canico Posted August 18, 2014 Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 I have a sequence made in PTE Deluxe 7.0 that I want to rework in 8.0 - is it possible to move the whole sequence between these versions and if so how is it done please ? Lin Evans Posted August 18, 2014 Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 Yes - actually all you do is open the file with 8.0Just open the pte file with the latest version. As long as all the images and such are still available where they can be found by the PTE data file, everything will work just as it did with 7.0. PTE is backward compatible with all prior versions.Keep in mind that once you save the PTE file with the latest version, then you can no longer edit it with earlier versions.Best regards,Lin Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
davegee Posted August 18, 2014 Report Share Posted August 18, 2014 Just to clarify what Lin has said:It is possible to open Version 8 Projects in Version 7.5 or earlier albeit with a warning message regarding incompatibilities.But if your Version 8 project contains none of the new features of Version 8 it should be editable and will run OK.Make a Copy clearly marked "Version 8" before opening the original in Version 7.5 or earlier and you will have something to revert back to in case of incompatibility problems.DG Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
