  1. Very creative. The blinds look very well done and the exit via the window is great. Overall very very good. Andrew
  2. My former Regiment The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards held their homecoming parade in Glasgow on the 28th of November. It was a delight to see the lads and the colours on parade. There were a lot of old comrades there also, many of whom I served with. Sadly they had losses. http://www.trailertrashaudiovisual.com/Homecomingpte.zip May I also take this opportunity to wish you all the very best for the coming 12 months " May the best you wish for be the worst you get " Andrew
  3. Maureen, A very very fine show indeed. The light/reflections and rainbows are magnificent. There is a local Photographer called Alan Campbell on Skye who is married to my niece/godaughter. You might like to check out his work. He's very very good. http://www.woodrising-gallery.co.uk/Pages/About_Alan.html Andrew
  4. Very nice. Well put together. The animation is great. Lot of work there. Andrew
  5. This is the Xmas version of the Paris show. This was the first time we have been to Paris at this time of year. I have to say its outstanding. The Stalls are all busy and the amount of food that is eaten is incredible. I'm so glad we went at this time. 4:18 53 slides 2 audio tracks PC Version: http://www.trailertrashaudiovisual.com/Parisxmas.zip Mac Version: http://www.trailertrashaudiovisual.com/Parisxmasmac.zip
  6. Hi Bert. Thanks for taking the trouble to view my work. We did get around a bit over there. Its a city where you can access the main sights within a reasonable distance. Music: I'm sorry you found it not entirely to your taste. I fell in love with those tracks the minute I heard them. Funny that, isnt it. Best wishes Andrew
  7. Thanks Colin. It was well worth the visit. An astonishing city....but so so expensive!!!! Andrew
  8. Hi Judy. Thank you. I really appreciate the members taking time to look over my work. An encouraging comment is the icing on the cake. Thank you. Andrew
  9. Thanks for the encouragement Ken. The Xmas Cards are coming in part 2! Andrew
  10. Thanks Mary. I do love that city. That was our second time there and it wont be the last. Andrew
  11. Jane and I went to Paris for a few days to sample the Xmas experience there. We werent disappointed. Paris is beautiful at any time, but Xmas is spectacular. The night lights there are astonishing. We visited the main tourist spots and included the Church of St Sulpice to see if the ' Rose Line ' was real. Regretablly it is not. However we did manage to locate the ' Brass Markers ' inlaid into the streets to indicate the meridian line, which the movie used as the rose line. The images in this presentation are my choice as the ones which best represent the city.I Thought about the postcard theme as soon as we got there and saw the number of postcard sellers on the ' Strip '. 7m:25secs 53meg 86 slides containing 130 images 2 audio tracks. 13. Excellent presentation. The photography in particular is very very good. Love the colours, and the music. No issues for me. Andrew
  14. I really love this type of show Mike. Olde Worlde stuff is great. I love your images. Great quality. The carousel and swingboat is very well done, but I dont know how well that will be thought of here. [ No bells and Whistles ] Overall I do like this and your choice and use of the soundtrack is superb. Andrew
  15. I got an 8GB card with the kit and one battery. I think I will invest in a couple more cards and at least one more battery. I'm also going to look at the speedlight for the kit. Andrew
  16. Quickie question: Does CS3 have RAW facilities?
  17. Thanks Eric and Lin. There is a lot to learn about this one. Having never shot in RAW before I feel a bit more confident about trying it with this one. For some reason I seem to understand the instructions better!
  18. Checked my PM's Dave. No message as of 12:44pm
  19. I downloaded the trial and will have a 'play' with it. Is there anything it can do that Photoshop cant Dave. Just to get me pointed in the right direction? Andrew
  20. Yes Dave your right. Its View NX2 that came with it. I must look into NX2 and see if ' She ' will let me go a bit further.... Andrew
  21. Dave, That came on a disc with the camera. I have yet to fugure it all out. Kindest regards Andrew
  22. My Canon Digital Rebel was getting a bit long in the tooth, although it still takes very good images. However I deceided it was time for a major upgrade. So off we toddled to Glasgow and I settled on a Nikon D5100 with a standard lens 28-50mm and a 55-200mm Nikor Zoom. They threw in a few bits...ie a bag and a UV filter and knocked some money off the accidential damage cover. All things considered I was happy with what I got and look forward to trying it out. First I have to read the book!!! Technology has really moved on since I got the Canon in 2005. I like the high ISO facility since I only had 1600 in the Canon but now have 6400 and up to 25000 by adjusting the ISO settings in the menu. Full HD 1080 Movie capability and vibration reduction in the lenses [whatever that is] A really big view screen helps also. So hopefully I can justify spending a considerable amount of money on new gear and improve my photography and the quality of my AV work. Andrew
