Desktop (and Documents) are special folders in macOS and have certain restrictions for access from other apps. Try to save a .pte project to another folder, it would better to create a new folder in user's home folder for PTE projects. Please let me know about a result. UPDATE. I tried to save a .pte project into Desktop (folder) and then open it by double click in PTE AV Studio. No problem, even if I remove a permission for PTE AV Studio to access the Desktop folder.
