  1. A very Merry Christmas and best wishes for a peaceful holiday season to Igor and the entire (and quite outstanding) staff of Wnsoft. You've provided all of us with a spectacular application and continue to refine it weekly. Thank you for another great year with a superior product !! Warm regards, Bill
  2. Hans, Welcome back! So good to hear from you again. I've been enjoying the spectacular photography on your site !! Congrats to you and Ina on your keen eyes. Regards, Bill
  3. Very sorry for your troubles. Please let me know how I can help. I will be happy to do whatever I can. If you need storage, please consider beechbrook.com as one of your available sources. Regards, Bill
  4. How about I give it a go? My site has been down since 12:34pm EST today. I've been in contact with the server folks, but they have yet to resolve the issues. This is the forth time my site has been down in the past two weeks. I'll be shopping for more reliable hosting companies soon. Sorry for the inconvenience, Bill
  5. FYI to all... (one more time for the record) Files on Beechbrook.Com are available for 30 days, unless the author provides a link to their presentation which is hosted on a different server. In this case the file may remain on Beechbrook.Com indefinitely. This 30 day period starts from the date the file was actually uploaded to my site (date of submission) not the date someone leaves a comment about a particular presentation on this forum. That could vary with each presentation. The dates have nothing to do with each other. Hope this helps. Regards, Bill
  6. Jim and his wife have provided us with yet another wonderful presentation from their travels in Florida. It has already been download well over 100 times. Obviously with those numbers it is well worth a look ! Thanks Jim for your photographic skills and for sharing with us once again. Great narration, marvelous photography. OK Forum... go have a look yourself !!! Bill
  7. Normandie 2004 was removed from beechbrook.com because of the 30 day rule. I would suggest anyone wishing a copy of the presentation contact Ken Cox here on the forum. Ken seems to maintain quite an archive of PTE presentations.Kind regards, Bill
  8. You're welcome Judy. Do stop by often as there is always something new being uploaded.Regards, Bill
  9. Judy, As Ken mentioned Beechbrook.Com is up and working well. My server migration was completed about three weeks ago. Sorry you are experiencing problems connecting.Kind regards, Bill
  10. TonyFalla and all... once again please understand that you are not downloading Ely directly from my site - beechbrook.com. I merely link you directly to the Morturn site. Ely is not hosted on Beechbrook.Com. The file resides on the Morturn's site. If you log into the PTE Download Pages of beechbrook.com and click on the Ely image, it takes you directly to http://www.morturn.com/Slideshows/Ely/Ely.zip. There is no difference when connecting to beechbrook.com or directly to morturn.com. Both sites link you directly to http://www.morturn.com/Slideshows/Ely/Ely.zip.Hope this helps. Bill
  11. DaveG,I have never had a problem with Ely. I just downloaded it once again and it runs perfectly. No problems at all. This presentation is linked to Beechbrook.Com. I do not host the program itself. I only provide a link to the authors site where the file is hosted. When you begin to download the file, look at your popup screen. It will tell you where the file is actually being download from. You will see that it says www.morturn.com, not www.beechbrook.com. Hope this is helpful, Bill
  12. Ken, That was my first impression also - a nine minute show. However after viewing it a few times I finally realized what the author intended. Several images taken over a nine minute period. All total it produced a very quick presentation. Glad you didn't have difficulty downloading it. From your previous post I thought perhaps you had. Bill
  13. Ken, The Sequel to my 2004 Alaska show runs fine for me. It is a very short presentation. Only a very few images. What type of error are you receiving?Bill
  14. The PTE download pages and the PTE Upload Utility on Beechborook.com are functioning again. I've done some testing, and on occasion, received a error message on the upload link probably due to server folks still tweaking away. Give it a try as you have the opportunity !On another matter. The new server rules state that no one may send newsletter/maillist type messages at a rate greater than 200 per hour. I have 451 members on my mailing list and it would get out of hand to try and manage sending notices in groups of 200 per hour and be able to maintain any type of continuity while even newer presentations were uploaded. Therefore I have removed the "Automatic PTE Notification" link which was on the download pages. Until some other method is put into place I would suggest that anyone uploading presentations to Beechbrook.Com use the PTE forum to notify others of their new presentation. As always, thank you for your continued support ! Bill Thanks Lumenluk and Ken. As always I appreciate your continued support and the talents you both share with the group !Bill
  15. We're making some progress. The PTE download pages have now been restored and look correct. However no files can be downloaded at present as further code modification are made. We're narrowing in on the entire process and hope to be completed soon. Regards, Bill
  16. As expected with any type of server modification or move, the server folks have been unable to get my database to work since my migration to the new platform. I've been on the phone multiply times trying to resolve the issue. I've received numerous emails asking why (some demanding to know why) the site is down. It's not down, only the PTE portion of the site is currently unavailable. I appreciate your continued patience. Regards, Bill
  17. Portions of Beechbrook.Com are currently unavailable as the site is transitioned to a new Windows 2003 platform. Your patience is appreciated. Stay tuned for further updates as they becomes available. As of this notice we have doubled in available server space to better serve your needs. Regards, Bill
  18. As Ken has stated, Beechbrook.Com is not down. I temporarily closed the upload utility until more space becomes available. Presentation sizes have grown over the years requiring more and more server space. Due to the increased file sized a time limit was put into place in order to better handle the load. Obviously linked presentations do not use server space (and are not goverened by the time limit restriction) and therefore continue to show up on Beechbrook.Com even though the upload link is closed. I will reopen the link as soon as possible.Regards, Bill
  19. John, As owner of Beechbrook.Com when all else fails you can always ask me for assistance. As I only host presentations, my PTE Upload Guidelines are intended for that purpose only. They are not intended to assist with the use of compression software such as Winzip, etc. nor are they intended to give instructions on the use of PicturesToExe itself. Uploading large files takes time on any system, not just Beechbrook.Com. To recall an earlier comment, it depends on the bandwidth of your own ISP and the upload speed your service provides. The requirement on Beechbrook.Com of uploading only zipped files is a standard policy for many web sites. It's a server policy, and not necessarily anything to do with any particular operating system. In its simpliest form this policy prevents visitors from running an executable file on my server and therefore spreading a potential virus, etc. on the system. As with all the other wonderful creations on Beechbrook.Com, I will be honored to host your presentation. If you need further assistance with uploading or understanding my PTE Guidelines please email me directly at pte@beechbrook.com. If you still experience difficulties with uploading I have another 'unpublished' upload link which should help. I'm here to assist you, just ask. Bill
  20. Ron, It wasn't the old format, but rather a new one. Perhaps the new format is what is being blocked. I've sent you another email tonight to be certain you are receiving normal emails from me. We'll take it step by step until we discover what's going on.
  21. Ron, Check your email for my reply Bill

John,Perhaps you caught the page just as it was being updated. Today I received several new submissions. As soon as I updated the system with the new images, another submission was received. To prevent this from happening in the future I've created a 'Temporarily Offline' type page during the transition process. Hope this helps. Sorry for any inconvenience. All pages are available here - World Peace AV Submissions Regards, Bill

I am delighted that Maureen has agreed to provide some direction with the World Peace AV project. I had asked her several weeks ago to consider the offer. Again, I'm delighted that she has said yes. Maureen will do a wonderful job in managing the production of this project. However, it is up to the forum membership to provide material with which to work with. The upload site remains open to everyone - World Peace AV Project Submission Link. I hope you will take the opportunity to submit images to this worthwhile project. A link is provided at the bottom of the submission page which will allow you to review what has already been submitted to the project. Regards, Bill

Folks.... I do not understand why some cannot see their submissions. I have added each image moments after it was sent. There are only 29 images total on the site at this time. This includes all images, even those that were resubmitted. Be sure you are clicking on the NEXT PAGE link at the top of the window. This will show all images on the site. Many folks have been 'testing' the upload link but have left nothing. I am notified each time a submission is sent, as well as each time someone just 'test' the system. I wish those that like to 'test' what happens when they click the UPLOAD button would come back and leave some of their images. We'd be much further along !! Regards, Bill

DaveG, We have discussed having a timeline for the closure of entries to help stimulate further interest. At present there have only been some 25 images submitted for the project. I will keep the site open until a deadline has been agreed upon. Regards, Bill
