  1. Hi! All, I have difficulty logging on to Vimeo from within P2e to upload, When I try to upload a show I get the error message "Your login was incorrect" so no uploads can be made. I have no problem going to the site and logging on. Has anybody else had the problem and if so ,Whats the fix?? Tom
  2. OH! dear, I've just contributed to another off topic post, Ken, you should know better than to let this happen!!!!!
  3. Hi! TC, I have a sneaky feeling that I'm one of the users Ken mentioned, Have a look at the image below and let me know if this is in your required ball park, if so, give me a call and I'll tell you how to go about it. The image below has many variables so you can quickly arrive at an effect you like. Tom.
  4. Tom, I do all my editing on high resolution images, it's only when I'm happy with the results will I resize and save as a Jpeg or png. file. Hope this helps. Tom.
  5. Barry, I agree, Camp chatter has now Gone. Peter, Once again I agree with your points and I have made changes as I saw fit. Eric, My research, at my public library tells me Lee was overall commander with Brigadier General P.G.T. Beauregard being the field commander, on the Union side Major Robert Anderson commanded at fort Sumter, Bombardment continued by confederate artillery for 27hrs until ,heavily out numbered and out gunned, Anderson was forced to surrender. No one was killed during this engagement on either side. After the war Anderson was considered a national hero and promoted to Brigadier Gen, he later became the forces recruitment officer. As a historian,I would be grateful if you would confirm these facts as you could save me some embarrassment in the future. Thanks to all of the above for some very useful critique. Tom.
  6. Igor, Thats great news, I'll have to start putting more pennies into my piggy bank to save for a burner. Tom
  7. Igor, I Imported and old project of mine into 5.6, a show with some objects that I had over sharpened. I Simply checked the mip-mapping box and low and behold, no more shimmering and objects moving silky smooth, a show that I have now resurrected, I can't thank you enough. Whats next....Burning to Blue Ray disc's? Tom.
  8. Hi! All, Well as promised, I listened to Forum members suggestions and Ideas, incorporated what I thought would be an improvement on the original and this is the result. My thanks go to all who gave critique, in some cases spoke to me live on Messenger with ideas and learning points. Hope you enjoy, and please, if you have any further learning points don’t hesitate to get in touch. Here is your link. http://www.mediafire.com/?qnxnwniiaki Tom.
  9. Peter, This is how I have to do it and it works a treat, and I say if it ain't broke, don't fix it:- First Next Finlay I think this is how you do it? By the wat.... My e-mail programme is Incredimail, security settings are different again. Tom. Sorry, can't spell way..... Timetable2008.pdf
  10. Brian, Im afraid I'm with Peter on this one......you are correct in discribing the upload process but when upload is complete it's placed in your "Manage uploads" folder accessed from just above the upload button, I then place my curser in my post where I want my attachment to appear, go to my managed uploads foled and choose the attachment I want. If you operate in a different why I would be interested. Tom
  11. Eric, For me the best quality was on the first recording, all tho I suspect the other two are suffering from lack of experience on your part in using the equipment. You say the microphone was placed about 3in away from your mouth to record your singing, well for me 3 miles would have been a better distance. LOL . Tom
  12. Brian, I apologize to all, it just goes to show that a little knowledge can be dangerous, especially in the hands of an aging scouser. Tom.
  13. Eric, I'm not to sure if you can use your H2 through your iMic, I think, and I could be wrong, that you can only use the H2 as a microphone with your computer via USB, iMic doesn't support USB, read pages 73 to 77 of your H2 manual. In either case I think it would be prudent to heed Brains warning in his earlier post about powered Mic's and the iMic. Tom
  14. Eric, I thought you might be interested in the mics I use:- This one is the cheap thing I was telling you about, it sits on it's plastic stand on my desk top and is used for most computer needs, plugged into the iMic, the quality is great, This one I have also used with the iMic, it's powered by 2 x AA batteries that live in the body, now days I use it with my Zoom H2 for OB recordings. Finlay my H2, I haven't owned this piece of kit for very long and I'm still on the learning curve, up to now the recordings I have made are first class in quality. I hope this has been of some help and in conclusion, I think your clip on will perform OK with your iMic. Lets have a sample of a recording you will make. Tom.
  15. Eric, Why don't you get yourself a cheap plastic stick Mic from any computer shop or computer fair. Thats what I did... bunged a wind sock on it (just to make it look more pro on my desk) plugged it into the iMic and recorded the butterflies demo that Brian Kelly (Conflow) rates and has recommends as a good example of a quality sound track leaving out my dulcet scousers accent. I think I paid something like 3 quid ( about the cost of a pint) about 12 months or so ago and I'm still using it to-day talking with Ken Cox, Ronnie West, Peter Appleton etc: on Messenger Live daily: if you want to have an audio experts opinion why don't you ask them. If this cheap thing works great for me, I'm sure your clip on will perform OK when plugged into the iMic. Tom.
  16. Sorry Cobber I don't, I'll pop over and make some enquieries for you LOL. Tom
  17. Barry, Thanks for the info, your method above is exactly how I do it, but now and again I'll change the white to very pastel shades of colour for variety, Don't you think it would be great if we could rotate our brushes especially with the none circular types? I don't make png files of edges, I prefer to have unique effects for each image, but then that's just me, besides I don't have much else to do with my retirement. Please check your e-mail for news of a forth coming event, I've sent you the detail so this time you don't miss out. Tom.
  18. Peter. Great show, for me there was also a wobble in the sound, but that apart your sync work was out of the top drawer. You say you used your H4, well I have the H2 and a question if I may...You say you record in wave, am I correct in recording at 44.100 @24 or is 16 bit ok? This sequence would go down well at "The Great Northern" in December, I'll see you in the dining room if you are taking lunch. I'm off now to research the area you took your shots, It looks great for a couple of away days. Tom.
  19. Barry, This made with other software, do you think it's better than the earlier one I constructed using Photoshop controls? It's difficult to decide on the amount of toning to give, maybe wise to use various amounts for each image, what's your thoughts? I have used a slightly toned mask for the edges ( an off white effect), I would also welcome your opinion on what brush to use, also at what settings to create pleasing edge effects, I'm not being a pain for asking to many questions am I? I hope Xaver isn't reading this or he will complain we are once again off topic LOL. Tom
  20. Hi! Barry, Thank you for your kind words. All your comments have been taken on board and I would like to run through them one at a time. I accept what you are saying about the fades (in this sound track there are a lot) but I don’t necessary fully agree, I think sounds are a matter of personal choice, rather like colour and saturation, I will however give your suggestion a try and review the results (thank god for Audition project files) making changes should be a breeze. Now to the crowd chatter, I’ll let you inter a little secret if you promise not to tell anyone..LOL..the crowd noise was inserted in an attempt to hide the poor quality of the underlying music, I struggled trying to find suitable material and I grabbed this from an old video using Audition, sadly the quality wasn’t as good as I expected hence the cover up. As to your sepia suggestion... First rate. I have included an image below, Is this what you had in mind? If so I’ll have to construct an action in Photoshop as I have over 90 images in the sequence. Tom
  21. Barry, I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but try this site, videos recorded using the Zoom H2 recorder. http://www.zoom.co.jp/english/index.html Tom
  22. Hello All, As promised heres my Civil War show, please have a look and critique for me, particularly the sound track. http://www.mediafire.com/?ngdsfxt219n It's 23 mg in size and runs for about 8 Minutes Tom.
  23. Hi! Dave, Super sequence flows just right, your photography is top hole, I'm jealous as hell. Must save my pennies and pay a visit. Tom
  24. Michel, A great show, I enjoyed it very much, Thank you for sharing. Tom
  25. TOM, I hope these screen grabs will be of some help, just click on them to enlarge. And And. Finaly. As you can see, I'm working on my sequence as I write this message. Any problems, give me a call. Tom.
