  1. Ah, sorry! Sport is not my forte. These things just go over my head. DG
  2. I'm not quite sure how to take that Peter? DG
  3. Your next challenge, should you choose to accept it, is attached below. Single slide - repeat until escape is pressed. 1920x1080 / 500Kb. DG Football.zip
  4. JPEGs for use in PTE projects MUST be sRGB to maintain the colours you see in PS regardless of your monitor calibration. When saving a JPEG I created an action and use F4 to "Flatten the image, change the mode to 8 Bit and convert the colour profile (from ProPhoto RGB) to sRGB". Alternatively, when using "Save for the Web" all of this is done automatically for you and in a "two up" configuration you can see how the image will look. DG
  5. A couple of ways: Create a TEMPLATE from the original PTE Project in a folder designated by you in "Manage Folders". Overwrite the newly created JPEGs in the TEMPLATE folder with the upsized images making sure that the 1400x1050 images have exactly the same file name as the corresponding original 1200x750 versions. Create a new EXE from the new Template Folder Project. The only other way is to go to O&A Properties Tab and you can change each image file there (one at a time).
  6. I would start with the Philips unit. It is unlikely to be the TV. DG
  7. You are right Stu, I was part of that discussion. I saw this is a different scenario. I do not send images from PTE to my editor - I prefer to start from the NEF RAW each time- the edits are baked in so I don't have to "start again". So I am not editing an existing JPG. I am OVERWRITING an existing JPG with the edited version from NX2. In the original discussion the final comment from BB was: " I would like it fixed if possible. " Any progress? DG
  8. Hi Igor, Sample file sent in PM. If you did not get it please let me know? DG
  9. Thanks Xaver, Is this a "workaround" or is it the "official" answer to my post? DG
  10. Did a MANUAL update of my AVG database and it worked OK this time. DG
  11. Can anyone confirm this "BUG" / Strange Behaviour? If an image used in a PTE Project is edited outside of PTE and saved over the original, the changes are reflected in the Image Panel, O&A View, the Preview and the EXE but the changes are only updated in the Slide Panel when the project is closed and re-opened. I seem to remember that this was mentioned by BB some time ago but I can't remember a solution? DG
  12. Same here. Perhaps Igor should check it out? DG
  13. Hi Igor, I have just tried a .mpg file from a Sony DCR-SR36 HANDYCAM and I'm getting issues which are not there when the same file is played in Real Player etc: Dragging lines in the picture and Sound out of Sync by one second or more. DG
  14. In Project Options / Screen - Untick Fixed Size of Slide - Click OK. In PUBLISH - Click on Create DVD Video Disc (If you have Video Builder?). Drag your Project.pte into the bottom area. Click on Next and create your Title Page. Click on Next and choose your Options - I would advise that you create the ISO file and burn with your DVD Burning software - if this is not possible use Burn DVD disc. If you DO NOT have Video Builder - Click on PUBLISH and then AVI Video file. Choose your options and click on Create AVI. Choose the location to save the AVI and click on SAVE. KEEP PTE OPEN and Go To your DVD Burning Software and burn the AVI that you have just created. You can go to the chosen folder and play the AVI to make sure all is well but ..... ..................DO NOT CLICK ON FINISH UNTIL THE DVD IS BURNT.
  15. Lin, I won't debate whether it is a bug or not but it has always been the case back as far as V4 (I think?). I have always know about this - it might even have been Igor who gave the solution as I described in the linked thread. In certain views moving the vertical bar causes this effect - I won't call it an error. Having a larger (resolution) monitor helps. DG
  16. Peter / Lin, I won't debate whether it is a bug or not but it has always been the case back as far as V4. I have always know about this - it might even have been Igor who gave the solution as described above. In certain views moving the vertical bar causes this effect - I won't call it an error. DG
  17. Make your slide show in the 16:9 format - use any resolution (1920x1080). In Project options, UNTICK the option: FIXED SIZE OF SLIDE. When you make the 768x576 PAL DVD the portion used will be 768x432 and will UPSCALE to fit your TV - expect less quality than on your computer when playing the EXE. If you have a Sony Bravia and it is fairly new you might find that it has a USB socket and a built-in Media Player? If it has you can experiment with making a 1920x1080 H.264 MPEG4 to play from a Memory Key (or HDD - 500Gb MAX). That way you will get true 1920x1080 High Definition PTE shows on your TV - EQUAL to your Computer Monitor when playing the EXE. DG.
  18. Re: The video clip problem. You might send a SHORT clip to Igor describing the problem. It worked for me. He was able to sort out the file format from my compact with video. DG
  19. Sheila, It depends on your monitor res and the way that you have it set up. Try moving the vertical bar between the Image Pane and the Image window to the right and see if that brings it back? DG
  20. I agree about the tripod. I like the idea of being able to incorporate short clips with stills in PTE without the need for intensive study of Video Editing techniques. I have read Igor's comments about HD resolution in some current cameras - and I'm debating what to do about it! DG.
  21. I'm in the same boat, so to speak!! My comment was a crude attempt to find out when and if some of our better workers would incorporate video. I look forward to each of your presentations. DG
  22. Maureen, Will you be trying to incorporate a little video next time? DG
  23. Beta 12: Thanks Igor. I confirm that the Music problem has been fixed. DG
  24. In O&A two things which normally go together when adjusting an object are Adjust Image and Border and Shadow. Yet they are in different sections of O&A i.e. Properties and Common. For instance when adding a portrai format image I always add it to a faded and/or blurred landscape image. The next thing is to adjust shadow and border of the portrait image. To me, it would make more sense if they were together in a sngle "Image, Border and Shadow" control. DG
