  1. The things we take for granted! Love the concept. Nicely done. Andrew
  2. Isnt my homeland just magnificent. You and you son have done her proud. Then again, I would not expect anything less for my Lakelandlass folder. Another keeper. Andrew
  3. Well that's no where near long enough Davy. You have to go back. That place is a photographers paradise. Overall I loved the show [ superb photography ] but not overly keen on the music, but that's only my preference. When one considers the conditions these people worked in....God love them.I note with interest that some of the machinery was made in Dundee and Paisley. Yes, a longer version is a must. Andrew
  4. Maureen, you do a good job, by god you do. I envy your talent. You see some amazing places too. Another addition to my Lakelandlass folder. Andrew
  5. Excellent presentation Mark. Just loved it. I may never get there, but I got to see whales breech thanks to you. Andrew
  6. Superb. I could have watched a longer version easily. This joins my keepers folder.. Andre
  7. Paul, this has been discussed at some length on the forum. Views v comments. I think [ and its only my opinion ] we have reached the point where we post our work [ those who can bear it ] and if anyone wishes to comment then fine....or....we post our work but dont expect comments....or we post our work and expect comments, but dont bother to comment on others.....or....well the list goes on. The end result is if you get 100 views and 2 comments your doing very well indeed on this forum. I wonder how an alternative forum would do. However if you need help and you ask...you'll get it.
  8. Paul, I've added a direct link for the .exe Andrew
  9. Paul, you need a small programme called winrar, it opens the .rar file to show the .exe. Its really just a container, but it does reduce the size of the file, thus reducing download times etc. I'll be putting this on my web site today, so if you dont want to download it I'll post a link later. Andrew
  10. Beautiful photography. Love it. Andrew
  11. This is a short record of a visit to the Normandy region of Northern France, a place I'd be happy to live out my days.. Its also my first attempt at introducing video. Download here: http://www.mediafire.com/?35az1cbbbl74cy9 32 meg 20 secs of video 1 Audio track, with 2 tracks mixed. 3m 54 secs Hope you see something you like. Andrew Click here for the .exe file: http://www.trailertrashaudiovisual.com/Normandy.exe
  12. BOY is this one tough! OK I got a result with size/position by writing down the values and transferring them that way. Next I had to work out a shadow for a moving object with another behind it, you would think that 2 objects with the same shadow [ 50%] would equal 100% but to get the same opacity of shadow [ once they stop ] one of them has to be set to 75%. Go figure! However, the good news is, Lin and Peter, thank you for setting me on the correct path. The rest should be simple!!! Andrew
  13. Peter, thank you. Lin has sussed it right. If you start with kf1 and need the object to be in a certain spot and size and behind another object then its impossible to see the thing as you try to alter it! So it seems the only solution is indeed opacity. That's not good. There should be a way to see the object as you work it, and not have to rely on opacity. Tha'ts fixing a problem with a problem to me. Andrew
  14. Thanks Lin, I never gave a thought to opacity. DOH! This gets tougher all the time...There has to be a better way than copy paste tho....IGOR!!!! Andrew
  15. How on earth do I do this: When I add an object kf1 shows its start position and size, which I need to change for the object to be in the correct position on the screen. OK so far. If I'm adding an object to a stack of objects [ be it a child or not ] I need it to be in a specific ending point on the screen. OK, so I set the final KF and note the size/position/zoom and pan details. This as far as I can see should be identical in the first kf. However because the object is behind another I cant actually see the position etc till I click on the final kf. [ I hope I'm explaining this properly] So how do I set the position of the object in kf1 to match the position in the final kf. Andrew PS: Why is there no save button in QA?
  16. Thank you guys. I'll try those out today. Andrew
  17. If I make an object [ a video ] a child of an image, it appears above it in the order of things. I want it underneath [or behind it ] Is there a way to get a child behind or under the parent. Hope I explained that correctly. Andrew
  18. Thanks Lin. I guess its all or nothing for that then. Andrew
  19. If I have 2 video clips running in one slide, 1 as a BG the other has movement via keyframes, and they both have soundtracks, I know I can mute either of them for the duration of the clips. However, is it possible to mute both or either of them for specific periods via the keyframes. ie: clip 1 used as the BG runs from KF 1 to KF 2 with sound. KF 2 - KF3 no sound allowing clip 2 sound to play, then mute clip 2 and resume clip 1. Is that possibel? Andrew
  20. Thing is tho Dave, I accept that I'm not experienced enough to tell Igor how to advance this programme. However, I cant be alone in feeling that there's a lot of work in finding and understanding the various functions. I'd prefer it if they were on show rather that in the BG and I have to search for the. A new user interface is definitely on my wish list.
  21. Is PTE becoming so complex that the new/average user who wants to create a show for family/friends isnt going to be able to use/understand it. I have to admit that the idea of having to right click to find some of the menus and search tool bars is a chore. The latest thing about slide durations has gone right over my head. I have no idea what thats about. Why cant the duration reflect the total slide time only [ inc the transition time ]Then theres no sums to be done. While P2E remains unsurpassed for quality and now that video has been included thats all great, but not if the new/average user finds it so daunting they run off to proshow or some other app. Come on Igor, more user friendly for us little guys. Andrew
  22. Norton has become a virus in itself. Its an absolute terror. I have been on McAfee [free from BT UK] for about 2 years now and although it warns you of .exe files it does allow the download.
  23. What a lovely wee lass. Looks like she was having fun. As for the cube...superb. I dont think I could ever master that technique. Andrew
