Apple is genius. That's why there is iPad and... all other tablets.

There is no app named iSlideshow yet. And there are many apps with slideshow functionality (but I like PTE, so I'd prefer to see its iOS version) in App Store. So I think you shouldn't bother about it. If you really have enough resources and knowledge, why not to try? Apple market is quite interesting.

No, I didn't try that. Upscaling without visible loss is impossible, so it's not interesting for me. I just want to display slideshows on the full screen of the iPad 3 without any scaling. Hey, Igor, can you say something?

Thank you for suggestion, but it doesn't work for me. I entered 2048x1536 in Project Options>Screen, but when I try to create video for iPad/iPhone, width always set to 1920 pixels.

Hi Igor, I've got The New iPad, it's resolution is 2048x1536 pixels whereas PicturesToExe allows to choose 1920x1080 maximum (btw, these values are absent in drop down list). Is it possible to add non-standard resolution to fit all the screen of iPad 3?

Moreover, as far as I know TrueCrypt is not the fastest program in terms of decryption speed. So, I think there are no problems to implement strong encryption in PTE.

To be honest, I'm quite amazed at what I read here, gentlemen. I know programming skill of Igor and his colleagues, and it's quite high to trust them. So I needn't keep all previous versions of PTE installed. I install any new version over existing one (and keep previous distributives as archives JIC ).

Hi Igor, You mean every major version, not minor. So, if I had version 5.51 installed in non-default location, and I want to update it to v5.52, I still need to change suggested path. Your point of view is clear for me. But I think it's not the best solution at all. More clever behaviour: installer autodetects existing version in PC and asks user to confirm installation over it or into another folder.

Hi Igor, Please improve installer of PtE a bit (as it was in versions 4.x)! I mean its ability to find folder where the current version of PtE is installed and offer it by default when updating. And the same in Russian: Привет! Инсталлятор опять разучился запоминать папку, где уже установлена программа, и при установке новой версии всегда предлагает жёстко заданную папку. Подправь, пожалуйста. В версиях 4.x с этим было всё хорошо.

I tried to use several models of DLP (1-chip) and LCD projectors for home theater, and my verdict is clear: only LCD is suitable for me. I just cannot look at the screen for a long time with a DLP model because of the "rainbow" effect. My eyes get tired with it very soon. As regards the contrast ratio, the newest models of LCD projectors (made by Epson at least) beat DLP easily. And LCDs provide much better colors and brightness. So my choice is LCD only (I didn't have experience with LCoS, though).

Hi Lin, No, I didn't change anything in "Objects and Animations". But... you DID help me to resolve this problem! The reason of sharpness decrease is... the "Low quality of resizing" option. When it is off (and it is off by default) the sharpness decreases, but if I turn it on, the problem goes out. Really funny incident. I think it's not a normal behaviour, because this option shouldn't affect on picture at all if scaling of images is disabled. You could take a look at sharpness decrease on this combined screenshot I made (see attached PNG file).

Igor, it doesn't help at all! You can note sharpness decrease even without compiling presentation. Add some small picture (with size less than preview area to avoid zooming out) to a project. Look at the picture in preview pane, then click on it and look at the picture in fullscreen. Compare! On fullscreen the picture becomes less sharpen than in preview pane.

I know. But I don't ask for a strong protection, just a simple crypting to avoid stealing non-watermarked photos will be enough. Why not? This feature just will make program more useful -- I want to watermark photos instantly using PTE, without other utils.

Can I hope to see in PicturesToExe my long-awaited feature: protection ready presentation against ripping? Currently it's not a problem to extract all contents from compiled presentation. So I have to add watermarks to all my files first, and add them to a project only after this operation. I'd prefer to watermark pictures using PTE internal feature and don't be afraid of stealing clean (non marked) originals from EXE file.

I found that PTE version 5.1 shows pictures a bit blurred, not as sharp as originals, while version 4 has no such problem at all. What the reason of this behaviour? Sorry if this problem's already discussed.
