tc_leeds Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago Hi Igor, I am currently working on my Mac in the latest beta of version 12 and have come across a problem that I have managed to resolve. I have all my images etc and project files saved in a folder that ends with a ? mark The folder is named How do you like your steak? Images, audio file and the project files can be opened from this folder and I can create a Show for Mac. However, if I try and publish as video file .mp4 I cannot do so. I have changed the name of the folder so that it no longer contains the ? mark and now all is well. The solution is not to have folders named with the ? mark but thought I would pass this on. Thank you for your continued work in progressing PTE AV Studio, it is appreciated. Quote
Igor Posted 1 hour ago Report Posted 1 hour ago Hi, On macOS the "?" character is allowed in folder names, unlike Windows where it's prohibited by the OS. The issue during MP4 export the most likely occurs because the "?" symbol is interpreted as a special character by video encoders, which breaks the file path. I'll check the code if we can handle this case in a future update. Currently I recommend to avoiding "?" symbold in folder names. Also please note that even if we add this support for macOS, the project will not be able to be opened on a PC with Windows. Quote
jkb Posted 48 minutes ago Report Posted 48 minutes ago I find it best not to use any special characters at all, keep things with just AtoZ and numbers. I have found that filenames containing special characters or characters with accents will not always work when used in a Menu. Keep it simple & you shouldn't have any problems Jill Quote
