  1. Brilliant. When do we get the chance to own a template? Alan.
  2. This is great. Runs very smoothly on my PC. Did you construct the 3D cube within PTE. Are all the sides children of one, so that when it rotates they move with it? If so, I presume the cube is within an invisible frame that is moved around the screen. Please tell us the secrets. Alan
  3. Congratulations. This latest version is fantastic. It's great! I'm having fun already Thankyou Alan
  4. Hi Lin I have a flat screen 17" monitor from Dell set at 1280 x 1024 on Radeon x600 256 Hypermemory Graphics card. The PC is a Dell Dimension 9150 with 2meg memory and Intel Dual Core processor. I get full screen display with no flicker and no vertical lines. It is not possible to see when the slides change. I'm very impressed. Will try the system with some of my own panoramas. Alan
  5. Just what I asked for. Thanks Igor. I am really looking forward to using this feature. Cant wait. Hope it's not too long in arriving. Alan
  6. I get the same error message when I run in Preview but it is not present in an exe made from the same project. Alan
  7. Hi Andrew I've been away. Only just catching up on forum. Why not select the image in the objects window, right click and use order to bring image to the front . Work on it and then use order to put it back where it belongs in the levels. Alan
  8. I have used the Pte show file with a slight addition where I was experimenting with borders to images. the Project options advanced option as is shown below. I have checked the file out and the direction changes are definitely after only one press but I would agree that the pause by using space bar followed by direction arrows changes slides but does not restart the show. In my enthusiasm I thought it was, may be I was wrong If you would still like the file I'll send it via media fire. Alan
  9. I have just tried running an exe file made with 5.6.4 and do not experience the problems mentioned. Both left and right keys are immediately effective after only one keypress even after pause using the space bar. The display can be switched rapidly in each direction without a problem. Alan
  10. May I suggest an alternative method. Why not simply place the small image above a filled frame or rectangle that is sized just one or two pixels larger than the image. In fact if the image was placed as a child of the frame or rectangle then any pan or zoom required could involve the pair and the visual border would be maintained. This method would also avoid the need to have a set of templates. Alan
  11. Thanks Igor I am really looking forward to using this facility. I shall await its implementation with great enthusiasm. Hopefully the team will suceed in version 5.7. Can't wait for the Beta's. Regards Alan
  12. I'll try again with this link. http://www.libertiny.com/brushportfolio/?p=96 Alan
  13. Hi. I have just come across a free set of Photoshop brushes for creating flames. I remebered this thread from sometime back and thought that maybe they would help in creating the effect desired. The address is http://www.libertiny.com/brushportfolio/?p=96 Hope its of use. Alan
  14. Only the Log paper which I have used regularly for some time . I have looked at the other progs but not regularly used them. I think much of the Image Analyser effects can be achieved in photoshop or elements. Alan
  15. Try the Free Log Paper prog from MeeSoft http://meesoft.logicnet.dk/ set the lines as in attached screen shot (without Log setting) and print thick or thin lines accordingly. Good Luck Alan
  16. Have you thought of creating the transitions from one picture to another in the centre of a slide with the subsequent slide starting at the point of the end of the previous slide. By moving keyframes for each slide along the time line any variation of fade in/out can be acheived. Inserting additional keyframes for an image allows speed adjustment of the fade up or down as well. Just a thought. I have attached a zip of a quick test I have made to try my theory before replying. The first slide has a simple fade in fade out at a single point on the timeline the second has an overlap. By moving the keyframes around for the two images in Objects and Animations a change of transition can be acheived. The only draw back would be that it would take longer to acheive than using PTE transitions. Regards Alan transition_test_Apr24_2009_8_51_06.zip
  17. Thanks Dom, That is a really good idea. I have been looking for background inspiration for a project using photos that will not enlarge to full screen, so your idea solves the problem. Thanks again, Alan
  18. Before I had seen Lin's reply to your query I tried an experiment with Masks to see if that would acheive your desired effeect. It seems to do the trick OK by adding a mask of the blurred image and then setting the opacity to zero at the beginning of the slide rising to 100% during the progression of the slide. I then tried it with a selective mask and zoom. This can be seen in the two files listed below. A zipof the exe and a zip of the PTE project. http://www.mediafire.com/file/ynmmumte254/blurtest.zip http://www.mediafire.com/file/jzmmg1etudy/...t_PTE_Files.zip Hope this helps. Alan
  19. I'm sorry to disagree Ken but midi files, like all artistic works, are copyright to the creator, and very often the writer of the music. Often the copyright has been written to the file and is displayed when using some midiplayers. I use the player available free from Van Basco Webpage where the copyright displays in the karaoke window. Alan
  20. I actually use my yamaha keyboard to play the chosen midi file and make a line out recording using audacity. These can be saved as a wave file or MP3. The keyboard handles any effects in the midi files in a far better way than the PC sound card and acheives superior sound. Another bonus by using this method is instrument voice may be changed if desired. I'm not sure whether an auto converter would acheive the same standard. Alan
  21. Using Xaver's solution you may also relocate the centre of the frame by holding down shift and click drag. This will cause t the rotation to to be more linear or eliptical. Alan
  22. When I discovered that my laptop only had a mono line input socket I discovered the "Sound Blaster Connect". This USB device allows two way stereo connection between PC's and any amplifying equipment. It even has optical connection capability. I and my music teacher have both used one very successfully connecting to a variety of amplifying equipment, from domestic HiFi to on site amplification systems. We both consider it exceptional. I also use it to record old LP's Cassettes and CD's from my Hi Fi, and from my Yamaha electronic keyboard. see:- Creative's site details. Use of such a device would enable you to use existing HiFi kit, venue amplification equipment or any equipment you choose. I can thoroughly recommend it. Alan
  23. Great show. Well done. Ran without a problem on my PC XP Media Centre v.2002 SP3v.3311 Dell Dimension DXP051 Pentium D CPU 2.87GHz - 1GB Ram Radeon X600 256MB Hyper Memory You should get together with BJC and do the light show for the London Olympics 2012 Regards Alan
  24. Hi Jerry. An alternative thought although, more time consuming than previously suggested, would be to set the Display time setting of each slide (using Customise slide/Main) to the known length of the MP3 maybe adding extra time for pause gaps as required. This way any changes or re-introductions could easily be accomodated. Regards Alan
  25. That's a shame. I wonder how the guys at Adobe enabled Photoshop to acheive it in "Edit-transform " Regardsd, Alan
