Hi
Since loading the latest version of PTE I find that when running my EXE file I get a progress bar showing at the bottom of the screen. This I find annoying. Any idea how to remove it.
Can I wish all Forum members a very Happy New Year.

Thanks Peter
You understood my problem. Maybe we can persuade Igor to give us the opportunity to set the position on the time line then go to full slide view select a slide and drop it into position.
Thanks

When I add slides from the full screen view of the file list the slides are always added at the end of the time line. Is there anyway to drop the individual slides into the time line where I want them to go?

IMO your sound file should be MP3, not MPEG3???
Yachtsman1.
My mistake I should have said MP3

Hi All
I am running versio 6.5 on Windows XP with Video Builder. Whilst my EXE file runs perfectly my transfer to Video has dropped the sound file. I have recorded the sound in both WAV and MPEG3 formats but this makes no difference. Am I doing something stupid?

Hi Mike,
I don't think so but it's an excellent challenge to make one in 3D !
If I have time, I will try something next week-end.
Unless guys like Lin, Fred, Jean-cyprien... already make one before.
That would be brilliant if you could do it. I would have no idea where to start especially in 3D.

Hi to the PTE World
Has anybody perfected a spinning roulette wheel and if so can you post a download.
Many thanks.

Thanks Brian
Yes that worked at least for 99% All sounds are suppressed with the exception of the volume control which still does a little ping when changed but that is of no concern as I use an independent control whilst giving my shows.

Hi Mike,
Following on from Stu's suggestion for Windows-7 ~ I note you are actually using XP-Pro which uses the following
XP Sound-Scheme and the way to change to "No-Sounds" is as follows:-
Press 'Start-Button'-->select Control Panel-->(double.clk Icon)-->Sounds & Audio Devices-->select Sound-Tab
Now open the 'Attachment-Shot' below which shows you how to configure the Ding-Dong Panel.
Note-
Will not effect the the normal Sound-Player nor Sound-Recorder for reproduction of your Music Files etc.
Hope this helps.

Hi Ken
Turning down the volumn will not help. It is the annoyiong bong I get whenever there is activity on my email account and the start up and closedown jingle that I want to stop. The rest of the time I need the volumn up for my shows. I had it on my old XP lap top but cannot remember how I got there. I would also like to stop the annoying pop ups "There are unused icon' etc that can ruin a show.

Mike,
Can you be more specfic about "jingles & bongs" ~ whats annoying you ? and what Computer did you buy ? PC or Laptop
and what Operating-System is it using. We gotta know some details first...
Brian (Conflow)
Sorry guys should have said.
I am using XP pro on a lap top. By annoying jingles I mean the start up and close down jingle and also the pop and bong noises one gets when pop up boxes appear telling you that you have unused icons etc.

Download the installer to a memory key on old laptop and install from the memory key on new laptop.
Use the registration key which you put in a safe place when it was sent to you (via the same method)?
DG
Thanks Dave. It is simple when you know how. Why did I not think of that??

Hi All
I have just bought a new lap top and really would prefer that it goes nowhere near the internet. Is there any way to copy PTE from my old hard drive to the new one. Advice please.

I've had two Sony & one Samsung in the last 10 years, the Sony's seem to have built in obsolescence after 3 years, but the 4 year old Samsung is still being used as my back up slide show machine after the Ram was up-rated to 4GB. I bought a portable desk top earlier this year as I couldn't find a laptop with which I thought would keep up with development speed at a price under £1500. If you are going for a LT with W7, use the 64 bit Professional OS or above & at least 8GB Ram.

Thanks that is most helpful.

I know a good few AV workers who use Acers and are happy with that brand.

Thanks Peter
Our camera club had a bad experience with an Acer (Ferrari) so I must admit I am not too keen to go with that make.

Hi All
Having just had my HP lap top die on me (purchased in 2006) what would anybody like to recommend as a suitable replacement for showing PTE AV's. Ideas from the UK would be best as I guess not all World Wide models are available here in the uk Price in the £ 500/600 bracket. My existing projector only has 15 pin D type imput

Yes I knew I could do a simple rotate. Perhaps I was seeking for something PTE cannot do as yet. I wanted to keep the curl to give the effect of turning the page. As a matter of interest I am running PTE on a Mac using software called Fusion. Sadly it would not open either your template or the Zipped example but I can guess what you achieved.

Hi Mike
You can do a simple curling turn over in the PTE transitions.
Yachtsman1
Hi Yachtsman
Yes I appreciate that I can do Curl of page rolling up from right bottom but what I want to achieve is to have an image on the back of the curl. Eg Half way through the transition there is a triangle showing in the top right which has the face detail but in obverse. What I am trying to achieve is on the front face a post card with written narrative then as it curls the picture on the reverse starts to become visible. Ideally the post card and picture is reduced in size and placed onto another image which I am using as wallpaper. I suppose it is not so much the turning of page 1 to reveal page 3 but to reveal page 2 so more the flipping of a page. I hope this makes sense.

Hi All
Can somebody please direct me to a tutorial or explain how to make a post card turn over to show what is on the other side. Ideally I would like it to curl from bottom right as if turning a page. I am looking to have a picture on one side and the narrative on the reverse.

Hi All
AVG have confirmed to me on the 19th july that the Trojan Derek and I picked up was indeed a false positive. They say that it will be removed on the next Definitions update.

Hi
Is there any way I can load images from the view file panel of images and prevent them from adding to the end of a sequence? What I want to achieve is to add a single slide in the middle of a sequence the slide being selected from the view facility and being placed exactly where I wish it to go.
