  1. Hello Bart. Long time no see. Glad to see you around again. Your site is looking quite nice !! You've done a super job. As for the big bucks... it's much easier when there are only two traveling and you go it alone with the car. No buses or travel groups for us!! Glad you both enjoyed my small show. Bill
  2. Ken, Your words are most kind. There was no magic or special software used in the 'leveling' of my photographs. It was just me holding the camera. The only one where I even used a tripod was the shot of Karen and me in front of our self-catering cottage. All the others images were taken using a 'human bipod'... me. Bill
  3. Thank you sir for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed this shortened version of my presentation. We find that England offers such wonder opportunities for photography. Sounds like we need to make a trip to the coast of Oregon as well. Thanks for the tip! Bill
  4. ProShow Gold does make DVD's of most anything. However, in my experience, I caution you that it seems to fade slides dramatically! You will need to completely remake your PTE shows within ProShow before going DVD, but it does work easily enough. Bill
  5. Sorry for the delay. I don't get to the forum too often due to all the 'behind the scenes' work. But at least the author (Oleg) of such a fine tutorial does!! Bill
  6. Sorry there are a few having trouble reaching my site (Beechbrook.Com). The site is quite active and I have not heard or experienced any troubles from others. I have been able to connect via ISDN, Cable modem and T3 with no problem. Regards, Bill
  7. think(box), You are most welcome. Glad to be able to help where I can. Best regards, Bill
  8. alrobin, Thanks for your reply. I'll give it a try. Seems funny that it continues to play the music (and even changes your unchecked options back) even if you save your project and choose Not to Play Background Music. Oh well... Bill
  9. Since returning from England and working on a new presentation I discovered the following: I added several images then added several pieces of music. Next I "Previewed" the show. All worked well. If I select "Project Options"/"Music" and uncheck "Play Background Music", then select "Preview", the music plays anyway and the option is rechecked by the software. If I uncheck "Play Background Music" and resave my project, exit and re-enter the program and "Preview", I get the same results. Music plays and the "Play Background Music" option has been rechecked by the software. Am I behind in reporting this bug? Are there work-arounds to previewing without the music without having to delete all my music selections ? Regards, Bill
  10. Special Announcement Presentation on Beechbrook.Com are now available by category. On the download pages, simply select what type of PTE file you are interested in, click VIEW and the list will be presented. When uploading new material, if not obvious to me, please indicate the category your presentation should be listed under and I will see that the database is updated correctly. Categories can/will be added as necessary. Enjoy! Bill
  11. Thanks to everyone that has responded to my recent notice. I do appreciate all of your comments and your many kind words. Please understand that I am not making a plea for funds. If someone is moved to donate, then I will accept his or her donation with many thanks. I wish to keep my site FREE of recurring charges to the PTE community. If there are donations, they are gratefully accepted and appreciated. Again, thank you to those that have responded. Kind regards, Bill
  12. Please note: Beginning April 1st I will be doing my normal monthly maintenance on Beechbrook.Com. Due to the increased size of many presentations (and very limited donations) it will be necessary for me to begin reducing the hosting time limit of your presentations from their normal 6 months to 4 months duration. Additionally, I will begin this same 'timeline' with all PTE utilities. Up to this point utilities never expired on my site. Keep in mind that this relates to presentations and utilities hosted on my site. It DOES NOT relate to any presentations/utilities that you host and I only provide a link, database entries and email notifications for. This step is necessary because I am currently hosting several hundred Megs of PTE material. Thank you for your continued understanding and support. Kind regards, Bill
  13. Ken - It's the same with presentations. They come into my site right and left at times and then there is nothing for weeks. I also don't get back to the forum as often as I should sometimes. As always, busy days. Bill
  14. I run PDA slideshows on my Palm m515 with very good quality. Of course you can't run pte shows of any kind and I never intend to. It is nice to be able to take some pictures with you to show others while on the road. I keep mine on my 32Meg secure card. Bill

    DVD

Might want to take a look at ProShowGold ( photodex.com ). It will make VCDs which is probably what you are looking for. Bill
  16. Thanks Guru. It's been quite a day, but happly it's fix now. Still not a word from the server folks as to the root cause. Bill
  17. We are back online again after a 19 hour 39 minute outage. Thanks for everyone's patience. Regards, Bill
  18. Downloaded "PicturetoTV" which is quite nice. Reminds me some of our favorite "PicturestoExe". It allows for picture transitions, multi-music, and photo manipulations. Thanks Ernst for the DVD forum link. That's where I found PicturetoTV !! Bill
  19. Simply upload your presentation again and it will overwrite the previous version. Don't send a new image file unless it needs to change also. One more note. As of a few moments ago, all uploads must be ZIPPED. My system will not take files in any other format. No need to rename your presentation anymore. Simply zip them and send them. Bill
  20. Thanks everyone. With the 6 month removals and those that replied via the forum, we're looking good! Bill
  21. I will be doing some PTE database work over the next few days to prepare my system for next year. I would like to remove any presentations that the author no longer wishes to be hosted on my system. This will allow more space for new presentation in the new year. As in the past, some presentation will be removed because they have been hosted for over 6 months. Unless otherwise requested, I will try and retain all the 'utility' type presentations. Regards, Bill
