dcbyrne Posted July 3, 2009 Report Share Posted July 3, 2009 Jean-Pierre had a show posted in the Slideshows Created in Pictures ToExe section of the forum (a sketch tool). Last night I reported to the administrator a post that someone made that had nothing to do with Jean-Pierre's show but about adultery and other nonsense. I looked for the subject today and instead of the crazy post being removed I can't find anything of Jean-Pierre's subject and the responses to it. Everything has been removed. Inside such containers you can place real images and masks (black/white images) which control the opacity of the real images (similar to layer masks in PS). It's one of the problems with the way the forum software is designed. The moderator has to use great care or these accidents happen. Ken has a backup archive (posted above) and JPD has been notified as well as Igor. We are waiting to see whether Igor can recall the thread before "posting" the "Printable" archive version which has all the responses and by whom, but doesn't show the incredible number (over 2500) of "hits" that JPD's original post had. This is one of the reasons why we would like to see changes to forum software to prevent spammers from being able to easily post. Moderators try to use extreme care but late at night we get tired and sometimes click on the wrong "action" which removes the entire thread rather than just deleting the offending post.I will try to do better in the future and hopefully Igor may be able to recover the original.Best regards,Lin Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not being on the forum much in the past, I was not sure what the procedure was for removing spam. All old information in this thread is not important to me, however anything new pertaining to this tool of Jean-Pierre's is. I am looking forward (as I am sure many members are) to any new information on this drawing tool. I was on the Beta Team for a program that works in the same way as this demonstrated tool, so I am very interested in how this tool works within PTE. Tom Court was very helpful with information on how to use VisiSketchPro with PTE. I find the members of this forum to be very helpful when help is needed. A good example is the quick response from Ken in his message above and the many times Lin has helped through personal e-mail in the past.
