  1. I am very pleased to order. Hope every little bit helps. Thanks so much, Igor and team. These are busy days, traveling in Latin America, but I am ever so grateful for PTE over many years.
  2. This looks exciting! Can't wait. I am traveling much of the time these days, but looking forward to what I can do.
  3. Thanks to all for the helpful input.
  4. I have a fairly new Spectre which I love. They have some new ones coming out that may be great.
  5. It's time for a new Laptop PC for travel that will not move around a lot. Sort of a Desktop replacement. I want it to last for several years to come. I am willing to spend a little for a good one. Suggestions? 15" 16" 17" Dell? Asus ROG? PRoart? Should I focus more on Video card (3080) or processor (i9 12950) or RAM (16MB - 64 MB)?
  6. I left my images there, but quit using it when Smugmug took over. They did not delete my images, even though they said they would. The changes won't affect me since I am not interested in paying for iffy images.
  7. Thank you, and a Merry Christmas to you all!
  8. Thanks. That answers my question perfectly.
  9. Any updates on the best video card to use these days?
  10. You passed us somewhere along the way
  11. Nicely done. Thanks, Barry. Thanks too for the reminder of Emmit Fenn's music.
  12. For what it is worth, I have used both methods, card readers and direct connections. Perhaps about 50/50? I have had a few corrupted videos and photos, but maybe half a dozen out of 200,000 or so that I have processed in the last few years? The only disaster was the loss of a few hundred wedding photos I once lost on a backup drive--only backed up one place because I was in a hurry. The client never knew the difference (I had plenty more good images), but to this day, I do! I have had cords jerked out while transferring, Pepsi spills, you name it, rain, bitter cold (-50), monsoon rains, desert sandstorms, and my images have pretty well survived them all. I use middle-of-the-road quality cards.
