  1. Ahh, thanks Dave, I was coming to that conclusion. I must have been confused by this line in the email when I bought it in 2010 "This license key will work with all future versions of PicturesToExe (otherwise, we'll provide you with the new one - free of charge, of course). "
  2. I'm another person confused about the registration process. I have the license key file PteKey.txt from the orginal email when I bought PTE. I've just downloaded v8. What am I supposed to paste into the "Load a Key" window? I've tried the contents of PteKey.txt I've also tried KeyCopy from Beechbrook which reports the license keys for PTE & video builder OK but putting them in the windows registry didn't help. THanks
  3. Thanks for re-posting Lin. I was replying to the same thread as you at the same time - maybe that threw the forum software. The method you describe will save me time, so thanks for that. I hadn't spotted that "change image file" button. For what its worth, and without opening up a discussion that you've already had at length, I quite often see on BBC TV programs the repeated use of a gentle zoom or pan on several still images one after the other, and it has its place in my view. I'd like to see WnSoft respond to a wide variety of customer views. Thanks again for the help.
  4. I'd love to see pre-defined sets of keypoints & effects being inserted to multiple slides!
  5. That's just what I wanted to know! Many thanks. I see this topic has been mentioned before in the other thread you linked to. Laurence
  6. Thanks for looking into this Tom, thats great. I need to put a version of a slideshow on the web - probably on my own website, or at least somewhere under my control It looks like the youtube/facebook method in videobuilder would be best to minimize the file size. I just need to make videobuilder save it to my computer while NOT putting it on youtube, so I can FTP it to where I want it. Cheers Laurence
  7. I get it now. The image displayed in any slide can be changed using the PICTURE box. So I can set up any animation in one slide, then to repeat the animation I copy & paste that slide as many times as I need, and then go in to each new one and change the image file in the PICTURE box. Right? THanks Dave
  8. No, sorry Dave I was replying to yachtsman - at the same time as you were replying. I've just edited that post to make it clear, & now I'm trying your method now. Cheers Laurence
  9. Nice idea yachtsman1, but I just tried it to check & it doesn't work. If I select more than one slide, then click on "objects & animation", the selection reverts back to just one slide & the animation screen doesn't appear. Hang on I'll try Dave's solution... Laurence
  10. I'm a bit of a newbie, so apologies for the question. I like to have a simple, slow zoom on many slides. Having setup the animation on one slide, can I somehow easily repeat it on other slides? At the moment I go to each slide and repeat the steps... Thanks
  11. Ray, I've starting making short "films" with music & recorded voices, and it takes me too long sat infront of the computer! So any insights on time-saving would be great. Plus artistic/inspiration/practical topics would all be gratefully received. Best wishes Laurence
  12. I'm about to upload a slideshow to the web for the first time (using deluxe v6.5), and I'm looking for tips for a 3min slideshow with music+voice. In videobuilder, there are various options: create a high quality (H.264) MP4 for PC & Mac, upload to youtube/facebook etc For a given resolution & frame rate, are there any differences in the "youtube/facebook" mp4s compared to the "high quality MP4s for PC & Mac"? (eg. is there extra compression going on?) It comes down to getting the best quality & largest screen size while retaining a short download time for the viewer Thanks Laurence
