From the .EXE: Yes! Hit Print screen and then Ctrl+V in your favourite image editor. From the .PTE: No! It's just a text file with (among other things) the paths to the image files.

Try emptying your Temporary Interet Files and then make yet another download. It's worth a try!

If you install over your previous installation, there is no need for the registration key. Some people prefer uninstalling the old one first. I never did. And experienced no problem whatsoever.

You can do the same thing with animated .GIFs. Just load the .GIF into e.g. IrfanView; then select Options | Extract all frames. Convert all the resulting .BMPs to .JPGs, again using IrfanView (File | Batch Conversion/Rename). Then just make an animated slideshow. Rather neat.

Well, just "establish a standard format", e.g. decide on your show settings (Close show after last slide, ...), the action for a left mouse click (I always use Previous slide instead of the default Exit), if you want to show the Navigation bar, etc, etc. Then save this as a template (i.e. without any images) and give it a suitable name. And if you want to use this template for ALL your presentations just select your template (under Files | Templates | Manage templates and tick the box Default template for new projects:

He's just moved it. Click on the button Project Options. Then on the Comments tab check Set comments for all slides as: and choose Picture name.

"Manually enter" - what do you mean by that? Typing them? No automation of course but you can browse to them.
