  1. Jeff, all my congratulations for this guide. Well done ! Thanks for PTE and the community .
  2. You are right, sure ! (your file MP3 must be OK = perfect or near) For a DVD, I prepare a .avi (PTE) only from a first sound file .wav encoded to MP3 (256-320) or Ogg (0,7 -1), all with a high bitrate = high quality.
  3. With a DVD-Video disc, no hard disk seek timing, by example. So, we see no delay between two slides (push effect).
  4. This morning (France), it seems to work (download) again (only a little problem with certain thumbnails).
  5. One example: first, delete "All Transition Points" from an existing project .
  6. Thanks for the interesting link. In my little presentation, we see french marmots . Two or three, easy to shot, but the most was very difficult (mothers): wait during one or two hours lying down. "Marguerite" is a marmot living near the white glacier (Ecrins) and we find it on the footpath (2000m), very friendly when no much people are here: it's his name. The others of this slideshow live in high alps (also near 1800-2200m), but they are wilder and difficult to shot (only the morning, when no people are here). We have a little trick: to put a carrot or another vegetable and wait...(but no sugar, because they can dead). It's funny !
  7. If no (and if yes also ), you can find these friends here !. Only 1mn8s and 7mb.
  8. With NeroVision Express (3.014), we can choice Dolby AC3 as with DVD author (plugin to buy). The results are OK, but better with a sound .vaw, I think .
  9. Gary, I hope you believe to Christmas father .
  10. Important, please, before, choice the default parameters (PTE DVD) to peprare the file .avi. If you are sure that your file MP3 is OK, use only NeroVisionExpress to encode and burn right the DVD. Then, after, tell us if the problem is the same. Thanks.
  11. I just downloaded now "Kyoto" with no problem. Perhaps, certain files, but I don't know and I cann't download all .
  12. If you don't use NRG to burn, it's the sound better ? What codec ? And without this codec, is it OK ? I think Nero has not the best encoder, but, until, certain of my DVD (NeroVision Express) play fine (sound wave or MP3 high bitrate before encoding).
  13. If you speak about "Upload", please look at this message. But the download is OK.

    Help

C:\Windows\regedit.exe HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PTE, then File "Export"... I hope that you help.
  15. Are you sure ? Try it: [autorun] open=name_yourfile.exe icon=name_youricon.ico Save it as AUTORUN.INF and put it in the root of the CD.
  16. Yes, a wine party - Look here We drink it eating bacon and goat's cheese. The high "Beaujolais" is near Burgundy. In "Beaujolais", some villages are in "gold stones" and very nice. The autumn is marvellous. It's my loved country.
  17. As usual, for sharing, you can download My Country (17mb). It's a very simple slideshow/postcard (from my native country: "Beaujolais" and !). Also, you can find here some pictures with a different sharpening. Can you, if you want, tell me which you prefer ? Thanks ! Michel
  18. Please, before to save, try "Manage Templates"...it works wery well .
  19. Dear friends, if you want, you can download here - 17mb a new slideshow: "Ice Land" with pictures 1280x960. We have to see it in 1280x1024 or more. Images are from a friend family, image processing and assembly from me (music with licence creative commons). The images's author don't speak english and don't read this forum. If you have comments for his images, I will write to him or speak with him. This slideshow is presented on this forum, only for sharing with you all.
  20. Thanks, Jim, for your useful explanations.
  21. Thanks, Jim. I have another asks and if you want reply: - a little work with Photoshop: can you say us how ? - what do you think of Niksharpener ? - have you resized your pictures, before to 1280x850 (Canon 10D) and after to 1280x960 ? - and, if yes, why you don't keep the ratio ? For a digital projector 1280x960 or 1280x1024 ? Sorry for these asks, but I think it would be interesting . Andy, for the refresh rate, if possible, with a classic screen, the better is to use 85Hz or more. With a LCD monitor, 72hz to prevent flashing. Now, Jim, I would like say you that I enjoyed your images, with perfect shades and lights (as these of Barry), all is very fine. The shots/processing are very nice. I enjoyed also the parliament's night and other certain areas that I visited several years ago. Thanks again and congratulations for all this work. PS: - j'ai compris votre français (vont travailler en patinant, c'est mieux - c'est un peu pour moi comme l'anglais, mais l'essentiel est de se comprendre) - "I rarely use RAW unless I am unsure of the lighting conditions": it's very important; now, I use RAW only and sometimes in a bad or difficult light, by example
  22. Bart, one solution that you can try, before to create the file .avi: adjust near 90% for the screen (and then look at the safe zone in the Object Editor).
  23. Jim, I notice you have a Canon 10D. I found your pictures with very fine "accuracy". What camera lens do you used ? And JPEG or RAW ? Just to know. By the way, seven years ago, we went to Ottawa (one day during our trip) and we enjoyed to know that people were going to work with ice skates on the "river". Is it always true ?
  24. I think you will receive your key if all is OK . After, as said by Fred, create a backup of your key on a CD or other. To write for this request is easy (even if you haven't your n° of order). When you open PicturesToExe, you will see and use these screeens:
  25. With TEMPGencplus, use the Wizard: select VBR MPEG-1...then import your file .avi... At the end you have a file .mpg on your hard disk. Open NeroVisionExpress: Make DVD-Video, then Add Video Files (=your file .mpg).
