  1. OK, fine, thank you Igor !
  2. Thank you, Igor. I can wait ! The most important thing is that you're aware of the problem, and looking for a solution. Thanks for fixing the bugs.
  3. First of all, my apologies for the long delay to answer your so kind messages. Ah, Peter, if it was as easy as that to take over the mantle of Jean-Pierre ! No, he had a lot of surprising good ideas I haven’t. And a big experience of PTE. Thanks a lot, Dear Peter for your kind appreciation. I know you like Rubik’s Cube. The framework is just a great number of cubes ! So, David, you too like the framework ! To move the view through it is not really easy (it’s necessary to stop at each floor…) but I have had fun playing with all this sticks ! Thank you my friend, to remember me. Dear Etienne, I see you are careful with the Google language tools. When I was to verify the introduction, “its dear yoke” was translated as “its expensive mutton” !!!). Now I think 1) one challenge a year is enough, 2) The Eiffel tower is of no interest : la “Grande Dame” is already in 3D with Google SketchUp (see GoogleEarth !) 3) I want to do AV with stereoscopic views, and it’s not easy 4) Igor is working to improve PTE, and I’m sure the new versions will be more and more interesting . Thank you Andrew, but it’s still possible to do much complicated ! With time ! Thank you too, John. With PTE, it’s possible to do a lot a beautiful things, never dreamed last year !! The improvement is very important, thanks to Igor and his team. Now, there is a new version of PTE I need to test ! Thanks again for your comments. Jean-Cyprien
  4. A lot of thanks to all of you, who’ve been kind enough to write a word of appreciation. Ken, always the first to react so kindly ! TheDom, yes, I’m sure you imagine that the building takes a long time. But not really difficult, even for the bells. The animation is not always easy : PTE knows just 2D objects in a 3D space (not too bad !!! ), but it ignores the 3D objects. So, it’s not easy to move around them. Thank you. Thank you, Lin. You make me blush. And Colin too !! Yes,Don , it’s 100% PTE. And just 8 views ! so you can do that without a licence !!! (I’ve one, of course !) Ah, Xaver, my aim was (is) not to create animation for animation (for this, other softwares are certainly much better, I agree absolutely ), but just to see how PTE is working with a lot of objects, KeyPoints, etc, etc. And I agree too, that such a sequence is not easy to put in a AV (and asks too much work) . It was just for the fun. And to be able to juggle with PTE ! Thank for leaving your viewpoint. Thank you Dick, tout le plaisir était pour moi !
  5. I wanted to tell how my little bell Choupinette (a gentle nickname for a little girl) had returned from Rome to distribute to the wise children full of chocolate eggs. But I did not have time enough, and I could only finish the end, for a premiere performance at Easter, to my friends of the Jean-Pierre, JPD’ forum , Diapositif. It’s now my pleasure to offer to you this fantasy, and with a lot of delay, to wish to all of you a heap of good things. I hope that for you, the fluidity will be there. Nevertheless, remember of closing PTE and the other large programs. My link Here is what I tell in introduction : Tell of Easter My little bell Choupinette has just ended its first journey in Rome. It’s again at home, it’s now at the bottom of the big tower. The journey was very trying, and Choupinette is completely exhausted. Will it have the strength to rise above, quite above ? It’s going to find its Grandma and Grandpa, and naturally its dear yoke (in French, yoke is a “mouton” = a sheep , so it could be like a teddy bear !) Very firmly hung on it, it’s finally going to be able to relax. Then it takes heart again, it pushes the main entrance, and enters
  6. Last Thursday, after a very moving farewell ceremony, Jean-Pierre was cremated according to his desire. On behalf of all his (and her) friends who owe to him so much, I covered his ashes of rose petals. Thanks again, Jean-Pierre, and rest in peace. Jean-Cyprien
  7. Thank you, Igor, for the 6.03 version. It solves my problems.
  8. Pleasant, lovely, full of good ideas. Useful to present the family'members ! But where are Mummy(s) and Dad(s) ? Bravo - Jean-Cyprien
  9. Oh, but this is nothing at all , David ! See for exemple, in the Pictures To Exe thread PTE V6 beta #15 A test of 3D functions by JPD (20th Sep) A new planet PTE V6 also by JPD (yesterday, 7th Oct ) 2,300 objects !!! Fabulous !
  10. Thank you, Lin, for your kind message. I’m pleased you’ve found that it was a good work. Just an illustration of the new powerful of PTE Hello Frets3 : the magic of this new version is that we have no more to distort ourself the objects : just to indicate the animation we want (example : turn the object of 360° with Angle Y), and it is PTE which is now working. Easy job to do with PTE (but after re-drawing the six faces of the walls, …) Have a good day – Jean-Cyprien
  11. It's now on Beechbrook.com (thank you, Beechbrook for your kindness) under the title Sydney Convict Monument Jean-Cyprien
  12. Bonjour CorVdK Sorry,I'll give you an other link Thank you Jean-Cyprien
  13. You’ll find there a small example of what is now possible to do with PTE v6 and only 3 pictures : on Beechbrook.com (thank you, Beechbrook for your kindness) under the title Sydney Convict Monument (edit Oct 7th) The song was written by Maurice Druon, and set to music in 1942 by Leo Poll from a traditional Russian melody. Adapted here by Les Compagnons de la Chanson in 1950. THE GALLEY SLAVE’ SONG I remember that my mother loved me And I'm in the galleys, I remember my mother telling me, But I did not believe my mother. Do not linger in streams, Do not fight like a wild, Do not amuse you like birds, She told me to be wise. I have not killed, I have not stolen, I wanted a chance, I have not killed, I have not stolen, I wanted that every day is Sunday I remember my mother crying, Do not go for girls, Do not always do what you please, In prisons there are grids. One day the soldiers of the King ’ll take you away to the galleys. Thou shall go in threes, As they took away your father. You'll have your head shaved, There you will be put in chains. You’ll have your back broken, And it will kill me. Always you will have to row, When you get to the galleys, Always you will have to row, You will think perhaps your mother. I have not killed, I have not stolen, But I have not believed my mother. And I remember she loved me While I am rowing in the galleys. (please accept my apologies for the bad translation)
  14. Wonderful, Jean-Pierre, (as usual !) Not only a great technique, but nice pictures too. And the flag ! Congratulations. In fact, this "demo" is a pure marvel ! Just in time, too ! We're waiting for your next feat. And a lot of thanks to Igor and him team, for this new, really revolutionary PTE Jean-Cyprien
  15. Very good job, Igor ! My dodecaedron looks now as a decaedron ! and my nephews and nieces danse correctly. My sorcerer's apprentice is very happy !! Thanks a lot.
  16. Thank you for all you've done, and that you're doing !
  17. Sorry, Igor, it still doesn't work for me Even with a "right" icon
  18. Hi Lin, Thank you for your comments. I've created this icon 3 months ago (just for the fun) and don't remember now how I've done it. Sorry. (I haven't made an other one !) I'm able to open it with IrfanView, with XnView (and you're right, there are 32 bits per pixel, not 8), with Nero PhotoSnap Viewer, and with Photoshop. With Photoshop, you have to add an ICO.8bi file (easily found with Internet) in Program Files / Photoshop / External modules/ File Format. More, I think it's then possible to create a .ico file with Photoshop. I have no problem with this icon, even with the 573 version. Just with the last 574. Best regards, Jean-Cyprien
  19. Please note that the address of the access violation is different of Gérard's. Mine is 770E48A4 If it is of any interest and/or importance ?
  20. Hi Igor, Thank you for all you're doing. The version of Windows is a Windows XP - Familial Version - 2002 Version - Service Pack 3 Have a good day. Jean-Cyprien
  21. Hi Peter ! Really, I'm not sure my icon file has 16M colours ! (I think the software used to make it, didn't give me a lot of choices, and I think it was 256 !). What I'm sure, is that I've used it with PTE 5.6 without problem (and can still use it). ( I'm not the only one having such trouble, but every body doesn't speak English as well as you're speaking French, Peter ! ) If you look at the icon, and blinking a little, you could see a dodecahedron, right ? !!!! Good Evening Regards Jean-Cyprien
  22. Hello Igor, For example, if I use the attached icon, and want to create an .exe file (with the PTE button), I get the message "Access violation...." and PTE stops to run I'm working with Windows XP Thanks ! Sans_titre_2.ico
  23. Beautiful slideshow, Candeau, splendid ! Great idea those pictures in the night : nice 3D effect, and quite a special atmosphere. Wonderful characters, with their lovely dresses. And the pictures taken the following morning are splendid too. Perfect technique. Congratulations. Quite a model, and aim to be reached. I hope you’re a pioneer, and the next generation of TV, and PC, will be able to show us 3D pictures in full colours
  24. I’m very pleased, Gérard, you’ve enjoyed this, this … oh, is it really a slideshow ? Not a lot of slides inside. Next time perhaps ! Thank you so much for your very kind comment, Gérard. The construction and the rotation of the dodecahedron were my exercises (and the rotating globe – much easier to be done). It is necessary to make calculations for this. All the rest can be easily made, without the least calculation and specially the ballet (thumbnails of my great nephews and nieces). Just impressive, although rather simple to make. A pinch of magic powder, to try to dazzle you !!! Thank you TheDom for you congratulations. Thanks a lot, Ralph, for your kind comment about my exercises, and your opinion about the French users of PTE. But all this is the result of the fine work of Igor, and his PTE ! It’s he who is to be thanked. Thank Igor !
  25. Many many thanks Peter for your kind comment, for a work which is so far from what you do. But I think each way to do a sequence could be enjoyable, and I yet said to you how lovely were those sequences you’ve showed to us at Ponthierry. Thanks again for your coming, delighted to meet you there. Thanks a lot, Canteau, you’re very kind with me. But you’re still a challenge for me, specially with you 3D sequences. Note I’ve kept with me a lot of my master sorcerer ‘s powder to fly quicker… I’m pleased, Admiral, you’ve find it amazing. Thank you. LumenLux. Yes, PTE has a great power, and it’s very enjoyable to look at the result (and to work with). But imagine if it was possible to obtain trapeziums and not only lozenges ??? A lot, a lot of thanks, Jean-Pierre, for your kind words. Yes, I was sure before the Ponthierry meeting you’ll appreciate the work, and enjoy the show. But you were the first one (with the cubes) and still are the top with what you share ! Thank Guru, but I’ve still a lot of things to learn about PTE.
