Hello .. Can figure out what's wrong with masks in PTE 7.0.6 First image the mask work perfectly as it should but subsequent slides the mask is not recognized. I used PNG with transparency background, I used JPEG file with pure black and white .. Is this a possible bug in this old version? Thanks in advance Sami

Firstly, my apology if you were offended .. My comment was not directed at you. The original author of this thread asked if the software periodically go on sale, fair question. What puzzled me is comment/reply made about pirated copy of the software!! My personal experience is similar with the reply to diverged when I ask legitimate question. For month and a half now I've been asking if there is a time frame for version 9 release, so I could make a decision whether to upgrade now or wait. All I got is soon, wait and see and links to the software comparison, I already know this there is also the demo V8 to download and test drive the software. I use the software for business and if the new release is going to be six months to a year then I would upgrade now and make the decision about version 9 when released. I hope that explain my frustration about asking simple questions in this forum and getting the runaround. Regards, SM

I go back to 2002 when it was only one version of the software with free update, I have never seen it on sale. Just be aware new version will be released soon / 2 - 3 months etc. etc. if you could wait the software is an excellent choice in comparison. In my opinion the developer is shooting himself in the foot by vague announcement!! Not to mention nonsense reply from senior members in this forum!! Just my .2 C

Thanks for giving the timeframe for version 9.0 Just for clarification if I purchase the upgrade to version 8 I think it's about $34 when the new version is released I will have to upgrade another time, is that right ? Or you provide a grace period to upgrade to the newer version when released Thanks

The major difference is being able to save custom styles and transitions, I'm pretty sure there's more.

Hi Yachtsman1, I'm not sure this is correct my deluxe license indicate free upgrade until July 10, 2012, I believe I'll have to buy a new upgrade license V8. thanks for the suggestion

Thanks lin and thedom for the information about making template I was looking for it. But now how do you merge two or more different templates into one project. I am trying to do an introduction and an ending template and another one that goes in between. The middle one is just a basic sequence and transitions but the introduction is short but more complicated with animation and at least 7 to 10 images layered in one slide. I was wondering what's the easiest ways to accomplish what I want so I could quickly make slideshows without having to repeat the process with project individually. Now I understand how to make a template what I don't understand is how to merge them together. And then do it all over again for a new project .. I am using PTE deluxe 6.5 beta 11 Thanks in advance.

Thanks PTE community, managed to find a solution on my own the old fashion way trial and error and siphoning through this link. I still may decide to upgrade to take advantage of the iPhone capability!! ... just in case someone else is looking for the same thing!! Cheers

Is ths possible ? I have a license for the basic PTE not the deluxe version, do I have to upgrade to deluxe in order for me to accomplish what I want? Or that's not possible with PTE no matter what version I'm using!! I tried to upload the .avi file produced by the program but I got this error message from Facebook: "You recently uploaded a video to Facebook. Unfortunately, it could not be processed. This can happen for a couple of reasons: * The file you uploaded is not actually a video file. Make sure you can play it on your computer before uploading. * The video format you uploaded is not supported by our system.
