This is just one aspect: when you apply your style you can specify the duration of the resulting slide. So if the slide that you are applying it to is 7.326 seconds you specify that and that is what you get. However, this can affect your transition durations so that has to be taken into account. I realise that we all don’t work the same way and have no wish to impose my way of working on anyone. But styles are an important part of pte and they DO work for some but not for all. The sort of style we are talking about here is project specific and temporary. If they can help then use them and if not use something else.

Jill, As I said they all have pitfalls. You can, with careful planning, incorporate your Text requirement into any other Animation Style that you are using. If the Text Box is a one off, any method will do but for repetitive tasks, I will continue with Styles. I don't and never have seen the timing problems which seem to bother you. DG

There are many ways of doing this, most of which have pitfalls from time to time. My chosen method is to incorporate text into a (Temporary) Style. https://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/how_to_v9/comment More Text Tips: https://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/how_to_v9/text DG

Can you point to where you have seen this button before or where you have seen a reference to it? DG

Thanks for the screenshot. You are, as observed, in the Slide View. Click on the Timeline button, bottom right side.

Do you have deluxe or essentials version? The envelope is only available in deluxe. Post a screenshot of your screen?

https://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/main-window_1/audio_files?s[]=waveform It can sometimes disappear if you have resized any of the sections which make up the Timeline Window. DG

AB is the button which allows you to select the Transition Type. DG

The nine that you saw was the Full Slide Duration. After adding the second slide 4 seconds of slide 1 overlaps slide 2 during its Transition Duration. 5+4=9 Read up on Full Slide Duration. https://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/how_to_v9/duration DG

Apply the Border Simple Style. In O&A add a Text Box. Right Click on the "Text" and choose "Text Comment". Create your New Style. When you Apply the Style there will be a Text Box in which you can add your Text before applying the Style. Border Simple with Text.ptestyle DG

I have had a Flickr Free account for a little while and thought that I would give the Pro Account a try if only for a year. It seems like a good place to store Video and I tried my first one today. As of today it is limited to 3 minutes but that is long enough to tell that the quality is good enough. I don't produce anything like 10 minutes of video - ever -so when the new limit comes in I will try that out. It is, as Barry suggests, good value DG

Ron, The link is a download link for a Style which you should be able to APPLY using the instructions above - even on an Intel Mac running whatever PC emulation software you have. It is a STYLE. https://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/slide-styles/import https://docs.picturestoexe.com/en-us/9.0/slide-styles/apply DG
-
Something like this? Jumping out of screen.ptestyle Add four images to the slide list, highlight them all and apply this style. Analyse the Key Frames in O&A for each image. DG
-
Would you want all 50 images to be seen (very small) before they "jump out of the screen"? Or just one at a time?

Flip 3d Style - Instructions in Style: Flip 3D.ptestyle DG

Try 3D Transitions/Flip 3D. Click on the AB button between two slides. That will do it for 2 slides. If you want to do it in the same slide then you need a STYLE. DG

Wideangle, Take a look at some of the Powerpoint Transitions - they make an interesting challenge when trying to do them in PTE. I have converted (and posted) a few. Any presentation package with transitions will have material worth the effort. DG

You could make the outside six images look like a cigar box - I researched it a little bit decided I have other more important things to do. Good luck. DG

Supplementary Style that I worked on for an hour but lost interest - It has all been done before. Rose Cross design box - for storing prints etc. Six Images - any AR/Res. Rose Cross Box 2018.ptestyle DG

Thanks for the wise words Lin. I will bookmark them. Regarding non-square images - that is what my updated Style addressed. Changes in features in PTE Versions have made it easier to achieve better results easier. I should thank Bruno for causing me to look back and reflect on what I had done all those years ago. Also, thanks for your initial comments above. I was, however, a little uneasy with the suggestion that I was accusing anyone of plagiarism. That was not my intention. I made it clear back in 2009 that MY inspiration for this methodology was Dan Brown and no one else. Like you say - it is all good!! DG

Wideangle, Bruno, I logged out and get the same as you, so it must be something to do with the fact that the 2013 post is in an archived section of the forum. Does the second link work?C DG P.S. The second link works and will take you back to a post from 2009.
