  1. Hi, a recurrent bug with 3D objects in preview when parameters are very close to 0. Fortunately, this does not affect the correct execution of the show . See screen copies in the project. The strange behavior occurs when PTE is not in full screen. In the slide view, select Slice 2. Titillate the screen size. The ghost picture is likely to appear. Platform: version 8.0.21 (but I have encountered this with previous versions) OS Windows 8.1 Workstation Intel Core i7 4790, 32 GB RAM, NVidia GeForce GTX 770 Best regards, Charles 3D display_Aug30-2016_16-58-08.zip
  2. Artem & Igor, Congratulations for your efficiency. Version v8.10 perfectly fixes the bug. PTE and the WnSoft Team are really great Charles
  3. Hi all, Curious behavior in "Image Border". Expected animation: 1- start with a picture (face2_3x2.png), 2- fragment it into r rows and c columns, 3- contract the picture 4- dissolve with the next picture (face5_3x2.png) 5- come back to the initial size I did the framentation using "Canvas Size" from "Adjust Image and Border". It's OK with 1-dimension fragmentation (horizontal or vertical slices). It's OK with a 2x2 fragmentation. The things go wrong with other 2-dimension fragmentations: the picture is blurred. Included in the zip are: - my pte project, - the 2 pictures, - a PC executable - a MAC executable (not tested!) The show consists of 4 slides: 1 - 2 rows and 2 columns -> OK 2 - 1 row and 64 columns -> OK 3 - 64 rows and 1 column -> OK 4 - 8 rows and 8 columns -> Ugly In slides 2, 3 and 4 I have the same number of fragments; the behavior is different. Questions: 1 - Has someone encountered this issue? 2 - Can you explain the observed behavior? 3 - Is there a way to avoid the blur (of course, I wish to avoid making n*r sub-images, or using masks). Remark 1: I tried with jpg instead of png: same observations. Remark 2: Strange point: It seems that 2-dimension fragmentations in custom transition are not blurred. Different algorithm? Bug? Only WNSoft can answer. Remark 3: If you have a look at my pte, it is an automatic generation. So the animation is strictly structured and a direct hand-coding might lead to lighter code. Any remark or suggestion is welcome Charles fragmentation test En_Dec8-2014_15-09-08.zip
  4. Hi Dave, Thank you for sharing this style.. You should mention that your style works better with square pictures. For my first test, I used a 3:2 picture and the shape was somewhat surprising. Charles
  5. Hi all! We have opened a thread on a related topic on //www.diapositif.net. (http://www.diapositif.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=38298). Of course, the language for discussion is French. The title of the thread is "Styles 3 et 4 écrans par vue". The purpose is to split the screen into 3 or 4 parts and have different independent transitions in these parts. Tonton Bruno has proposed 12 different styles. Have a look. On this French site you can also find the JPD masks revisited and extended by DenisB. This has been published in the "Custom transition forum" (for initial JPD masks revisited see http://www.diapositif.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=38117) (for additional masks see http://www.diapositif.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=38236) May this inspire new experiments Recently, Lin has registered to the French site. He mentioned that he did not speak French but he used Google translations to access our forums. Why not try? I hope this may help. Charles (pseudo chjandre ) PS: Tonton Bruno, DenisB, Jean-Cyprien and I have frequent visit to your sites.
  6. many thanks to all of you. Your explanations are clear and instructive (especially those given by Lin). I'll run the proposed tests (illustrations are sometimes better than explanations). As pointed out by Dave, I was misled by mp4 generation when I thought that PTE animations were flatten. Now, I know that my show is translated into a set of instructions and then the execution of this set is delegated to the hardware. So, the same executable file can result in very different performance according to the underlying hardware (available memory, power of the CPU, and presence of GPU). I have also noticed that generating executable on a high performance graphical station may lead to disappointing shows when played back on standard computers. Whatever, I am always filled with admiration when I see what can be done with PTE. Best regards, Charles
  7. Hi all, I have a technical question concerning the "guts" of PTE. Does the generated excecutable file depend on the quality of the graphic card? I ask this question because I develop my PTE shows on my working station, equipped with a "good" graphic card, and then I port the executable show on my PC note book. What about a direct generation on the PC note book (with its less efficient graphical card)? Are the two executable files of different quality? A second question about the "mystery" of the code generation. Sometimes I imagine very complex 3D animations (with more than 50 nested levels). It appears that an efficient graphic card is very useful in this case. I guess that the compilation "flattens" the different levels (Am I right?). If this is the case, the graphic card becomes less critical to executable files (true or false?). Yours sincerely, Charles
  8. Hi all, thank you Bert for your comments I am the author of this show. I often browse through this forum and there I find very interesting things. I could not imagine my slideshow mentioned on this forum. The show is about a dream, so there is no language barriers. I'd like to give the translation of the prologue: "10 000 years ago, Sahara was a savannah. So are many other deserted places, inhabited by the ghosts of the past." This is the starting point of the dream. Caveats: there is no sound during the prologue (25 seconds). Don't adjust your sound level! Thanks to Bert, you may have a look at "Dream or Reality". Enjoy! Charles
