  1. Ron - thanks for your much appreciated comments Patrick - the music I used was from Medwyn Goodall’s excellent collection of “Music for film” The first track is “Ancient” from Volume 2 - Stillness. The second track is “Celt” from Volume1 - Movement Ken - Those images are a mix of both 35mm film and digital. I use a Canon EOS600 for my conventional work and a Fuji FinePix 4700Zoom for my digital work. Thanks again folks for your comments. Spike
  2. Hi all, My new presentation takes a wander around the autumn woodland in North Yorkshire close to my home. Thanks Bill for fitting me in until I get my own space and thanks to you people for the brilliant software we are blessed with. http://www.beechbrook.com/pte/downloadfile.asp?id=641 Spike
  3. Hi Bob - Thank you for your very welcome and constructive comments about Lakeland Fells. I thought the music would be a little controversial but pleased you got the idea behind my thinking as the show progressed. Those Fells have very different moods through the seasons, sometimes lively, sometimes very tranquil and I was hoping to capture a little of that with the music. At the beginning I deliberately went for an upbeat approach. When I start out on a journey into the hills I feel very fresh, lively and full of energy and as the day wears on weariness sets in and it is inevitable that I slow down on the journey home. I was hoping the music would portray some of that by starting out lively and gradually slowing toward the end. My first presentation The Cleveland Hills was very different, it runs at a fairly tranquil pace through the entire show and that governed my thinking for the next one. I didn’t really want to create something similar for my second attempt. My next project will probably be another tranquil mood show because of the subject material more than anything. Thanks again for your input - much appreciated. Terry
  4. Best wishes to everyone and a happy and prosperous 2004
  5. Merry Christmas to you Bob. I’m in the UK - The county of Cleveland on the edge of the North York Moors. First snow of winter here yesterday (Mon 22nd Dec) and today it’s all gone so a white Christmas is unlikely but things weatherwise can change very quickly here on the north east coast. Seasons greetings to all.
  6. Many thanks also go to you boys at the helm from me for what is truly an amazing piece of software. I would never have imagined how a collection of still images could be brought to life in such a way. I’ve only got one regret and that is, wish I had found Pictures to Exe a lot sooner.
  7. Thanks folks for your prompt replies to my predicament, they are much appreciated and you have pointed me in the right direction and solved my problem. I had been trying to copy my show onto a formatted CD-R disc and not a blank disc from my desktop using copy & paste and drag & drop without success. The key to success was to use an unformatted blank disc using the disc copier in Roxio’s Easy CD Creator 5 and copying from my original file on a formatted CD-RW disc which was successfully saved from my desktop! I had tried using the Roxio software several times but made the mistake of using a formatted CD-R disc. Thanks again for your feedback. Spike
  8. I’m new to this forum and thought I should say hello to everyone first and then see if anyone can help me with a little problem I need solving. So hi to everyone and here is my dilemma. I have only just discovered PTE through Barry Beckhams magazine article so it is my first attempt at creating a slideshow with PTE and found it a very nice piece of software to use. My problem is I am unable to copy my finished 22Mb slideshow to CD-R discs but it will copy to CD-RW discs. At copy start-up it begins with the usual copying graphic and progress bar appearing on screen but then no indication of progress is displayed. This goes on for an age and after about 15 minutes my patience runs out so I abort the process. The next step is when I view what is on the disc the file icon is there and looking in properties shows the 22Mb file is on there also but on attempting to run it I get the message --- Exception EListError in module ClevelandHills.exe at 00070F1F. List index out of bounds (0). Can anyone help me sort this out? If so HELP!!! Spike
