  1. I was at the NMA on Sunday and saw the results of the photography competition. Congrats to Howard on a very well deserved 1st Place. Stunning image. Andrew
  2. As a vetern myself I had to compose myself for a few minutes before writing. The NMA is probably my favourite place to visit, having 3 friends named on the wall, and one on the Basra Wall. Howard, I salute you. This will find a place on my web site, and may I suggest you send this to Beechbrook so that it may be seen globally. Andrew.
  3. A week ago I visited Roslyn for the first time in 2 years. I'm very happy to see the restoration work has leapt forward. With the extra revenues generated from the movie and the increased visitors they have added a shop and restraunt. The proceeds of which will go directly toward the cost of the restoration. This mystical building must be preserved. In 2008 photography was banned in the chapel due to an accident and subsequent law suit. Thereafter the trustees had a photodisc created, which once purchased allows the use of the images ' not for financial gain '. So I have combined my own [pre '08] with the disc images and have created an updated presentation. 58meg 4:09 It can be downloaded from here : http://www.trailertrashaudiovisual.com/Roslyn.exe or from Beechbrook [Thanks Bill] I do hope the future of this amazing chapel is now secure for the next 600 years. Regards Andrew
  4. Hi maureen. I'd still like to add you as the Featured artist, if thats ok.

  5. To old to care any more Colin. So I'll just enter a number and hope for the best.
  6. After careful consideration of x+y = pye and 2/5/2 equals whatever, I've deceided that I'm agin it....whatever it is!!!
  7. Yep Eric I shall garb myself in sackcloth and ashes. However, it now seems to me that to understand SIMPLE transition time > Slide time > Transition time - I now have to be a mathematition. I dont want to have to study algebra again at my age. I want things SIMPLE. Please Igor and advisors....give us something we can all understand without having to resort to calculas!!!! Andrew
  8. Whats wrong with following proshows method and having independent timeings for each transition and each slide!!! They have video and they dont have all this nonsense.
  9. Dear O Dear o Dear....when we get something simple.
  10. Hi Maureen, Thank you for the positive comments. I'm begining to think the slideshow section of the forum is defunkt. That stadium does indeed need a show of its own.I also use Producer and have split them into seperate shows in there. I should have done that in PTE.Its just such a fabulous place to visit. Thanks for the encouragement - Andrew

  11. Really no point in it at all Mick. I think the main and only object of the forum now is for question and answers at which it still excels. Andrew
  12. The final part of our Barcelona trip. Inc Camp Nou stadium-The Olympic Stadium and the sights of the city. 48.6 meg 7:39secs 50 slides Hosted via beechbrook [ I'm taking my web site down for a full re-vamp] Andrew
  13. LOL No John. I seem to have spelt it wrong.... bummer.
  14. We went to Barcelona to celebrate our birthdays [ Jane and I are only 1 day between ] and Anniversary [ 38th ] and spent 5 days there. This is an astonishing place. The sights, the sounds and the hustle and bustle is amazing. We saw as much as we could given my ' circumstances ' but I even made it up in the lift to the top of the Sangrada!!! That building is just breathtaking. The design and the work that has went into it is just unbelieveable. So I created a small 4:28 - 33 slide - 25 meg presentation which is hosted via beechbrook [Thanks Bill] if anyone fancies a look. Part 2 will be the rest of the trip inc Camp Nou, the olympic stadium and the touristy bits. Andrew
  15. I could have happily watched double the length and more. Loved the close ups [ my fav is the ' maiden ' with the dark BG ] You can find a lot of free medievil music here: http://www.jsayles.com/familypages/earlymusic.htm Its all free. Altogether a very very good show. Andrew
  16. Scotlands Festival of History is celebrated annually at the town of Lanark. It plays host to many re-enactment societies, from a variety of events including the Roman's,Vikings, Tudor, Napoleonic, American Civil War, WW1 and WW2. All the ' characters ' assume the role they play for the event and will reply to your questions in the first person. Displays include the correct procedure for killing witches, [something the Scots were particullarly good at it seems] roasting techniques [thats pigs] weaponry, archery, falconry and full blown battle recreations. There are a vast array of craft stalls which sell all manner of wood carved items, clothes of the periods to full sized swords and shields!!! The actors will, when asked assume any pose to help you get the pictures you want, without payment. Just visit their particular stand and spend a moment or two discussing their uniforms and weapons. Its very interesting. There are numerous stalls selling things to eat and drink. So no need to go hungry. My personal favourite ' persona ' was General Robert E Lee. This presentation runs for 8:42 seconds and has 87 slides - 7 sound tracks. 53 meg Best viewed at full screen - 16:9 Nothing offensive. http://www.trailertrashaudiovisual.com/Slideshows/Heritage.exe Mac Version: http://www.mediafire.com/?vl827k5zs557h5z Beechbrook Link: http://www.beechbrook.com/pte/downloadfile.asp?id=1978 Thanks Bill for hosting. Andrew
  17. Yes, the weekend from heaven. For me as a Scot, starting off with the Fringe, then the Tattoo then The Dundonald Highland Games....bliss. I've created a composite of the 3 so it runs out at: Images: 1920 x 1080 [ size on screen 80% ] 16:9 resolution Images shot at 1600 ISO Single transition [ Fade in/out ] 10 minutes 44 secs 54 Meg 82 slides 5 audio pieces No video No captions [Good or bad] Thanks to Davegee and Peter for the help and advice. http://www.trailertrashaudiovisual.com/Tattoo2011.exe Andrew
  18. Well this old dog is certainly having to learn new tricks. Thank you all for the help and advice gentlemen. Its SO appreciated. Andrew
  19. Thanks Dave, that was doing me head in. I understand now. Although I think the timing system could be vastly improved, I have a grasp of it now. Many thanks. [ Dont go to far, I have a few more questions!!! :) Andrew
  20. OK Thanks Dave, I get that, but have to say that's ridiculous. Why cant we have transition times and slide times as separate entries. Can anyone help with the last part: Why, when I choose to display slide #3 in the preview pane does it display slide #2? Andrew
  21. OK, I have beta 14 and this is the first time I have used it. I have 8 slides set in the slide view with a time per slide of 5 sec's, and a transition of 3 seconds. My math tells me that the duration should be be 74 seconds, slides and transitions. The timeline shows 19 sec's and when I try the preview button it fly's thro them as tho they do indeed equal 19 sec's in total. Also, when I right click in the preview pane looking for full screen preview it shows the slide I have selected full screen but no preview. As if that wasn't enough....when I select a slide in the slide view on the bottom slide view, it doesn't show the selected slide but the slide previous. ie: I select slide 4 and it displays slide 3!!!! This programme is becoming a chore. Any help out there. I know Igor is away. Andrew PS I have restarted and closed the programme several times to no avail.
  22. Great photography Paul. That looks like a real adventure. Have to agree with Mick tho, the music does start to grate a bit, but I know its what you wanted, so thats fine. Andrew
  23. Responses on this forum are few and far between Noel. However, those who do will give you all the help you need. In this case I did enjoy the show concept, but as said the images looked a bit stretched. It may be worth checking out some members web sites for examples of their shows for comparison. One other point to consider...not everyone can get onto the forum to give feedback in the short time between you posting and returning to the forum. Andrew
  24. Have a good holiday Igor, and dont forget you can now use video in PTE , so lets see some good stuff. Andrew
