    Good idea a utility that is missing in Pte: the print from the program ALL objects, time in out, fade in out, music etc of any project as ultimate storyboard. A useful to be “investigate” without need or see each time the executable and / or preview. We we asked for some time, for professional use. But “Nemo propheta in patria” or No man is a prophet in his own country, exactly like Pte devoted people.

    omissis...if next version Pte (8.5, 9.0?) has, for example a "tool" similar Oak software, if other track of images (at time more sounds is possible but only track at time in use for video and still, I think same problem wrote Peter old site moderator) and if above all interface is redesigned because Pte, at time obviously, is pretty ridicule and not great as other editor for professional slideshow.

    In my opinion, your comment is not fair with the new features included in v8.

    I think the features included in V8 are much more important than to rework the interface.

    As far as I know, the Objects and animation window will be reworked in v8.5.

    To hell is paved with good intentions. No, I think "new" 8.0 is really only 7.5.11 .

    Question: this is version 8.0.? No frankly speaking at most “is” a 7.5.11! And after a year of devolepement?

    Steps:

    I Downloads Beta2 8.0 version, and I report:

    A Again Interface archaic from Paleolithic, I think on the walls of Lascaux drew better, sure

    B Buttons, and especially in Animation: horrifying

    C Audio does not follow track (if attached) to image when click on gray rectangle at the top

    D Again incredible! Video clip on time line followed (if make a sequential slides) by a slide stops exactly as in version 7.XYZ

    Vice versa if the clip (as 7.XYZ) is imported (open) in Animation and (overlay) I put a slide no problem of interruption, audio e video!

    E Rudimental text (please note Proshow5)

    F Not copy/past effects from slide XYZ to slide XYZ

    G. Too form me

    This is for now, as it appears, and be honesty I'm not going upgrade my 7.5 to fantastic (euphemism, eh) 8.0.

    Ah, new version? Wow...But I think occured an error (more). I' not writer and Pte is not Word processor exactly? Pte is a "ncie" tool for animation? Well, but, again, I want exactly no word (I'm photographer and not writer) but: T-u-t-o-r-i-a-l that explain me, step by step new functions. No other.

    Ps. Please see Youtube Proshow5 for instance: because Pte not have similar "plaza"?

    On Saturday, 3 August we had a major storm in northern Colorado. Three inch diameter hail, snows, torrential rains, flooding, six tornadoes (which fortunately did little damage) and high winds rocked our summer. It was 92 degrees fahrenheit and a calm windless day, then unbelievable storm clouds rolled over the Rocky Mountains and we were subjected to hours of lightning, rain, snow, hail, winds, tornadoes and such which are almost never seen this time of year. Fortunately, my little community was relatively untouched while three miles away, people were paddling canoes in the streets from heavy flooding.

    A 1200 acre cornfield begins about 120 feet from my front door - this is the story of this cornfield and one small inhabitant who survived to tell the story. Just a little fun project folks....

    Hi Da Campos,

    The "problem" is not with PTE - PTE only furnishes the code necessary to connect the movement of the object in the Object stack to Ctrl Pg Up, Ctrl Pg Dn, Shift Pg Up or Shift Pg Dn.

    The "problem" is with your laptop and the suggestion to try "Safe Mode" is only to determine if another program is interfering with the proper function of these commands. My suggestion is not that you normally need to "use" Safe Mode to run PTE, it is rather that using Safe Mode can help find where the problem is coming from. Thousands of people use PTE with notebook computers without this problem so in order to solve the problem it's necessary to systematically remove other running code.

    Running your system in the Safe Mode removes drivers and other software which may be loaded on startup. This will allow determining whether another program is interfering with the proper function of these keys.

    PTE is certainly not the only software which uses the Ctrl, Shift and PgUp/PgDn keys. If they do not work correctly, it would be helpful to find out why. Making code changes to PTE so you could drag the objects to the layer you wish would solve one problem, but the other problem still remains. Your system does not work correctly. Don't you want to know why?

    I have searched for all Ideas and Suggestions the YOU HAVE STARTED and the only one I can find refers to "Lightroom" and "Plug Ins".

    Start a suggestion thread for Dragging Objects in the Object Pane??

    Maybe we can determine why. What operating system are you running on your notebook and which processor? It is a pretty standard key call (Ctrl PgUp, Ctrl PgDn) and "should" work normally on any system so I'm guessing that some other running application is changing or controlling things. One way to find out is to start your system in the "safe mode" then open PTE and see if it works. If it does then work normally, it's just a matter of determining which running application is altering the process and controlling the key calls.

    Uhmmm...Seven Professional 8 Mega Ram + Invidia with 2 Mega...no I think other not computer.

    (if I see Youtube tutorial of use Proshow 5 levels is easy, and does not require any "safe mode" or Devil's tools)

    If you want that PTE should behave in that way i.e. to be able to DRAG objects higher or lower (in front of or behind other objects) in the Object List then why not make a clear request in the "Suggestions for the next version" Thread?

    I am sure that many here would endorse your request??

    Hi Da Campos,

    Are you saying that your notebook computer does not have Pg Up, Pg Dn, or Ctrl or Shift keys? Or, are you saying that you have them, but they do not work as expected?

    What happens if you "right click" on an object in the Objects List? Do you get a drop-down Menu? If yes, does clicking on one of the choices move objects up or down in the Objects List?

    What brand and model notebook computer do you have?

    Thanks. But my notebook has key Pg etc. Right click open sub menu however "up" or "down" don't work as R.I.P. (Requiscat in Pace or Rest in Pace)

    Does your laptop have an FN key or a NumLock? If so, it may be toggled so that pressing PgUp, PgDn isn't functioning as expected?

    Thanks for reply: Fn and not Num Lock. No Ctrl or Shift, no Pg up or down work, as right click add sub menu. I spend time and time to re-work at minimum change. Impossible!

    Ps. A question to programmers: how move you inside layers in Photoshop? Please see a Proshow 5: easy as pie!

  24. Condensing/collapsing a group of images

    I wish to suggest a feature that would greatly facilitate the sorting of slides in the Slide List.

    I would like to be able to highlight a consecutive group of slides, and collapse them into a single "box" in the Slide List (perhaps via a right-click option). That would preserve the order within the box (of a group that has been carefully sequenced), and allow the box to be moved around, just like a single slide. A right-click option on the box would expand the box contents and restore the display of individual slides.

    I would be happy to leave it to Igor to decide such matters as:

    how to give a name to a box

    how to show a box in thumbnail view and in table view

    whether boxes would be preserved during a save

    whether nesting of boxes could be allowed - I would use that feature if it were available.

    Hi

    this is second “orchestra rehearsal”. One year later its conclusion (summer two thousand and twelve) "Ora meridiana" or afternoon as look like (if possible) many classic architectures "pas fini" that can you to see but never fully completed . I made several versions of the video, even colored, with different soundtrack. However the big difficulty in Era of globalized world is to succeed in make it clear “moods” for people other cultures, different of Greek-Latin esprit. For this reason "Ora meridiana" est pas fini. At time.
