  1. You could make the outside six images look like a cigar box - I researched it a little bit decided I have other more important things to do. Good luck. DG
  2. Supplementary Style that I worked on for an hour but lost interest - It has all been done before. Rose Cross design box - for storing prints etc. Six Images - any AR/Res. Rose Cross Box 2018.ptestyle DG
  3. Thanks for the wise words Lin. I will bookmark them. Regarding non-square images - that is what my updated Style addressed. Changes in features in PTE Versions have made it easier to achieve better results easier. I should thank Bruno for causing me to look back and reflect on what I had done all those years ago. Also, thanks for your initial comments above. I was, however, a little uneasy with the suggestion that I was accusing anyone of plagiarism. That was not my intention. I made it clear back in 2009 that MY inspiration for this methodology was Dan Brown and no one else. Like you say - it is all good!! DG
  4. Wideangle, Bruno, I logged out and get the same as you, so it must be something to do with the fact that the 2013 post is in an archived section of the forum. Does the second link work?C DG P.S. The second link works and will take you back to a post from 2009.
  5. .........further research shows that I first published it in 2009. https://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/topic/16082-playing-with-cubes/?tab=comments#comment-106629 DG
  6. No, Bruno, not copied - I just pointed out that the technique is not new. But, if you read my 2013 post, you'll see that mine was made sometime in 2013 having been inspired by Dan Brown's description of the Rose Cross and resulting box in his book "The Da Vinci Code". You did not post It in this forum - did you? If you did I missed it. It looks like we both got there at the same time. Having revisited it I realised that I could improve on it so I have updated and re-posted. P.S. I do not understand why you do not "have permission" to read it. I can access it via the link on all of my devices. A simple search for "Rose Cross" also brings it up.
  7. Updated the Rose Cross Cube Style to 2018 Version 9. Add six images or videos to the Slide List (any AR/Res) and apply the style. Use Animation/Framing to adjust Composition. Slide 6 is the Blurred BG. Rose Cross Cube 2018 Demo.ptestyle Rose Cross Cube 2018.ptestyle

  10. The repetitive tasks aspect should also be emphasised. If you split a 1920x1080 image into 216 or 432 vertical strips you only want to do it once and then save it as a Style so that you never need to do it again. Styles can provide you with the "building blocks" for other similar, more complicated animations. Someone mentioned the similarity to "Actions" in Photoshop and I would agree with this.
  11. J-C, I think that you should substitute "ANIMATION" for Transition (perhaps)? DG
  12. Tried with a couple of Caption Styles and it works OK. Thanks Igor. DG
  13. Apologies, I was not near my computer earlier on. The Experimental Cube (6 Images) is already configured for 1:1 Aspect Crop and you can use any Aspect Ratio images. You can re-compose the image using the Framing Controls in the Animation Tab. Apply some "S" value before adding "X" and "Y" values - the effect is obvious. You can ZOOM the whole Cube by applying Zoom to the "Control Frame". The Slide 1 Image is used as a Blurred Background. DG
  14. There are Cube Styles in the Styles and Templates forum which will work regardless of the sizes of the six images. That is why I asked which style was being used.
  15. Which cube style? There are a few.
  16. Logically, if you want images smaller than Project Resolution to display automatically at "Original Size" then shouldn't ALL images be displayed at Original Size including those bigger than Project Resolution? If your suggestion is for Igor only then I will delete this post, but if it is up for discussion then I think that your suggestion is illogical DG
  17. Hi Tom, You should mention that this style requires 16x9 images and include it in the Style Comments. You could also put your Created Style into a unique Category (Tom 95521 Styles?). I have tried to simplify the Style and came up with this. Essentially, it is the same methodology but looks a little simpler. If the Style used Square images in a Cube then the need for the distorted image would not arise. Inside Out 16x9 DG.ptestyle DG P.S. with a 360 degree panorama you could split it into 4 and view it from inside the 16x9 cube
  18. Dennis, two things come to mind. Make sure that the Frame with the Action is "on top" and there is nothing above it Make sure that transparent to selection is not ticked for the frame DG
  19. More Distraction Therapy. Version 2: Flipping Playing Cards II.ptestyle DEmo: Playing Cards II.zip DG
  20. Ah, now I understand. You cannot apply that Style to multiple slides because it requires multiple entries in the Caption Field. You have to, I think, do it one at a time. I will check it out later. Perhaps you should post this in troubleshooting. It could be that Igor will be able to help?
  21. What is your pc setup? I don't experience this sort of problem with my new pc and nVidia 1050 card. However, because of the recent Windows debacle my laptop is no longer viable. My next laptop, if there is one, will be from the same supplier as my desktop (Chillblast) with a carefully chosen spec. DG
  22. Have you tried converting the sequences to mp4 video instead of using the exe files? Igor recommended a while ago that projects containing video be treated this way. DG

  24. Something to take my mind off other things: Flipping Playing Cards.ptestyle Can be adjusted in many ways: Change the Blank face for another card face Change the Text - up to 14 letters and/or symbols Complete the circle etc
