  1. Hi Ron Maybe like me many don't use templates that might explain the low show rating. Your question suggests your looking for answers from people who use templates not those that don't. So maybe your question has been answered by default. Cheers Andrew
  2. Hi Lin Ran smooth on my Nvidia 6600 GT. Your show reminded me of a place we ended up on a recent photography road trip, from the one spot without moving you could have taken 10 or so different strong compositions almost worth doing a 360 degree panorama then working out all the separate shots later :-) One thing I have been toying with in the back of my mind is photographing a scene with a mosaic of say 25 shots then stitching these together to create an incredibly high resolution seemless image of the scene, you could then start fully zoomed out (or in) then do a HUGE zoom in (or out) without any quality loss as if compared to just taking a single image of the whole scene. It would appear as if you could just keep zooming and zooming - do you think PTE is up for that type of file size? Hmmm I guess maybe a problem for EXE's but it shouldn't worry VIDEO productions... Cheers Andrew
  3. Patrick Downloaded your show and here are my "personal" comments:- PHOTOGRAPHY/GRAPHICS Excellent photography with a couple of absolutely classic images by this I mean if you live your life and and at the end of it say "these are my top 50 images" then I think (without knowing your complete image library) that you could include at least 2 images from this show. I appreciate your comment that this is a postcard show and I know exactly what you mean, I have just come back from a 6 day photo trip and you just have to deal with the conditions that you find at any one place, some times you just have to take a record shot when you ideally would love to stay and wait for a storm or sunrise/sunset to really add some drama to your image. I'm sure there is some name we could make up for this phenomenon :-) Your opening graphics were great and let the viewer know exactly what he/she was looking at however I thought your end titles could have had more presence after all this is your creative work and should rightly be proud of it and emphasize to the viewer who created it. SOUNDTRACK I'm undecided on the sound track I think personally because I know its by Madonna and it has had a lot of airplay I keep that image in my mind. (a bit like a well known actor from a TV series all of a sudden appearing in a Movie, you have a pre concieved expectation of the actor in terms of their character and in this case with this tune I'm thinking pop/dance.) The music is possibly too strong for this subject but I must admit it sat better with me on a second viewing. Nevertheless the music does offer some excellent transition points and you have certainly capitalized on these. TIMING Excellent - transitions flow well with key changes in the music. PTE MASTERY You are much more daring than me when using your transitions I only really think of using fades and cuts probably because this is what we are conditioned to through Movies and TV. However in your show you have used, fades, cuts, mosaics, barn doors and rolls. Your mosaic transitions to the staggered drums in the soundtrack seem to be absolutely perfect in relation to your soundtrack and perfectly timed, however it is a very powerful and energized transition and I am wondering if it suits the subject material of your show. Maybe as mentioned earlier in a perfect world if you had been able to spend months on this trip and capture the same scenes in more dramatic conditions the mosaic transitions would "fit" the images better? Your use of the barn door transition looking down the narrow alleyway was inspiring. I see you have launched your show fading from the desktop and ended rolling up back to the desktop. Personally this is not my favourite way to start and end shows, why? By starting your show with a blank screen (black or white or whatever) you allow the viewer to clear his/her mind and start with an empty canvas likewise if you do the same at the end of the show you allow the viewer to pause and absorb what they have just seen (this is coming from someone who has been known to sit in the movie theatre and watch all the credits and stare at the final blank screen thinking "wow! that was an amazing movie") :-) WATCHABILITY - Couldn't finish / Watched Once / Would watch again / Would watch many times OVERALL COMMENT I enjoyed your show very much and it makes me want to go there. If your goal is to make a Postcard of your visit then you have exceeded admirably. Very clever use of PTE with a strong soundtrack (possibly too strong). Thanks for sharing with us :-) Cheers Andrew
  4. Hi John Glad you appreciated the comments. By the way I have just re read my post and can not believe some of the crazy grammar and spelling I had in there! Apologies for that, it was getting quite late at night. I have now edited my post. Regards adding points I decided not to do the points thing based on feedback in the forum. But thing the sectional comments (only) works well. However if you really wanted to know I would have rated your show as follows:- PHOTOGRAPHY - 5/5 SOUNDTRACK - 5/5 TIMING - 5/5 PTE MASTERY - 4/5 (That show cried out for a pan ) So 19/20 would be your total score - which would suggest it was "bloody good" Cheers Andrew
  5. Hi John Thanks for posting you show and here are my comments:- PHOTOGRAPHY/GRAPHICS You have obviously put a lot of thought into your images for the show and pieced together a very good story sequence showing all aspects of ballooning, from the early morning start to touch down and the back on land celebrations. Not only have you told a story with your images but you have included some stunning photography in the process. Your use of perspective and scale in your images is brilliant and enhanced the unique experience of ballooning from our desktops. For me personally the only criticism I could make about about your photography/graphics would be minor and includes having possibly one too many shots of a small sequence you ran of the balloon shadow amongst some trees and the other small niggle I had was the frames you used around your inset images, I thought they competed and complicated the inset images a little and took me back out to looking at your show from a computer desk as opposed to being right there behind the camera but as I say a VERY minor criticism and a personal one. SOUNDTRACK I go on and on about soundtracks and your show has handled this area better than most I have seen, you have included actual sounds and at times these have been the only sound track which has certainly added realism - the frogs, the burners, the vehicles, wine bottles popping - brilliant, then when appropriate you brought in the music and then played 3 or four different (but totally appropriate) pieces of music throughout the show. TIMING Your soundtrack and sound effects were well synced and added to the realism immensely. PTE MASTERY Good use of PTE features, especially in the opening titles. I was really surprised not to see any shots looking straight down and being panned slowly to give the effect of actually being in the balloon and moving above the ground - I can't think of a more suitable show to employ this effect :-) Another of my pet little things is animations that occur at the start of slides and appear stationery briefly on the screen then begin to move as was the case with your balloon on the title page, that stationery then start effect breaks the "flow" of the presentation. All you need to do is have your balloon starting right off the page then we never see it stationery. WATCHABILITY - Couldn't finish / Watched Once / Would watch again / Would watch many times OVERALL COMMENT I enjoyed your show very much and certainly appreciate the years? of work that has gone into making it. A solid presentation that I personally believe would benefit from a couple of subtle tweaks. Does this mean if I come to OZ I get a free balloon ride??? :-) Cheers Andrew
  6. Hi Lin Thanks for posting this little gem, I sat there quite mesmorized last night watching your snow storm. Our local ski fields here are supposed to be opening in about 16 days, its currently 13 degrees Celcius outside and I can not see a speck of snow on any mountain around me! Maybe we could display your show on a huge LCD up the mountain to make the skiers feel better :-) Cheers Andrew
  7. I'm doing a presentation at a photography conference in October this year and I have been thinking of how I am going to use PTE as a POWERPOINT type program. I see Igor is reintroducing the "[ ] Display slide for ..." option so that shows can be changed from slide to slide using a mouse or wireless pointer etc. What I thought would be useful for these types of presentations is if in the O&A window the user could select the option of either just running the animation as it stands or being able to move to each keypoint within the O&A manually during the presentation. Better still if the user could select which keypoints you could manually move to. This would mean you could be talking to your presentation and bring up points gradually e.g A slide showing key features of PTE with each feature sliding onto the page when I press the mouse button or whatever - just like you can do in powerpoint. The advantage of being able to select which keypoints you wanted to move to allows mini animations to occur between each point. Also not sure if many of you have noticed but Igor has started adding comments in the second topic line of topics on this forum about implementation dates of suggestions. Andrew
  8. Lumenlux I see this show was posted way back on 6th May so I am proud to be able to make the first comments on it. Please note I will be scoring this show but only because I have already applied a scoring to "This Morning #3" and I would like to retain some relativity. Future reviews I make (if any :-) will not have the scoring component. Note: I have based this review generally on USA version of the show but some comments apply to the Austrian version as well. PHOTOGRAPHY/GRAPHICS 4 - Similarly to #3 photograpy on the day was limited to using the light that nature had provided for those three hours HOWEVER I enjoyed the visuals more in this presentation. There were fewer record shots and more high quality landscape images. I think you have pulled in the mountains more with a telephoto lens and the greater amount of snow around compared to #3 has given added drama to the show. I REALLY like the shot of one of your crew on the skyline in silhouette. I see your Shadow/Highlight enhancement example included in the show but don't know if it works in the full context of the show, it may have been better having one or the other included but not both as to me it takes away from the imagery and "drama" (if that's the right word) of the show. You have maintained continuity by showing the hikers going up at the start and down towards the end. SOUNDTRACK 5 - For this show (which in my eyes is more than a record show) the soundtrack is perfect and contains more emotion with evolving themes which add tremendously to the power and imagery of the show. I go on about sound tracks but I think they are just as key to any show as are the images. There is a period in the music where it builds to a crescendo and this where you have placed the images of the Hiker silouette, the triumphant hikers at the peak of their hike and dramatic snow covered mountain shots that really suit that change in the music. I did appreciate the quick transitions during the upbeat section of Austrian version! TIMING / SYNC 4 - Timing generally in this show is good especially during the "crescendo" I mentioned earlier. Getting back to my soundtrack comments the music is such a big part of the show that if the transition points aren't "riding" on the changes in music then you are missing out on that special "flow" in a presentation. I think in particular some of the transitions in the first half of the show could have been tweaked to tie in more strongly with the soundtrack. The other minor thing I felt was that the ending was a bit abrupt given the nature of the show but having said that it also kinda worked :-) PTE MASTERY 4 - I hadn't thought of making 2 shows available with your only additional data being another sound track so was very impressed how you handled that in this presentation's context. There wasn't a lot of panning or zooming in this show but it didn't really need it. There are just two little things I noticed and they both have to do with "flow". I try and avoid having things moving then stopping just before the next slide changes or having something stationery after the last slide change then start to move (unless for special effect), to me it breaks up the flow of the show and destroys the illusion of being "in" the show (a little like seeing a sound boom inshot on a feature movie). The first of these occurences was your opening title, it zoomed up from the bottom then stopped zooming then went vertical for a small amount then stopped then shortly afterwards the next slide came on. I thought this would have flowed better if you had just made one single zoom that actually kept on going untill it had either gotten so big it wasn't on screen or faded. There was some discussion in the forum recently about how you could extend a Keypoint in the O&A window beyond the end blue line into the next slide, I didn't really understand why you would want to do that but I can see now why. In your case as the next slide came on screen you title would still be zooming and fading out over top of it making a very smooth transition from title page to the action! The second instance was you panorama of the mountain, the fade from the previous slide went to the static view of the mountains, then a split second later it started to pan, I feel if you had started panning from the very start of the transition you would have "hit the ground running" so to speak and maintain that all important "flow". WATCHABILITY - Couldn't finish / Watched Once / Would watch again / Would watch many times OVERALL COMMENT 17/20 - I have to be honest and say that I did see your show when you first posted it but didn't bother commenting :-( (along with 85 or so others that viewed it) however now that I have actually taken some time and set about to closely examine it I have seen and appreciated aspects in it which I completely missed on the first viewing. I have also learned something from your show and maybe you have learned something from my comments. I think this show is a great record of your trip but also has a nice feel all on its own. The way you have provided the veiwer with two choices is very clever. One thing I get from your show is that you are very lucky to live where you do and to be able to go on these walks so close to home. Again I would be very interested to know how you feel about this review and if was helpful and constructive. One last thing... as useful as I think these reviews are they are actually quite a bit of work! It's a good/bad thing I'm currently procrastinating about doing my next show otherwise I probably wouldn't have started on this whole Review Process thing :-) Regards Andrew
  9. Hi Lumenlux Enjoyed your "review of the review" and comments made. Yes I too have seen a few of your shows now and would agree that The Morning #3 probably the least representative of your work to date and I'm looking forward to making some comments on The Morning #2 which I'm about to post. One thing I have noticed in making a structured review of a show is that I tend to want to play it again to confirm my opinion about the show, in doing this I'm actually seeing things (generally good things) I missed in the first viewing. I'm going to "score" your show but this will be the last time I do this on the forum and I'm only scoring to give the review relativity to my review of The Morning #3. In future I'll just review with comments under standard headings as the scoring thing appears to be a little controversial at the moment. Maybe us Kiwis are a little too competitive down here :-)
  10. Thank you ALL and in particular Maureen for your comments. OK OK I hear you (I'm starting to be thankful I called this topic what I did :-) the scoring thing I guess is really not what this is all about and was only a quick indication of how someone feels about your work overall, and I think its fair to say if someone posts a topic here and ask for feedback they want to know how people feel about their work and if they can improve it. If scoring is uneasy with people then surely simply having some general areas to comment on can do NO harm?? If only to help the person making the comments remember all the various aspects that need to come together to make up a slide show. My original aim of this excercise was to get people talking more about the things they didn't like in presentations so that those who made the presentations may learn some new skills, that remains my aim the scoring aspect is really a side issue and it would be a shame to get hung up on it. With new skills we can become MORE creative, PTE can produce some very creative shows but there can be a considerable technical understanding required to get there. I guess its one of those issues some see the value and some don't and that's fine. If someone want's me to comment on their work I'll gladly do it knowing that I may actually be helping them and by giving them an honest comprehensive opinion. If I need to list under headings cos I find it easier to cover everything then that's fine too. No doubt this debate has not ended :-) Cheers Andrew P.S. Maureen - That's how I picked my current wife and things turned out really well! Though I did have to overlook the driving category :-)
  11. PHOTOGRAPHY/GRAPHICS (Out of 5) 3 - The purpose of the photography in this show is to record the hike. This means you don't have much choice in the lighting and pretty much have to work with what nature has brewed up for those few hours. In this case nature has brewed up an almost cloudless day with direct sunlight overhead - possibly the most uninspiring light to deal with, next to total flat overcast conditions. As a result the landscapes in this show don't really jump out at you and they almost form a subtle backdrop to the main subjects which are of course the people! The hikers have been captured well in their various states of exhaustion and relaxation and you get a nice feel for the comradship of the day. The key photo of backlit hikers that also features in panels and at the end is nice! And I do like the last sequence. For such a personal show it could easily become a little tedious for the viewer but you have mixed up people shots with cut away's of plants and scenery which balance it well and hold interest. Also the panelling down the side provides additional interest. SOUNDTRACK (Out of 5) 4 - For this show I think the sound works well, its almost sympathetic in its beat to the footsteps of the hikers (we call them trampers in New Zealand :-) I think music is so important to presentations and its the thing I spend the most time sorting out. Once the soundtrack is in place its a lot easier to put the show together. TIMING (Out of 5) 3 - While there is some obvious transitions timed to changes in the music I think there could have been a closer tie in with the soundtrack given it mimicks the plodding of the hikers. We consciously and unconsciously tune into the beat of music and when transitions occur outside that beat I think it generally feel a little out but you don't consciously put your finger on it. PTE MASTERY (Out of 5) 4 - Appropriate for this show I think a good range of PTE techniques were used maybe some titling animations could polish it up a bit if that is what you are wanting to do. Maybe a couple of zoom outs or in good generate soom more interest. WATCHABILITY - Couldn't finish / Watched Once / Would watch again / Would watch many times OVERALL SCORE AND COMMENT (Out of 20) 14/20 - Good "record presentation" with nice feel for the emotions and comradship of those involved in the day, but not strong in a scenic photographic sense. Great choice of music and implementation of effects to create additional interest. P.S. I'm going on a 6day photography road trip in a week and hope to make a show of that from an overview point of view so looking at your show has given me some things to think about - thankyou!! :-) Cheers Andrew
  12. I'm guessing but I think the author took one or two shots of the same scene a few seconds apart, then used a morphing program to generate the scenes inbetween the shots (possibly even a video application) then he was able to extract (possible hundreds) of separate frames each show a change in the movement of the subject. These were then played back in rapid sucession 30ms or thereabouts with no transition effects. But that's just a guess :-) What I would really love to know is how long it took to make this amazing presentation. Cheers Andrew
  13. BARRY Thanks for your comments on this and firstly I must say that I would totally respect an authors wish to not have comments made on his/her show but in posting this I was really only referring to shows that authors have notified us of via this forum AND asked for comments on their work which I imagine they do because they want to know what other people feel about their show and most importantly if they can learn anything from others comments. I also agree with your comments that we are not in a competition but that was never the intention. I am very well aware that there is a wide range of skill levels out there amongst PTE users and I believe for those that are trying to improve their skills this would be an invaluable tool. I too did go through the camera club scene and the competition mentality but I can only ever remember learning from the experience and having the odd grumble at a judge who was completely off the mark! :-) That is the other great thing about this system you are getting the opinion of several people rather than just one and at the end of the day it is only an opinion to be taken with a big or not-so-big grain of salt. The ranking system? this is just a relative overall feeling from a particular person about your show I can only hope and aspire to one day have some one maybe give a total score equal to say the score they give to S.Bidouze's work then I would definitely know I am producing some VERY high quality, artistic, innovative work in that person's eyes. PTE Mastery - Hmmm I guess what I'm trying to say here is how much of PTE's potential has the author used relative to this presentation, simply because he/she may not be aware of the other features available. For example a panorama is shown as a thin strip through the midde of the screen, maybe the person making the comments thought, "that might look better as a full screen scrolling panorama". Once again the pursuit of learning. Maybe you could say "Utilisation of PTE's features" ? I thought "PTE Mastery" was less of a mouthful :-) End of the day this would be a voluntary process which pretty much authors ask for anyway when they say "Comments please" even if no one else adopts this type of approach I am finding it a very comprehensive way to comment on an authors presentation and do so consistantly. One final point I would like to make, and I disagree with you here, I think people generally will want to improve something if they know they can even though they may not admit it. For example yes I can throw some holiday snaps together and run a background soundtrack and think "Neat!" but how much better I would feel if I did the same show and added some animated titles just like on the movies and actually synched up my slide changes to the music so it really flowed with the soundtrack? Unless I asked I may never have know I could have achieved that. LUMENLUX Thanks for your comments too (though not quite as controversial as Barry's!! - Just joking Barry :-) See my comments above about the "PTE Mastery" thing. I think I will box on with it and see how it fits/feels but having read your comments about the relativity of "scoring" PTE Mastery - you have got me thinking. I would be honoured to apply the process to your latest show and hope we can stay friends :-) (joke!) Like wise I would be honoured for you or anybody else for that matter to do do the same to me as at the end of the day I can hardly make comment (good or otherwise) and not expect to receive same :-) Cheers to you both Andrew P.S. I don't know about everyone else but I'm the sort of person that if I go to a cafe and order a cup of coffee and its not very good I won't generally complain or let the cafe owner know. I'm possibly actually doing the cafe owner a disservice by saying nothing. I suspect I may be in the majority and its possibly for the same related reasons that my Grading/Ranking/Scoring/Commenting (call it what you like) suggestion could meet with a little opposition. Speaking of coffee its off to make a Mochaccino if its bad I'll have to pluck up the courage to let myself know :-)
  14. David Ahh that's quite funny cos that's the program I use to!! I can only conclude that great minds think alike :-) Cheers Andrew
  15. PHOTOGRAPHY/GRAPHICS (Out of 5) 5 - Outstanding photography and Graphics. You have really "captured" the people and the moment SOUNDTRACK (Out of 5) 4 - Strong soundtrack matching the energy of the subject with good variation suiting itself to variety of transitions. TIMING (Out of 5) 5 - Superb - Show magically synced (I realise it was a test hence the "rushed" ending) PTE MASTERY (Out of 5) 5 - PTE Mastery is what this show is all about! WATCHABILITY - Couldn't finish / Watched Once / Would watch again / Would watch many times OVERALL SCORE AND COMMENT (Out of 20) 19/20 - Magic!! Cheers Andrew
  16. Hi Neil As per my "Grading" post in the main section you are my first ginea pig in applying a standard format to rate shows, so here goes.... PHOTOGRAPHY/GRAPHICS (Out of 5) 4 - Really liked your opening/closing titles and graphics they certainly fitted well with the era of your show. The very opening sequence with the 3 initial text animation was very eye catching and looked very professional. While technically your photographs were perfect I got the feeling they were all taken on the same day maybe even with an hour of each other, this had the unfortunate result in making the next image look very much like the last and I found my concentration waning. What would have captured my imagination more is the house taken over a longer period of time with different lighting conditions and seasons but I totally understand often we don't have that luxury. SOUNDTRACK (Out of 5) 3 - The music you chose certainly fitted your subject manner well in terms of era but it was a very strong peice and at times very repetitive. The stength of the music in a way worked against the almost sad images of a once great house. I also think the peice of music that you choose didn't have many obvious "transition" points which makes it hard to sync up a show so that it appears to flow with the music. TIMING (Out of 5) 4 - I think you worked hard on your timing with the show and I loved the sound addition with your titles at the very start and fade off at the end - perfectly timed. As mentioned above I think your music could prove hard to find natural transition points to time slide changes to. PTE MASTERY (Out of 5) 4 - Good use of pans and zooms (and vertical pans) at appropriate times and show obviously synchronised WATCHABILITY - Couldn't finish / Watched Once / Would watch again / Would watch many times OVERALL SCORE AND COMMENT (Out of 20) 15/20 Technically solid show with good use of PTE's features, documenting the house well, softer music may suit better with more variation in lighting conditions for photography providing a more emotional result. Phew! That wasn't so hard actually :-) Cheers Andrew
  17. Hello All Its great that we have a seperate section in the forum to announce PTE shows and make comment. I often wonder though how much honest negative feedback is given about a show in comparison to positive feedback? Its easy to praise a show but a little harder to maybe offer some constructive criticism. From the Author's point of view too its not always enjoyable to hear what people don't like about your show but ultimately if you adopt the right attitude you can only gain from the comments. Of course any negative criticism should always be taken with a grain of salt as there is no accounting for personal taste as "Art" and its appreciation is a very subjective thing :-) I see lots of shows and find myself quick to comment on shows I like and slow to (if at all) comment on shows I don't like. So I'm going to shed my shyness and whenever I view a show I'm going to give feedback based around a standard format with the follow headings and scores:- PHOTOGRAPHY/GRAPHICS (Out of 5) SOUNDTRACK (Out of 5) TIMING (Out of 5) PTE MASTERY (Out of 5) WATCHABILITY - Couldn't finish / Watched Once / Would watch again / Would watch many times OVERALL SCORE AND COMMENT (Out of 20) My thinking is if I use a standard format I'm possibly more likely to be honest and mention the good as well as the bad things about the show. At the end of the day I think this can only be a good thing as being an Author of a show its very easy to get so wrapped up in your presentation in a personal sense it can be hard to imagine why anybody wouldn't enjoy it as much as you do :-) My first guinea pig is going to be Neil and his latest show about an overgrown old house - comments will be under his thread. Wish me and Neil Luck :-)
  18. Hi David I must echo all the previous comments but also want to say "good on you" for daring to get in close by zooming in so much, I would have thought the effect of grain/pixels starting to show might deter from a presentation but in your case it really compliments it. Very sharp images too, which sharpening method are you using? Cheers Andrew
  19. Hi Paul I really enjoyed watching your show and it surprised me as I its not the type of subject matter that I thought I would be interested in. I really enjoyed the way you have captured an obviously very enjoyable day, it felt as though you were right in the "thick of it all". That type of photography is not as easy as it looks and photographing people and events as you have is one of the areas I can honestly say I don't enjoy. You obviously have the knack ;-) I think too your show (possibly quite timely) shows that even though its great to have all the pans and zooms of version 5 you can still put together a really enjoyable show that really just consists of solid photography an area that PTE developed its roots from. Your music choice is perfect and music in my mind is just as important as the images to convey the right mood of your presentation. There was a portion of the song about 2/3 the way through where the music got faster for about 4 or 5 slide changes and the last couple of slides were action shots, this gave a really good combination and feel but I thought if throughout the whole faster section you had all action shots it would have been even better. My only other comment concerns your last slide in the show, to me it sort of doesn't "fit" with the rest of the presentation in as much as its the last thing you remember about your show and in that context is out of context (if you know what I mean) I think it would be great somwhere else in the show to show the diversity of characters attending the event but that last image could have been something like maybe a child warn out and asleep from having so much fun during the day or some such similiar. Nevertheless thankyou you for sharing the day and your excellent photography! Regards Andrew
  20. Dom Just checked out your "Carousel" demo on Beechbrook...... VERY impressive. Not only is the Carousel effect very polished but your menu looks almost like you could reach out and touch it! You are very talented Cheers Andrew
  21. Hi Geoff They average out about 6000 x 1500 im original size (though the biggest was around 7800 x 1820) I the resized them so the height was no more than 853 this let me retain a 15:10 PTE Window Ratio (same 35mm Film Ratio) using a 1280 x 1024 Screen Resolution. In terms of megs of data most of them are between 0.5 and 1.0 Megabytes (that's in the cut down state to fit 853 height) Cheers Andrew
  22. I use 1280 x 1024 screen resolution Regards Andrew
  23. Geoff - Thanks for your comments. I have been busting (excuse the pun) to get some panoramas on to PTE as they don't get a lot of showing otherwise. One thing I have found with Panoramas is that you have two problems. 1. Without showing a very skinny narrow image across the centre of the screen its very hard to recreate the "overall" view of the panorama so as a result the viewer only gets a window as the panorama is panned across 2. The second problem is if you have an important element of the panorama close to either end of the Panorama you don't get a lot of time to view it in its entirety especially with a long fade or transition linking the Panoramas. I even toyed with showing the start of some the panoramas as stationary than starting the pan but this broke the flow and timing with the music. Ron - Thanks Ron glad you liked the show. I have a confession to make, I spent a day driving through your beautiful country about 5 years ago but unfortunately I caught up with an old friend the night before and we had a few too many celebratory drinks so I was in not fit state to make even a half decent image the next day. I do plan to go back and do it properly one day :-) (P.S. My wife was doing the driving!) Cheers Andrew
  24. Igor I think its fair to say we ALL understand. Right now you have important work to do to complete Version 5.0. I think the majority of ideas in this post aren't expected to be even commented on until after version 5.0 is out there and you are reviewing enhancements for future versions. Thank YOU for actually taking the time to consider all these requests and implement where possible into PTE. Regards Andrew
  25. Dom I'm with you on this one, personal preference is not to have "Perspective correction for Zoom" set by default. Maybe this can be set at the Global Level in the project options to choose whether or not its the default for O&A. If you don't want it as the default and you have many slides its one extra step to take on every slide to remove it. Andrew
