And, for the moment, we make slideshows only: - first for our and, perhaps, your pleasure - first also to show photographs from differents lands and for think to protect the countryside And, sure, first also to PTE : Gold metal .

As said in another topic, the ouput .avi is, for the moment, the best soluce. You can to choice, after, your own encoder or software to burn DVD. The ouput quality is excellent and the "PTE codec" very well adjusted, always for many softwares.

I agree: a very nice work for the photographs. And a wonderful concept for this very fine subject. Congratulations to the author.

Well...but to can choice your encoder is very important. Certain encoders are better. And you can use, with PTE, that which you want. Your soluce (encoder included in PTE), would be usefull only if Wnsoft use its own encoder, but not before to be sure that this encoder will be the best for PTE, and well adjusted with the best results. We discussed about that a few months ago. However the output .avi is an excellent soluce for the moment. You know the quality of PTE and the hard work of the team: the product is released only when the improvements are perfect, as the future 5.0.

Well, it's good and no problem. Do you mind that you have only 100ms between the end of the transition (picture1) and the beginning of the picture2 ?

Please, can you tell us which is your processor and your videocard ?

For the text, in the time line the smallest time is near 0,5 s, but the fades are very long for all the show. We have no problem with our PC and the voice looks OK. I received several emails from friends and family, and no problem. The better, for me, is to look this show at 1280x1024 with a minimal good hardware, but I don't know what is your (Pentium and videocard) and I canno't answer for that. I prefer to not answer for your others remarks.

I readed your post very attentively. You made excellent shows and you are a very good photograph. I loved Scotland. For this show, we have at home three differents end. We have also one near your suggest. But, our choice was to show how the ascent at 4000m becomes "supernatural" and in the spirit also, if you understand what I would to say. And the sun is also before and after, as you want. Thanks again, Michel, for your advised, fine studyed suggest and comments.

Some encoders mpeg are not very good and when you use a excellent encoder, the results are excellent. But, you must read your DVD on your TV (100hz if possible) with a DVD-TV player. However, Igor studys all the problems and find a soluce if a problem exist with a particular software. Is arcsoft excellent to create a mpeg file ? I don't know, but, you could try also another encoder.

Dear friends, if you want, you can download here our last slideshow: "Ascent" with pictures 1280x853. In the file .zip (21 mb), you can find included a translation in english for one text at the beginning and one little voice at the end. This pictures come from 2000 to 4000m, in France. Good ascent !

To all: don't forget that the LCD monitors are less "tiring" for the eyes (it's very important when we work during some hours). I use also the maximum vertical synchronisation with it (72hz).

1280x1024 for my PC (LCD 19"), 1600x1200 for my laptop. Projector native 1024x768 (accept 1280x1024 with high quality).

Barry is an excellent photograph and Winter is very nice. I advised (in our fench forum of presentations), since a few weeks, particularly this slideshow. Congratulations to Barry for these marvellous pictures.

Also, here, it's a very good new ! But all the effects and new animations would be just a choice for the photograph and don't use to much animations is essential for me. A video clip is no more a slideshow !
