Label track along timeline

It would be useful if it were possible to drop simple labels under the time-line rather like the Audacity editor allows you to do.  I sometimes add blank slides with text inserts  but a label or some sort of flag would be useful.

I agree this could be very useful when trying to find points in say a speech or Song track.

In one very old program I have you can hit the M key while playing the track & it will drop a Marker (Vertical line) at that point.
You can then add a Label to that Marker to identify it. This greatly helps when splitting an audio track into sections.
