  1. Be sure that I will try them and will give you feedback. :)

I found your grids very helpful to precisely adjust an object.

    Thanks again Al.

IMHO, your grid(s) should be included in PTE under the "tools" options in the O/A window (like the "show safe TV zone" option).

I'm sure Igor is ready to give you a lot of money to use them... :D

Actually, for instance you have to add it as a new object.

And the more I think about it, the more I find a drag and drop feature to add an object in a slide would be really nice (something like in Proshow Producer with the CTRL key or whatever).

    May be one day ?

  2. I found a tip a few days ago but forgot to post it.

I'm sure most of you already know it now, but for the others who missed it, here it is:

in the "Objects and Animation" window, you can play the whole current slide in the visualization screen by pressing on the "Play" button.

But instead of playing the whole slide, you can choose to play it from a selected point by clicking on anywhere you want in the timeline (at the bottom of the window).

Notice that you have to press "Play" first and then click on the timeline.

Very interesting feature, especially if your slide has a long (or very long) display time... :D

May be it would be interesting to add this tip in the future Tutorial. ;)

  3. "What's new in v5.00:

    + Improved Navigation bar.

    > Added support of skins. You can add any images of buttons and background,

Navigation bar can be semi-transparent and has a shadow. See folder "NavBar

in PicturesToExe's folder. Just add new folder to create new style of Navigation bar."

Did anybody already tried ? :)

  4. Jeff and Thedom,

Further to the original topic of this thread, you are both correct, provided you have selected an aspect ratio the same as that for the monitor you are using to create the show.

    .............................

    Al,

I'm not sure to fully understand your explanations (not your fault I guess, I really have to improve my english ! :( )

Anyway, what I wanted to point out is that if you choose "CoverScreen" in the Project Options, each object that you add in the slideshow should automatically have this option set by default in the O/A screen, no matter your aspect ratio you choosed for your slideshow and no matter the aspect ratio of your screen.

    Do you agree ?

  5. Igor,

Thank you so much for those great news on the future improvements ! :D Ron and Igor, about "the cover screen option" problem , I think I understand how it should work but I really think that's there is still a little problem but maybe I'm not clear.

Here is what I do :

    - File > New Project

    - In project options, in the screen tab, I choose "cover screen" in the list box.

    - I add a picture in the slide list.

    - I select this slide

    - I click on "Objects and animation".

    - In the "Properties" tab, the display mode is "Fit to screen" and the picture doesn't cover the screen.

I can change this mode in the list box and choose "cover screen" (and it does) but I suppose it should be already set to "Cover Screen". Am I right ? Ron, could you please make the test too ?Thanks. :)

  6. While on that subject, what is the operation of having the additional object images become indented from the parent object? I notice in members PTE demos that some are indented and some are not. What is the effect and purpose of the indentations?

    Bill

    It's to group objects.

The son objects will automatically have the same effects as the parent object and they can have their own too ! Endless possibilities.

You can have a look at this post (and the followings) : http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index....indpost&p=28365

To really understand and see it in action, you can experiment, that's the best way to learn. :)

  7. I can have reasonnable doubts for the end version !!!

Some people are never happy / always complain about something / are not fair with the amount of efforts of other people.:angry::o

Please Igor don't take any consideration in this kind of message, I'm pretty sure that 99,99% of PTE users have no doubt about the final release.

I think that you and your team ARE true magicians, and I really mean it.

Btw, could you tell us how many people are in the development team and what's their names ? :)

Everybody located in the same area ?

  8. Just a fun experiment (with no sound).:)

Very nice, I love it !

    The idea is great !

Just to experiment, I added a frame (with all your objects grouped inside) with zoom, rotate and pan motion ( ) to add a little more animation ( :D ) and I added this flies sound

(that I found on http://www.findsounds.com in case you didn't know this site  ).

    Really immersive.

wait until you see what Hawk (another retired bloke) has come up with, with just a simple variation on this theme! It is really awesome! I hope he posts it.

Can't wait to see that. :)

  9. Thanks for your advice Al, it really helped ! :)

(even if I would prefer something easier and faster ;) ).

The result (here) is still not convincing but it's better than it was.

Btw, I think I found an other (minor) bug / something not implemented yet :

in projects options, screen tab, the cover screen mode doesn't seem to be applied to the slides (always "fit to screen").

  10. If he asked for money for you, I think he's right but I doubt it was the case.

    Really annoying this hack.

I know two phpbb forums that where hacked and they had the last update.

The hackers deleted all the messages. :o

In cas you didn't do it, you should do a fresh backup copy of your database and files... Just a suggestion. :)

  11. I noticed something really annoying when you want to precisely adjust an object motion. <_<

Quite often (at least, it's my case :P ) I need to pan or zoom on an object and this adjustement is completely linked to the position of an other object in the next/previous slide (especially with "cut" transition).

But in the O/A window, you only can view the animations of the current slide :(

(Or may be I missed something ?)

Sorry to ask again for something else but it would be really helpful to have the ability to see the beginning of the next slide/the end of the previous slide in the current slide.

    Is it possible ?

  12. Pour JPD : Héhéhé, merci, je vais voir ce que je peux faire ! :P

For lumenlux: i noticed you can save a show as a template but I have no idea of how you can open it.

And what is the purpose of templates compared to projects ?

I suppose there is something different but what ?
