  1. In the border settings box thingy...it keeps going back to 34 when I wish to use 10. Is there any way to get it to stay at 10? That should be a simple one guys. Thanks for all the help today. Andrew.
  2. Hi Jim, What I want is a clickable slide that wont transition till it is clicked. I sort of found a way while I'm waiting and that is to make the word 'Play' have the action associated with it to run slideshow. I set the time at 60 seconds to give the slide viewer plenty of time for the viewer to read and 'click' the slide to start the show proper. That means however I cant have the music staring with that slide cause its stood still!! Any other methods? Andrew
  3. That looks like a unique experience. Love France too, but spend most of our time in Normandy. Great shows. Never understood the work, but you displayed it beautifully. Andrew
  4. Love it. I especially like how you used the 3D to introduce the verticals.
  5. I have created a slide with a piece of text [Play] which I have assigned the action 'Run Slideshow'. However, How do I get that slide with the text on it to NOT transition to the next slide until the text is clicked. Hope I have explained that properly. Andrew
  6. Hi Colin, I'm sorry the show upset your friend. I sort of thought along those lines myself. Maybe it wasnt really suitable for that type of selection, but it was my choice and you all helped me to do the best I could. So I really wasnt downhearted, and I was joking about sulking. It is back to the drawing board tho. Andrew
  7. I just new I had something to learn about this. Thanks nobeefstu.
  8. This has me baffled. In OA when I have two objects or more when I try to 'grab' one of them the 'box' always goes back to the original image. That is to say: Image 1 is first in OA Image 2 is added Then when I try to select image 2 to move it around [not using the counter thingy's] It immediately selects image 1 again. Any help on that. Andrew
  9. And the worst part is...it's pink. I'm going to have to lie down with dark glasses on now.
  10. Thanks for the kind encouragement. Yes the judge must be respected in that they are our choice to make the selections/comments. I think if the 4 selected were shown here there would be a revolution. They [honestly] are that bad. Still on the + side, I learned a lot, and next year I'll do it very differently. My sulking day is over, so its back to the learning curve. You guys just wont let a chap get to far down will you!!!
  11. Nah its cool guys really. I guess I'll just have to learn a bit more and do better next time.
  12. Well last night my Auschwitz show went to the club for inclusion among 13 for consideration. We needed to select 4 for our coming competition against 2 other clubs. I watched in horror as verticals replaced horizontals and cut outs flashed across the screen.Images with nothing to hold them in their position panned and zoomed with abandon. No mounts or textuers on the BG's to compliment the images were in evidence. No presentation of any kind could I see. "I'm in with a chance here " I thought. Then up it came...Auschwitz played its soulefull refrain from Schindlers List and the intro slide scrolled smoothly giving the viewers time to read the preface. I was bursting with pride and thanking everyone of you for the help you had so freely given. It looked wonderful up there on the big screen as it transitioned from Camp 1 to Camp 2 and displayed the horrors of the place in full colour. Then it was over and a few minutes later the voting papers were collected and counted. "This is it" I thought,I must have a chance. The president read out the 4 in reverse order of ballot. Not #4 ..ok not #3 I was getting excited, could I have got the top spot...not #2 Here we go Andrew...And the top spot goes to....Not Auschwitz!!!! I didnt get selected. Then the reserve was called ...maybe...no...not even #5. WTF!!!! How could they. Conspiracy abounds I thought. Rubbish !!! The 4 chosen only proved that audiences prefer bells and whistles. So now I'm going to sulk for a while before I find another subject, and on the competition night I shall be there to cheer on my club while secretely shouting "I told you so" when they get pulverised. Mind you at may age I thought I had used up all my disappointment genes. Guess not. Andrew.
  13. I want to try creating my own buttons, and getting them to work in the shows. I had a look at the default ones and it looks complex. Is there a tut on this or can anyone advise please? Andrew.
  14. Superb. Thank you Xaver. I couldnt see the box. Its very....white Andrew
  15. I've been reading the tut's on buttons and trying what I learn. However, when I add a button and select the property 'Go to slide number' as its action, I cant find the place to enter a slide number to go to. I'd appreciate a pointer. Andrew.
  16. Thanks Peter. Trying that now . Andrew
  17. I followed the advice given here to Dan. I have a question from it. Can I put a border round the rectangle to make it stand out. I created the rectangle and put the text as a child of it. Reduced the opacity of the rectangle [before adding the text] but would like to have a border round the rectangle. Can this be done? Andrew. [Dan - Sorry for hijacking your question]
  18. I have used the windowed mount method and find it very good. What I do is, on the first slide [all slides are in line at this stage] place the mount in position [size etc] so it looks as it will in the finished product, then simply copy the mount. This then allows you to move onto the next slide and in OA [make sure you deselct everything] paste it into place. It then 'pastes' in at the size and position of the slide from whence you copied it. Simples! TT
  19. Thanks Jim, I'm downloading it as we speak. Andrew
  20. It worked fine on mine. Very smooth.
  21. Hi Colin, Unfortunately Scotland didnt make it to the finals, but at least I get to see what we're missing. Excellent presentation. Andrew
  22. Hi R. Le. Bleu. I had read that thread, but it doesnt mention how to achieve that on individual slides. I did ask this question in another thread and was told it's not possible to do this yet. Hense my suggestion for the next version. If it is possibel I'd appreciate knowing how. Andrew
