  1. Al, Just picked up your comment - yes, thanks, I did mean '30 milliseconds' between transitions. Nettleton
  2. DaveG, Sorry not to have replied earlier - None of the slides overlap on the Timeline, there is at least 30 seconds clear between. I ran my original CD on another computer and this time it worked perfectly! The plot thickens???
  3. gogs, Will recreate the beginning of my slide show allowing a little more time for each slide/transition, then burn to CD and see what the results are. If I find I'm still skipping slides, etc., then I'll get back to the Forum!! Many thanks - Nettleton
  4. DaveG, Yes, I do have a music file on the slideshow, duration 6mins 26seconds.
  5. Funnily enough I have the same problem ie slides not showing upon playback of CD even on my own computer. I take on board the comments about the slides being too close together but on my slide show slide no 1 lasts for 4 seconds including a 3 second transition, slide no 2 lasts for 4 seconds with a two second transition, the third slide is 3.5 seconds with a 2 second transition and the 6th slide runs for 6.5 seconds with a 2 second transition. When I play back the slide show, slide 1 is ok, as is slide 2, but slide 3 shows for a fraction of a second then reverts back to slide 2 and slide 4 is skipped altogether! I have created other slideshows with similar timing and not had a problem so any more suggestions as to what is going wrong will be very welcome. Thank you - Nettleton
  6. Barry and Alan Many thanks for the links!!
  7. Have just watched the 'Create Slideshow' presentation and only wish I had been aware of it some time ago!!!! Thank you Trev C for pointing me in the right direction!!!
  8. Thanks for the quick response! I'll try your suggestions in the morning (10pm here in the UK) and will post my results. Only have a 56 modem at the moment but should be on broadband within a few days which will no doubt make the downloads much easier. Again, many thanks. Nettleton
  9. PTE Presentations 'Monocle Lens' I have recently downloaded this impressive slideshow and don't know where to begin to produce a similar type of slideshow, even after having used PTE for about 18 months! I love the way the transitions take place within a 'frame' and the way that the pictures sometimes are on only one half of the screen or even two separate pictures showing side by side. In a post dated October 16 2003 I find a comment that members are more than happy to share information on how they put together their slide shows. Consequently could Igor, Oleg or any other member please point me in the right direction to perhaps find instructions/tutorial????? I would be very, very happy and grateful for any information passed on to me.
  10. Some time ago someone was good enough in the forum to give precise instructions on how to open a PTE avi file in Ulead and gave the process to convert to a video file for burning to SVCD. I had downloaded the trial version of Ulead Movie Factory 2 but did not have any success with it. However, I have now downloaded the trial version of TMPGEnc and am ing a problem with that too! I am opening my PTE file in Version 4.20 beta #7, clicking on Video, highlighting SVCD and Interlaced video, then Create Video, Save, then get window Creating AVI file, Encoding: Audio, (encoding takes 2 mins 57 seconds and resulting file is 111,370 kb). (I have not closed the PTE file) I then open TMPGE, under Project Wizard I click Super Video CD PAL (for Europe), then next I click Browse for Video file. I find my .avi file, click on it, a box appears headed Judging Field Order and then a message saying “Can’t load ‘P3Package.dll’”. I click ok, then an abort button appears which I click. However, when I then click Browse for Audio file I can find the .avi file, I click on that and it is put in place in the Browse for Audio file box. I then click Next but of course when I click on Source range there is not a video shown, and also when I click on Click Frame. I click on ‘High quality’ in Noise reduction, click next, can see how much space the video would take on a CD, click Next which shows the Output file and, with the Start Encoding Immediately box ticked, I click OK. I then get the message “ File ………… vid469.mpg does not exist” Do you wish to create? Ok / Cancel. If I click Ok I get the message telling me that the free version can only supply 30 days of free MPG2 Encoding because of licencing matter. I only downloaded it yesterday! HELP please!!!
  11. Thank you JRR and alrobin Firstly can I explain I am new to Pictures2Exe. JRR - The .exe file size is 62mb which I now think is probably causing the problem! I'm using mp3 music downloaded some time ago and the music file size is 3.43mb. Have not tried to run CD on any other computer. alrobin - 1. I didn't use the timeline. I ran the P2e through to find which slide the last note from the first piece of music finished on, then through 'customize slide', I set the next music to start on the next slide. (This seems a clumsy way to do it but the only way I could work out at the time!!) 2. As u can tell from reply to JRR, I am using large images and some do only appear for 1 or 2 secs whereas the remainder appear for 4 secs. Will now redo my project using smaller image sizes ultimately resulting in a smaller .exe file and will post results. Thank you both Nettleton
  12. When I have completed and run a slide show on the PC, the music is syncrhonised. When I burn to CD and play the CD the music is out of synch. Any suggestions please? (And good morning from the UK - You guys do a terric job!)
