoothly. From my experience running shows on other pc's and the threads in this forum I still think it is a processing speed thing.
  5. If this is the snowboarding, scuba diving Lester, an extra thanks for the tips. Scotty
  6. Brian, I was hoping that you would have tried out your son's friend's imac . My wife is wanting me to do a show and presentation for her work next week and was hoping to be able to run and test it on her ibook instead of chasing down and borrowing a pc laptop. If you did test out virtualpc, I would be interested in hearing the results. Scotty
  7. I have tried an old lLitepro ( 5yrs old ) and it was terrible. It's resolution was poor, as anything set up for an 800x 600 monitor size or greater was awful. I ended up borrowing a newer Canon and it worked great. I ran it a the 1024 x768 monitor setting without a hitch. Slides were shown on 10 x 10 screen in a school gym and it looked good up close and from the back of the gym. The sound was run through a higher end 'getto blaster'. The CAnons in Canada are going for around 2500 $ which should convert to about 1100 pounds.
