Well I thouroughly enjoyed that. You dont need professional bells and whistles to make something enjoyable. I'm delighted to see you travel in a trailer camper, 'cause we do to. We call it a caravan over here and yours looks fantastic. What a variety of places you have seen.
Question, who empties that parking meter in your garden?
That was well worth watching.

I was playing with settings and stuff and noticed somewhat to my amazement that after adding just one slide of 58k the projected size of the .exe file was showing as 2.3 meg!
I dont get that at all. Can anyone help with an explination of that please?

What an experience that must have been. Once in a lifetime that one.

Another good one Davy. The faces kinda reminds you of the UK workforce today!

Oh dear! I had to turn this off. I'm sorry. It's exactly 1 year to the day that our best pal 'Digger' left us.He watched over us for 19 years and his loss was a severe blow.
I've kept it to watch another time.

Hi Eric, What a fine set of entries. I noticed in the steam fair entry there was an engine with an ' Ayr County Council Highways Department ' plaque, given that I live in Ayr that got my notice.
That chip van seems to appear at every venue! The members must be very proud of their first AV entries.
I wont presume to mark as you ask since I dont think I'm qualified to do so. Do pass on my congratulations to the members on a fine set of entries and wish them well for the future.

The quality of the images is stunning. I like the idea of the full screen but with the white trim.
I would have prefered a soundtrack with more variety tho. Thats my only gripe.
Otherwise its a cracker.

I use the explorer thing in the files window not the slide list. If you look at the window above the slide list where your images are waiting to be selected, you can select any image then simply right click >explore > then open with > and you should see photoshop in the list. Saves a lot of hassle.

Great work Davy. It fills my 23" screen.
[Thank god for Enya and Lord of the Rings eh!]

I just watched all 3 Davy. These are brilliant M8. Loved all 3 but Frozen and Beneath were spectacular.

Andrew, dont you wish you had taken them yourself
great collection

Yes Ken. It must be so satisfying to be in an enviroment where images like those are available. We have some of the best landscapes here in Scotland.
For me tho the problem is getting to them, my wheelchair doesnt do well on dirt roads, although I may have it altered for off road.

This is again created from wallpapers given freely for use without copyright.
This time I was looking at 'matching' a soundtrack to a set of slides, that is selecting music that suits the tempo and subject matter. Someting I havent done to well in the past.
In fact I had to increase the transition time which I've never done before. So:
15.7meg
3:36seconds
27 slides
1 soundtrack 3:34seconds
1 slide with very subtle animation
Timings: 8 seconds with 5 second of that as transitions.
The overlay is sized at 1900x1080

Nice one Mary. Love the photography.
[Question - How do you do the external/direct link to your .exe file please?]
Andrew
-
Not sure what this was about but I didn't like it.
Hi Freggle,
Welcome to this very friendly and helpful forum. You'll find that whatever question you ask here, whether it's on timing or transitions or in the case of my example above how to execute a particular movement you'll get all the help you need, given freely and with courtesy.
Whether you like a particular movement/effect is of-course your own choice, but you may wish to consider that the OP asks their question, based on the need to understand how to achieve a particular set of effects/movements etc. The advice given is based on that and not on our personal likes and dislikes. It really wouldnt do if we got the answer, "I'm not helping 'cause I dont like it" would it?
There are a wealth of facilities in P2E and I'm sort of the low guy in the food chain around here, so I ask many and varied questions, in an effort to understand them.
I notice in your intro your also new to P2E, so may I again welcome you to the best forum for AV and look forward to seeing your own presentatins in due course.
