Bert
Halcyon Hall, I have submitted this slideshow to "slideshow club" This more than 100 year old building was located in Millbrook NY. The outside looked like something out of a movie. A few years ago my friend and I went to see what it looked inside, knowing it has been abandoned for 33 years. Shaky wooden floors, ceilings on the verge of collapse and police patrolling regularly outside made for an adventurous photo shoot. All the inside pictures are done in HDR to get the look we liked for this show. I have updated the show to 16x9 format and a MAC version. The building is now demolished. Lin Evans
Very nice images and post processing and the result is testimony to the grandeur that was...... Probably many young women received a great education inside those walls. Nature has a way of reclaiming what was hers though, so in the end once deterioration has advanced to that degree, there is no turning back the clock! Best regards,Lin

Bert
Morturn, Thanks for your comment, I read on line some of the fond memories that the "now older" women had from the time they were at Bennett College in the forties and fifties, and how sad they where to see it deteriorate to the point were it was falling apart.
