  2. Hi, Alex ! Congrats for your styles. Just a "little" problem, all my pictures are truncated, even if I use 1920 x 1080 pictures. Where can I adjust their "Position & Scales" ? Thx for your help. Jean-Pierre

  4. In the Missing Files box, click on "Find Selected File". Choose a section of your computer to Search. Copy the highlighted "File Name" to the "Search" box and you can search for the missing file. Once found you can either restore the file to where it should be or accept the new location by clicking Open. DG
  5. No need to uninstall, all versions work side by side. So you can still use V10 while also using V11. The improvements in V11 are well worth upgrading to, have fun using them. Jill
  6. I am about to upgrade to PTE v11. Version 10 is currently installed on my laptop. Should I uninstall version 10 before upgrading or should I just do the install of the new version? Thanks
  7. How did you guys get this to download? I've turned off my anti-virus software but still get the download blocked. Any words of advice?
  8. Yes thank you Dave. Have downloaded now just got to look at it - LOL. Do you have a style that gives you more hours in the day?
  9. Interesting video, and thanks for all the great information Gary! Glad to see you guys are still traveling!
  10. Yes I have the S23 Ultra and will upgrade before a trip to Europe next year. Check out my FB page to see some examples of stills and videos created on the mobile. It is my go to phone bit no good for blurred motion, decisive moment or IR that I shoot a lot of.
  11. Greetings Mark, I have not used the Insta360 app for the phone. I hear it has more 'features'. I've only dabbled with the desktop version, so far, which seems to work well. Having used keyframes with PTE, it makes it easy to do the re-framing quickly. You said the magic word...weight. This last trip made me rethink my photographic tools. I've always used and loved my DSLR (Nikon 7100). This trip, I used a BlackRapid shoulder strap to carry it that worked well, but the weight also irritated my back pain. So I am thinking of just going with a cell phone for photography. I like the Samsung S24 Ultra. I also brought my GoPro and the Insta360, and 2 other 'pocket' cameras. But I was running out of pockets. When you add all the extra batteries, cables, etc., for all these cameras, it gets crazy. I'd keep my GoPro (good video and stabilization) and the Insta360 (fun) since they are lightweight. I've seen a grip that you can put on a cell phone so it at least feels more like holding a real camera. Not sure what I will do but something has to give... Gary
  12. Thanks Gary, that has been the criticism of the Insta files in various 360degree forums (propietary software editing). The Theta uses DNG and JPEG for stills and MP4 for video so universal editing tools apply. Storage with any video is a problem (even mobile). The good thing is that storage is cheap these days. The other option is the cloud which removes the loss of files due to hardware or theft. My normal equirectangular 360's images from the drone and the Theta can generate video using a screen recorder but quality is not great. The big issue will be weight and what photographic toys to take with me when travelling. Thanks again. Mark
  13. Greetings Mark, I wish I had taken more video with the Insta360 on our trip. I had not used it before so I was hesitant using it since I also had my DSLR and a GoPro. And I didn't have time to practice with it before the trip. The biggest surprise was that each Insta360 clip you take produces 6 files. And I found out you can't rename its long filenames because they will not work if you do. So, to keep things as simple as I could, I put the Insta360 files for the two clips used in this show in its own folder. For a heads up, here is what the folder looked like for this video, which uses just two short Insta360 video clips. So...the first Insta360 clip created the 6 files circled in red. The second Insta360 clip created the 6 files circled in blue. The 2 exported mp4 clips from the Insta360 are circled in green, as 4k, 50 bit rate. Both of these 2 exported mp4 clips were put in my PTE AV Studio program to add the text and music. These clips were 'published' in PTE, at 60 fps 1920x1080, and it is circled in brown, as the final video. So the final video gets reduced to about 95 Mbs. Yes, easy (sort of) to film, but the re-framing (panning), etc., takes a bit of time deciding which of the 360 angle you really want to use. And you are going to need a good bit of storage space if you use it a lot. But it is nice that PTE can use them without any problems. Gary
  14. Works well. Quite effective. I wondered about this myself as I have the Theta Z1 and was thinking of ungrading to the X3. Thanks for sharing. Mark
  15. Greetings, I had a bit of concern how would the video clips from my new Insta360 X3 camera would work with PTE. I just gave it a test run with a couple clips from a recent trip. The re-framing (panning) was done in the Insta360 desktop app. The 2 exported MP4s were put in PTE where the text and music was added. Came out pretty good, I think. Gary

  17. Which software are you using to play the MP4?

  19. Round 7 of the 2023 V8 Superboat at Round Mountain Raceway at Cabarita just up the road (about an hour away). Big day with races taking under 1 minite most times. Over 50 individual races plus warm up and once they start there is not much time between races. This is the final race of the day and I managed to capture this mishap in front of me. Made a selection of images into an AV. Touch and go for a while for the crew so I stopped photography and resumed once it was clear. Cheers Mark
  20. Not an expert by any means but......... So in the project mode when you play it there is sound? Try saving another version and press the play button at the end of the creation and see if there is sound? Cheers Mark
  21. See this. https://christinewiddall.co.uk/tutorials/pan-and-zoom-in-pics-to-exe/ On viewing this tutorial again, I see it is based on a much older version of the software but the principle is OK.
  22. Woo hoo! I had the same problem, I searched for panorama and here is the answer - thanks Dave
  23. I have recently returned from Cumbria and have produced two AVs using PTE AV Studio version 10.5 Pro. The first AV concerns the heritage railway at Ravenglass and the second includes places that we visited when we were there. I have saved both productions as I normally do, a normal PTE exe. file and also an MP4 file. To my knowledge I have made no changes from my usual procedures, the first AV plays perfectly OK, the second AV does not play sound. Can someone point me in the right direction please so that I can hear the soundtrack on my second MP4. Thanks in anticipation. Barrie Glover
  24. Go to Barry Beckham's free styles and themes for PT-AV-Studio page. Styles & Themes – Beckham Digital There are a number of "triptych" styles (and many others) that you can download. Bring the styles into the program and examine them a bit. This is a very easy way to get started in learning how to do more complicated things in PT-AV-Studio. Once you understand how they work, you can modify them to suit your own purposes rather than trying to start from scratch and figuring it all out on your own. There are many other styles and templates posted on this forum, mostly under the Section "Styles and Templates". There are often demos of the styles so you can determine whether they might be useful to you.
  25. Well done on getting this far. It will all get easier Jill
