  1. Gail, As Gayland has said PicturestoExe, has a lifetime registration,Video Builder purchase is good for two years. Since you say you have originally purchased PicturestoExe - Standard Edition some years ago and have lost your Standard keys ... it may still be possible to get copies from Alena Tomilova (WnSoft Technical Support) if you can provide enough history information of your original purchase(s) she may require. Send a private Message (from your user login) to Alena and advise her of your lost key situation. She is very helpfull in resolving key issues. Otherwise, you will need to purchase Standard edition — $49 (Basic edition of PicturesToExe) from WnSoft home site (link at top of this forum page). * Make sure you save your registration keys this time ... on some flash, remote, or CD disc drive for later retrival.
  2. BBorges, When you played back your You Tube creation ... what playback resolution did you select ? See the screenshot attachment. The quality should be the same. I disabled my VB key as a test and both my files appeared the same except for the Trial display. Double check your Create HD for PC and Mac (MP4) output settings. Playback directly on your PC without YouTube conversion. From the PTE User Guide: I have a problem with the playback of HD video file, there is mistiming of audio and video and even visual defects of the picture. What should I do? You should take into consideration that this video format has very high requirements to hardware. Most software players use only CPU to decode and play this video file and sometimes even the newest Intel Core 2 Duo can't play FullHD video file (1920x1080) successfully. There are some players (PowerDVD, WinDVD) which can enable hardware acceleration of video card (the modern video card is required) and in this case video will be played very well even with the low CPU loading. The best result with software player is using free Media Player Classic HomeCinema: http://www.wnsoft.com/soft/other/setup_mpc.exe. It already includes all necessary decoders to play created video files with slideshows. ** Even with these software players ... you are not guaranteed optimal HD video playback. Your playback ultimate quality is going to be by your PC capabilities and your video card capabilities. Make sure your video card drivers are fully up-to-date with the latest playback HD drivers (HD H264 acceleration) that may be available for your model. Your YT.bmp
  3. DG, For special and personal needs to suit your preferences ... its possible to edit the PTE language ini file (English.ini) within the program directory to display text more to your likeing. I dont recommend this file editing for non-experienced PC and PTE users ... but I often edit it to suit my particular needs and preferences. See image attachment.
  4. pammcnutt, The older versions of PTE had the provision to load a key from Video Builder GUI. The newer PTE releases automatically prompt the user with the load a key window when accessing any unregistered Deluxe features. The manual provision to load the key from Video Builder GUI has been removed since its not necessary to duplicate the action. Is your VB key a older type text file or the new text format key type that requires copy and paste method ? What version and build of PTE are you trying to load the key ? * See about loading new text format keys: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12430
  5. BB, You can purchase the pte program and its upgrades from WnSoft homepage. http://www.wnsoft.com Click the Buy Now link and choose the Upgrades For Existing Users Of PicturesToExe * Cost is $34 (plus VAT if applicable) for the 2 year Deluxe features registration. You are still required to always keep and use your older previously purchased PTE Standard Edition key registration since it does not expire. * See about loading new text format keys: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12430
  6. pammcnutt, Check from the PTE menu bar Help|About PicturesToExe ... what does the window display about your Standard Features and also your Deluxe Features ? Its possible your current PTE version may already have all registrations activated. When you try to create a HD for PC and MAC ... do you get any message to load a key or does the actual file get created with or without any unregistered text display when played back ?
  7. iceberg, See this topic in Video Output forum section: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10154 WMPlayer {by itself) on XP does not have the necessary decoders (h264) to properly playback HD Video. You need something like Windows Media Player Classic HomeCinema Read these topics: http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12061 http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8954
  8. snapcam, Are you using the Create Custom AVI file option to burn to video disc or some other option available ? What 3rd party video program are you trying to import and burn with ? You can only use the other selectable Video Codecs when using the Custom Avi setting ... they are not selectable for DVD Video Disc, HD 1080, and HD 1280x720p 60FPS settings which only exclusively uses the PictureToExe Video Codec. Other selectable Video Codecs will not export to burn directly ... they must be saved first as a normal avi file which can be burned later (if they are compatable for use) with your 3rd party video program Using the PictureToExe Video Codec only gives you a temporary AVI file for which must be directly imported into your other 3rd party video program to burn imediately while PTE is open ... it does not create and save a stand alone avi file as such when using a mpeg2 codec. * Please note when using other video codecs for Custom Avi File ... make sure they are compatable to make and play stand alone avi files. They must be able to encode the avi container ... and they must also be able to decode the avi container for playback on your system.
  9. BB, Adding to Peter's post above ... I have attached an image that shows which PTE features are Standard and which features are part of VideoBuilder/Deluxe Features. Its all the same (one) program install ... the features are enabled by the type of registration key(s)
  10. snapcam, Which Video Codec have you selected to make your avi ouput ? Did you see a popup window in PTE program that looks like the (create-avi.jpg) attached image ? If you are using the PictureToExe Video Codec ... you will see a popup window (attached image) after initiating save that basically tells you to open your third party video burning program and select the file in order to burn it to video disc. You must select the avi file while PTE program is still open ... donot close PTE program (the popup window) till the file is made/burned to video disc by your other video software. If you have selected another Video Codec other than the PictureToExe Video Codec ... make sure the video codec is compatable for the type avi container you are trying to produce.
  11. Peter, Eric, Its sometimes the simplest things that always get us. Also, I should have mentioned to make sure you enable Repeat Music After Playing. One never knows how long those manual advances may take with interuptions. This way the music keeps playing and will only stop at show exit.
  12. You need only to make sure you are not enabling any Syncronize Music settings in the Project Options.
  13. Eric, Heres spec data and links on your ASRock Board G41MH-GE. I have not throughly looked the data over but check the links and read its offered FAQ info. Links: ASRock Products G41MH-GE http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=G41MH-GE (Download the board manual(s) from this page from upper left) ASRock Support FAQ http://www.asrock.com/support/faq.asp?c=Audio ------------- New Note: Also, Check any data sheet on your particular GT 220 model and find out if it has the sound chip on the video card to allow for HDMI audio passthrough. Please note all GT220 models and brands may have different features avail. From what I see the GT220 also supports Audio Input for HDMI - HDA, SPDIF If your is anything like this GT 240 user and his sound needs ... it may be possible to easily solve by a simple pc board bios setting and then set your default Audio control panel setting. Turn off GeForce GT 240 onboard sound - NVIDIA Forums http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=153955 His resolve was I solved by changing the BIOS setting of "on board audio" from "auto" to "enabled". HDMI and on-board audio will coexist. Then select the default output device from "Audio" menu of the control panel.
  14. Eric, You may want to check your pc board specs data sheet to see if it able to use selectable HD Audio Out or AC 97 Audio. These setting are made from my Intel pc board bios. I will try to find an attachment to show bios setting. The Intel board also has selectable outputs to other external connections depending on how they are setup during the build. See attachment. * You may need to download a pdf data sheet on the ASUS/ASROCK board you have
  15. Den/Peter, Deleting the offending text object still wont provide Denwell with his segmented slide setup I suspect he is looking for. He wants to skip the intro slides but not the following normal slide numbering.(Skip 5 intro slides and then start with Slide 1 count to wherever number, then skip next intro slides and start with next number from the earlier segment for the later slides .) *I can only suggest you either name/rename your groups of segmented images to the actual slide numbering order you desire (Slide 1.jpg etc and so on.) ... then use the FileName in the text template and then delete the named text objects that appear in your intro slides segment and any additional intro segments that lead to other group(s) of your numbered segemeted slide group. Still alot of extra work using this method which I personally would not do. or *The simpilest method/way to achieve your correct numbered slide group(s) ... is to build all intro segment(s) files separately and the numbered type slides in its own single segment, then link all the intro segments and the numbered slide segment via the Run SlideShow feature. Not so tricky if you think things out. You can also most likely get away with just 2 project file builds ... one which contains all the intro segment groups and the other containing all the numbered slides. Basically you will jump back and forth to the 2 files. Make sure you use the Slide Number text template for just the numbered type slides segment.
  16. Eric, Keep in mind that when installing/using a discrete video card (added on) ... it will disable the onboard integrated video chip/module that originally came on the pc. This will also disable the rear ouput(s) connections that relate to the onboard integrated video for display. When using a discrete video card ... you must also now start using the discrete cards own rear video ouput(s) and not the pc boards video ouput connections. You usually have no options to use both integrated and discrete video/connections for video out at the same time. Some pc board bios settings offer the user some manual configrations. Heres two starter links from Nvidia to help you understand/sort your HDMi Audio out issue. As it states ... "Sending audio from your PC to your HDTV is not as straightforward as sending video. The method you select will likely depend on the graphics card model your PC has." 17. Jose, Glad you have it sorted ... even with my typo errors in using the date Dec 2009 which should have been typed as Dec 2010. * I will edit/correct my earlier post with Dec 2010 so it does not confuse or mislead other users that follow this topic.
  18. Jose, I now see your issue as it relates to loading the newly purchased VideoBuilder key into a already active/valid PTE program version. As Peter's post above says ... you will have to wait for the next/newer release of PTE version that will ask you to load your newly purchased VideoBuilder Dec 2012 key. As of right now ... all your current PTE program versions are fully active and already have valid key registrations with the older Dec 2010 key. I see no easy way to replace an already active/valid key with another newer active/valid key using the PTE program ... unless you know your way using the Windows Registry directly. Uninstalling the PTE program will have no effect nor does it remove the key registration from the Windows Registry. So you donot need to uninstall/install PTE 6.5.5 ... nothing will change as it relates to loading your keys. Well ... at least you are ahead of the game and all ready for next PTE release which will have vide clip insertion. As a note : if the next PTE release just contains bug fixes and related issues ... your Dec 2010 VideoBuilder key will most likely still be valid and work.
  19. Jose, Try closing PTE and VideoBuilder completely ... restart again and check Video Builder upgrade date. Since v6.5.5 was officially released Nov 11, 2010 ... your Dec 19, 2010 key wont expire for that version. PicturesToExe and VideoBuilder are built and distributed as a combined program and called PicturesToExe Deluxe. If you have PicturesToExe Deluxe v6.5.5 (theres only one program for all user types) ... PicturesToExe and VideoBuilder are the same version. There no mix-n-match of versions. Example senerio: If you open a .pte file in PicturesToExe Deluxe v5.6 to make a DVD disc ... its going to be made using the same (v5.6) VideoBuilder version. Or if you open a .pte file in PicturesToExe Deluxe v6.5.5 to make a DVD disc ... its going to use the same (v6.5.5) VideoBuilder version and not the v5.6 VideoBuilder version.
  20. Eric, You appear to make this more complicated than it really is. If you pay for a new upgrade to Video Builder ... you will get a new VideoBuilder key. As the WnSoft site says: After the end of this period you can continue to use any previously released version of VideoBuilder for unlimited time or pay $34 for the upgrade of the newer version. So if you get a new VideoBuilder Key right now ... it will work for the latest VideoBuilder program release and all the older PTE versions that have VideoBuilder as well. You will not need mulitple older VideoBuilder keys ... you need only the new one. The thing to remember ... is you must load the new text format key into the newer/latest versions of PTE/VB.
  21. Peter & Colin, I had not so long ago tested the older format version keys vs new text format keys to various PTE program versions. - The New text format keys require 6.5.2 (or newer) version PicturesToExe to load a new license key. The New text format keys will not load into the older PicturesToExe versions. - The older format version keys are accepted for loading into all versions PicturesToExe. Heres how to tell them apart from each other: New text format keys use [PTE] and/or [VB] as part of its filestring. Older format version keys use [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PTE] and/or [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\WnSoft\VideoBuilder] as part of its filestring. So the results are : If you receive any New text format keys ...load with PicturesToExe v 6.5.2 or newer. You are still able to load Older format version keys into all new and older PicturesToExe versions. See link; http://www.picturestoexe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12430
  22. Stevie, If you want to just remove the added text comment from a single slide ... goto O&A and select the Text Comment object from the object list, rght-click the selected Text object and just delete it or just select the Text object itself and delete it.
  23. Eric, Since you seemed to have checked all the basics and still no HDMI video/sound ... Its wise to consult your tech about the issue. * Ive checked your eariler post on your pc equipment: Motherboard - ASRock (by ASUS), G41MH-GE socket-775. Four DDR2 DIMM slots. Features - 1333FSB, 6 x USB2.0, Gigabit 10/100/1000 LAN port, DVi, HDMI, 7.1 audio Graphics - Discrete graphics card, 1 Gb Nvidia Geforce GT 220 (PCI-Express x16) by XFX I have read cases where sometimes an originally on-board graphic display is replaced with an add-in graphic card ... the pc motherboard bios/setup needs some reconfiguration where the HDMI is concerned. This may not be your case ... however a review of the motherboard bios/setup would be a good start point. Next would be to check video driver updates and motherboard bios updates to see if they specifically address any HDMI problems/issues. Hopefully your issue is some simple overlooked setting and does not go to this extreme technical route.
  24. Eric, What is your pc video card make & model # ? (the full model # and not just the core model) The only thing that comes to mind at the moment is for you to verify the HDTV video source/inputs are set to use the HDMI port on the HDTV. You should be able to set these from the HDTV menu. Since you say you cannot see the HDTV menu ... you may also need to switch/select the various display modes/video modes available from the remote control. You will also most likely need to check/change the screen resolution (from pc display settings) that the HDTV supports. 25. Eric, Exactly. Turning-off D3D on the Menu project/build only affects the Menu only ... it does not turn-off D3D to any other applications calling for the process. Heres a basic overview link for those who may not know what D3D (Direct3D) is and what it does : Microsoft Direct3D - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Direct3D
