  1. I didn't have a copy of Lin's jigsaw show. However I downloaded his "kachinazoom" test which ran perfectly on my Eee 900. That's with the PC running off battery only and the wireless up and running as well. Pretty cool PC. I'll have to do a larger monitor test next. Stay tuned. Bill
  2. I've had great success running PTE shows on my 16 gig Eee PC 900 (Windows XP). I have 1 gig RAM and an additional 16 gig SDHC card for further disk storage. I have yet to hook up an external monitor though. Will try and give feedback later. Wonderful machine ! Regards, Bill
  3. Igor, I purchased the same PC this past week. Mine is the 16gig (SSD) Eee PC 900 with Windows XP (SP3). I also have a 16gig SDHC card in the SD slot for additional storage. Although my battery is the 4400mAh like yours, I do not have the same problem. I completely draining my battery (per the manual) at least twice then recharged it fully. It now remains good for well over 2 1/2 hours and does not appear to drain when the power is turned off. I have noticed that when it goes to sleep, the wireless is turn off to save power. This is per engineering design. Since mine was purchased in the US, I do not know if Asus will replace US batteries that are 4400mAh like they are going to do in the UK and elsewhere. However, I certainly hope they do so I can get a battery that will last even longer. I love the PC ! It is perfect for travel !! Have you tried the great utility BatStats that was mentioned on the Eee forum? It provides a VERY GOOD indication of the battery's status. It works very well. 4. Tony, Like many others I have used popular music along with my own personal photographs in various presentations. I consider all my presentations, as well as those hosted on my site, to be strictly light entertainment for the general public, without the desire or request for monetary reward or compensation. Obviously these are my personal opinions and comments. I welcome other comments. Regards, Bill
  5. Tom, As always, you are more than welcome to upload your PTE work to my site - www.beechbrook.com/upload. Bill
  6. The PTE Upload Utility on Beechbrook.Com has reopened following our return from England and Wales. Regards, Bill
  7. The PTE Upload Utility will be closed as of 11pm on 5 May while we are on holiday in England and Wales. I will reopen the utility at the end of May. Regards, Bill
  8. Ray, Your links no longer appear to be valid. ?? Regards, Bill

  10. Andrew, You can upload it to Beechbrook.Com if you don't have the space on your site and I'll host it for 30 days. Regards, Bill
  11. Excellant work and presentation Peter. Thanks for sharing ! We will be in Exeter again this May. Passing through on our way to Cornwall. Regards, Bill
  12. Barry, They've rented a 1 year old flat in the Canary Wharf area. This will be a very good move for them and we're quite proud. It will not only increase their international exposure/experience, which boast well on their resumes, but will also add quite a few quid in their pockets! Since entering the business world many years ago, they've continued to move up the ladder nicely. As a side bonus, Karen and I will have a nice stopping off place with family before traveling on to Cornwall for our much loved holidays. Bill
  13. How interesting our lives are. Our youngest daughter and her husband just obtained their work visa for their move to London in March. They just returned from London this past Sunday night after renting their flat and working on other details. And yes, the visa work took several months! Included in these requirements was the necessity of each party sending their college diploma (not framed) to the UK for personal inspection. Following that, the items were returned. So, many dollars and months later, they're on their way next month!
  14. Dave, Superb captures throughout. You've certainly got the touch. Congrats ! Bill
  15. Greetings Allen and welcome to the forum. This is a great place to share and to learn. Thank you for taking the time to view my short presentation on Ireland. You live in a very beautiful part of the world, and my wife and I certainly enjoyed our three weeks there. We met some wonderful people, ate some great food and thoroughly enjoyed the traditional Irish music, both in the pubs and in church. I'm sorry that you consider your traditional music as "diddle-e-dee". That was one of the true highlights of Ireland to us. We went for the culture and we certainly found it. In the food, in the people and in your music. Best regards, Bill
  16. To Igor and the entire Wnsoft team, all the best in 2008!! With PTE, you have produced a wonderful application in which to display our photographs and music in a very professional manor. With each new enhancement, even more exciting options are included. Thank you for producing such a superb application coupled with the desire to constantly add new features based on our requests. Thank you for your continued efforts and may you experience joy and peace in the new year. In 2008, Beechbrook.Com will celebrates it's 10 year of providing hosting for photographic presentations. PTE has been a part of this process for some 7 years now. Thank you Igor, the entire WnSoft team and PTE forum members !! With kind regards, Bill
  17. Nathan, Have had no issues with download any files from Beechbrook.Com. Can only imagine that you are not receiving the entire zip file due to network issues. I just download "White Sands" 78+ megs with no troubles at all. And yes, I'm download the shows just like anyone else would across the Internet. Note: The Rome presentation is not hosted directly by Beechbrook.Com. It is linked from Dave's website. Wintertime is not on Beechbrook.Com at all. However, the Vietnam/Cambodia presentation is on my server. During the download process watch the download window to see where the file is actually being downloaded from to help isolate any problems. Hope this is somewhat helpful. Kind regards, Bill
  18. Maureen, Have a wonderful holiday season yourself, and thanks for all you've shared with us this year ! Karen and I are looking forward to visiting with you and your family in England - May 08. Have a blessed Christmans season. Bill
  19. Dave, Great work once again Dave. Your hand is certainly more steady than mine on those handheld shots! Very nice inside work with rich colors. Thanks for sharing. All the best in 2008. Bill
  20. Hello Dave, (daveharris), Sorry for your troubles. Are you referring to the link on my download pages that takes you to the WnSoft forum? If so, I use this link countless times a week to go to the forum with no issues. As a test, I just logged into my site, clicked on the PTE Forum link (from one of my download pages) and downloaded PTE 5.1. Next I scanned it with McAfee Security Center. No virus was detected. Best of luck in resolving your trouble. Let me know if I can assist you in any way. Regards, Bill
  21. Ken, Sorry about your recent accident. Certainly hope you mend quickly and can rest comfortably during your down time. Hurry back - we need you here on the forum! Rest up, eat plenty of fruitcake and drink eggnog. You'll be feeling better in no time ! Warm regards, Bill
  22. Dave, Glad you enjoyed my view on Ireland, as I also enjoyed yours. Yes, I noted the Cliffs of Mohr shot in your show as well. We probably stood very near the same spot the way our images look, just two years apart! Tour bus or not you did a fine job of capturing what must have been a great time across the pond. Karen and I did indeed have a car for our three week holiday. For us, it's the only way to go. Thanks again for sharing your particular angle on Ireland. It was very enjoyable. And thanks also for your kind comments on our show as well. Regards, Bill
  23. Once again thank you to all that have watched my Ireland 2007 presentation. Our holiday there this past May was truly magical. Everyone we met was so kind, the weather was simply superb and the scenery was just spectacular. With so many great presentations being uploaded to Beechbrook.Com, the quality of photography and mastery of PTE amazes me. I have so much to learn. Thanks for all your kind comments about my show. They are appreciated !! On a sad note, my mother-in-law passed away and a memorial service was held this past Sunday afternoon. She was a beautiful woman, wonderful mother and mother-in-law. She is now at peace and that is truly wonderful. Regards, Bill
  24. Thank you to everyone who has viewed, and also to those that have made comments about, my Ireland 2007 presentation. All of them are very much appreciated ! You're a great group and I appreciate your time and kind words! I'm quite delayed in responded to each of you because we are in a bit of a crisis here at home. My wife's mother has become gravely ill following a successful run with chemo and total remission of her previous cancer. It appears that after only a month or so it has come back with a vengeance, and in a different area of her body. All of us would appreciate your prayers. Kind regards, Bill
  25. Not to take away from Barry Beckham's excellent presentation on Ireland, here we offer selected images from among 5000+ taken during our own 2007 holiday in Ireland. The area in Northern Ireland featured is the Antrim Coast. Run time about 10.5 minutes. Now available on www.beechbrook.com. Regards, Bill
