macOS Somona beta 5 font problem. I downloaded the latest and re-installed it, just in case something was missing.  But, the same result.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for letting me know. We'll install the latest Beta of macOS Sonoma tomorrow.

Can you check the Main menu > Settings > Language menu. What option is selected now? If not English, switch to English. If you don't see "Settings" item in the main menu, it's the 2nd item from the end. And "Language" it should be the 1st item in the Settings menu.

If English is already chosen it's related with a font rendering in PTE AV Studio.

It also can be a bug in Beta of Sonoma.

Hi Mark,

We've reproduced this issue with our Mac and macOS Sonoma BETA. We'll fix it.

Thanks!

Hi Mark,

Try a new Beta version of PTE AV Studio 11. It installs as v11.0.8 Build 2:

https://files.wnsoft.com/test/PTE-AV-Studio.dmg

https://files.wnsoft.com/test/PTE-AV-Player.dmg

We fixed the problem with fonts on macOS 14 Sonoma BETA.

Let me know about a result.

Apple has changed one system library which works with fonts that caused that problem. We found alternative solution. And I'll send bug-report to Apple.

Mark,

I just updated our Mac mini with Apple Silicon to the latest macOS 14 Sonoma Beta 5. This problem doesn't appear there. Probably Apple already fixed the issue with fonts.

Beta 5 is currently available only for developers on Mac.
