(SOLVED) Issues I've not seen before..
trailertrash replied to trailertrash's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Dave, that was doing me head in. I understand now. Although I think the timing system could be vastly improved, I have a grasp of it now. Many thanks. [ Dont go to far, I have a few more questions!!! :) Andrew -
(SOLVED) Issues I've not seen before..
trailertrash replied to trailertrash's topic in General Discussion
OK Thanks Dave, I get that, but have to say that's ridiculous. Why cant we have transition times and slide times as separate entries. Can anyone help with the last part: Why, when I choose to display slide #3 in the preview pane does it display slide #2? Andrew -
OK, I have beta 14 and this is the first time I have used it. I have 8 slides set in the slide view with a time per slide of 5 sec's, and a transition of 3 seconds. My math tells me that the duration should be be 74 seconds, slides and transitions. The timeline shows 19 sec's and when I try the preview button it fly's thro them as tho they do indeed equal 19 sec's in total. Also, when I right click in the preview pane looking for full screen preview it shows the slide I have selected full screen but no preview. As if that wasn't enough....when I select a slide in the slide view on the bottom slide view, it doesn't show the selected slide but the slide previous. ie: I select slide 4 and it displays slide 3!!!! This programme is becoming a chore. Any help out there. I know Igor is away. Andrew PS I have restarted and closed the programme several times to no avail.

Great photography Paul. That looks like a real adventure. Have to agree with Mick tho, the music does start to grate a bit, but I know its what you wanted, so thats fine. Andrew

Responses on this forum are few and far between Noel. However, those who do will give you all the help you need. In this case I did enjoy the show concept, but as said the images looked a bit stretched. It may be worth checking out some members web sites for examples of their shows for comparison. One other point to consider...not everyone can get onto the forum to give feedback in the short time between you posting and returning to the forum. Andrew

Have a good holiday Igor, and dont forget you can now use video in PTE , so lets see some good stuff. Andrew

The things we take for granted! Love the concept. Nicely done. Andrew

Theres trouble at' Mill Again
trailertrash replied to coopernatural's topic in Slideshows & AV Shows
Well that's no where near long enough Davy. You have to go back. That place is a photographers paradise. Overall I loved the show [ superb photography ] but not overly keen on the music, but that's only my preference. When one considers the conditions these people worked in....God love them.I note with interest that some of the machinery was made in Dundee and Paisley. Yes, a longer version is a must. Andrew -
Maureen, you do a good job, by god you do. I envy your talent. You see some amazing places too. Another addition to my Lakelandlass folder. Andrew
-
Excellent presentation Mark. Just loved it. I may never get there, but I got to see whales breech thanks to you. Andrew
-
Superb. I could have watched a longer version easily. This joins my keepers folder.. Andre

Paul, this has been discussed at some length on the forum. Views v comments. I think [ and its only my opinion ] we have reached the point where we post our work [ those who can bear it ] and if anyone wishes to comment then fine....or....we post our work but dont expect comments....or we post our work and expect comments, but dont bother to comment on others.....or....well the list goes on. The end result is if you get 100 views and 2 comments your doing very well indeed on this forum. I wonder how an alternative forum would do. However if you need help and you ask...you'll get it.

Paul, I've added a direct link for the .exe Andrew
-
Paul, you need a small programme called winrar, it opens the .rar file to show the .exe. Its really just a container, but it does reduce the size of the file, thus reducing download times etc. I'll be putting this on my web site today, so if you dont want to download it I'll post a link later. Andrew

Beautiful photography. Love it. Andrew

start position/end position with KF's
trailertrash replied to trailertrash's topic in General Discussion
Peter, why didnt I think of that.....DOH! -
start position/end position with KF's
trailertrash replied to trailertrash's topic in General Discussion
BOY is this one tough! OK I got a result with size/position by writing down the values and transferring them that way. Next I had to work out a shadow for a moving object with another behind it, you would think that 2 objects with the same shadow [ 50%] would equal 100% but to get the same opacity of shadow [ once they stop ] one of them has to be set to 75%. Go figure! However, the good news is, Lin and Peter, thank you for setting me on the correct path. The rest should be simple!!! Andrew -
start position/end position with KF's
trailertrash replied to trailertrash's topic in General Discussion
Peter, thank you. Lin has sussed it right. If you start with kf1 and need the object to be in a certain spot and size and behind another object then its impossible to see the thing as you try to alter it! So it seems the only solution is indeed opacity. That's not good. There should be a way to see the object as you work it, and not have to rely on opacity. Tha'ts fixing a problem with a problem to me. Andrew -
start position/end position with KF's
trailertrash replied to trailertrash's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Lin, I never gave a thought to opacity. DOH! This gets tougher all the time...There has to be a better way than copy paste tho....IGOR!!!! Andrew -
How on earth do I do this: When I add an object kf1 shows its start position and size, which I need to change for the object to be in the correct position on the screen. OK so far. If I'm adding an object to a stack of objects [ be it a child or not ] I need it to be in a specific ending point on the screen. OK, so I set the final KF and note the size/position/zoom and pan details. This as far as I can see should be identical in the first kf. However because the object is behind another I cant actually see the position etc till I click on the final kf. [ I hope I'm explaining this properly] So how do I set the position of the object in kf1 to match the position in the final kf. Andrew PS: Why is there no save button in QA?
-
Thank you guys. I'll try those out today. Andrew

If I make an object [ a video ] a child of an image, it appears above it in the order of things. I want it underneath [or behind it ] Is there a way to get a child behind or under the parent. Hope I explained that correctly. Andrew

Thanks Dave, that works.... Andrew
