  1. You'd think they would at least look after their own!
  2. Granot - I think you have no need to keep your latest in the drawer. I am sure there are many users who appreciate your on-going products. It is just a matter of not being always able to keep up with your very quick response time. But please don't let our schedules slow you down. Thank you for your attention and utilities.
  3. Thank you Stu for the gift. I look forward to using it. Thank you Stu and Rick for the conversation. I learn far more in reading this forum than I do when I am searching for specific info in a time of need. XP (now on a family machine here) has intrigued me and your brief views are helpful.
  4. Thanks Rudi for "confessing" the number of hours you have invested in your creation. I sometimes fear to admit how long some of my PTE ideas demand! I understand fully when you start with a simple idea and the ideas just keep flowing. But I have certainly never completed such a complex project as you have accomplished. Fun, eh?
  5. I'll second your (e)motion Rick. This creation is great - in every way. I suspect I'll just let it run while I work (after having oogled over it first). Rudi is a trained professional in video arts and it is apparent in his approach to this project. Congratulations Rudi and thank you for sharing with us.
  6. And jays, nice to see you back. Stick around if you can.
  7. Maybe Igor or Support will confirm - I think this is on Igor's list to alllow scroll of entire path.
  8. I don't know if this is the causal problem, but I think you would be safer to have all your files in the root directory of your cd.
  9. As I understand, "preview" function is malfunctioning for you. What happens when you use "create as" from the PTE file menu? I had to come back and edit this message to mention how much I enjoyed a visit to your fractal site when you mentioned it. Your art is so well done. I probably didn't read everything, but I presume you have been an artist before you were a computer artist?
  10. You are right boxig. Bart has dedicated a huge effort with a great result. It would certainly be nice if more of us could benefit from his efforts. I think there are quite a few photographers who also are interested in genealogy or family history type photos. Bart's wife has her influence in that (genealogy) area of the site.
  11. The "same to you" Bart. You deserve a great Christmas season. Your PTE Christmas greeting reminded me that I am curious if anyone here has actually sent out presentations on CD's as their actual Christmas cards? Anyone?
  12. We will just expect it no later than New Years! But the real truth is - you have a lot of very appreciative friends out here. Your contributions are always appreciated and eagerly anticipated. It is our "thanks" that should not be late. And, getting it after Christmas, we won't have to worry about disposing of all the gift wrapping.
  13. Thanks. I have yet to find the video edit program I want. This deal is a good opportunity to try this one.
  14. I have the same excuse as Guido. But I do want to send a couple for you to consider. Thanks for the invitation. Soon.
  15. Do to my own time constraints I can't yet vouch for this particular endeavor. But I can vouch for both of you - nobeefstu for your technical expertise on so much helpful stuff - and boxig for your thinking "outside the box" creations. Thanks guys
  16. Oli, I think this software should work very well for what you want. Truelight is just having fun with the reputation that slide shows, home movies, etc. have for boring the neighbors or captured audiences. If your viewing audience is made up of enough participants who are in your show or have a really strong interest in you or your subject, you should find very few casualties after the show. Just be sure you have the show ready far ahead of your deadline and test the show on the exact hardware that you will be using. This will increase the chance that your multitude of viewers will be watching in awe, not waiting in awe.
  17. I agree Tripstrilles, that would be a very useful feature. I think it certainly can be done with Igor's skill. It would be very nice to be able to "pace" a section of a show with appropriate music pieces. Long smooth sections and other more energetic quick slide changes until the next different music brings it's own sync pace. Very handy.
  18. I guess Guido, your latest post is a claim of neither fame nor shame.
  19. I say Granot, if you work as hard to keep your wife happy as you do Guido, you must have a happy marriage!
  20. Now you can have some fun. And if you can show some of it to us, that too will be fun.
  21. I think Igor needs a CERTAIN AREA of his website where registration problems are checked by his support and WITHOUT FAIL reponded to EVERY DAY. All of us agree, this recurring problem should be able to be history only. This is as important for Igor as it is for each frustrated purchaser who encounters the problem. Most purchases and registrations go smoothly, but that is llimited comfort to those who wait and wait.
  22. In case it helps - The first time I ran your show a few weeks ago, there was NO sound until about where the photo of the small boat is. When I ran the show a couple of days later, there was sound just fine for the entire production. (To me this would seem to support Guido's theory.)
  23. Hey, I always appreciate these public discussions. This is how we learn beyond the FAQ. Now Guido, are you saying you did the same as Ernst but you used Accoustica MP3 mixer as Ernst used Total Recorder? It seems that such a method would allow us to take the midi sounds from a high quality board and preserve them to sound much better on a pc with a lesser board than they might sound as midi on a cheap sound card? Do you two agree?
  24. I think Bart deserves both thanks and a well deserved "plug" here. While this PTE forum was "out of business", it was a great help and comfort to me to be able to log onto bart's site Bart and Cindy's Portal to learn what was going on with our PTE forum. Others who were able to get in contact with Igor were able to share their helpful info with anyone who was aware or remembered bart's site. I'm sure it took a special effort by Bart to be so helpful too as he was doing a major upgrade of his site when PTE went down. So, my hat is off to Bart and I suggest others who have not yet been there, should get acquainted. Who knows, we may have an emergency again, and in the meantime there is a fine site with good information waiting. And of course an eager-to-help webmeister. Thanks bart :D
  25. Bothell, we all understand your concern. The "firm" is very dedicated "Igor" and staff in Russia. They are very occupied with making the program continually better and still try to keep the business details working too. The problem you are having is not "usual" but it is also not rare enough. You can be sure however that there is no evil intent to defraud you and you will get your key. Someday, someone, will be the almost last one to have this problem.
