Welcome to the community ! With a PIV 3GHZ, we can use 0.2-0.3s without problem. But the security for another processor (like your) is near 0,5s: we must know certains transition effects use more some ressources (push...). Try with this parameter...

Igor (in another topic): I don't think it's for these betas ! By the way, this Pan and Zoom feature is a great function (even if we don't have to use too much this effect in a slideshow, I think), but don't forget that it's difficult to build a very smooth effect with all the "system" and all the most of PC; but , you know, the Igor's Team is really magic and we have always very good surprises ...

When I'm working with a project, by example, I save my project with work1.pte. I open later this project to modify my pictures: first, I save my project with work2.pte; I delete a few points and I want replace somes pictures by other slides;I add my new pictures in the slide list, then I use the new function (very easy): "Import points from another project". For the moment, this way gives good results, no problem. It's perhaps difficult to work with a new mode at the beginning, but this new mode is a very good feature: no doubt, if necessary, Igor will propose a better function or option and all the suggests to make PTE better and the best are welcome for all !

For the french community (french keyboard): < > to move cursor between slides and strips of effect durations = ; and , The alternate scrolling of Slide list works fine ! (very good idea)

What is your DVD software reader on the laptop ? When you create a DVD for the TV, you choice is "interlaced option"...

"Reflet" create an animated gif. It's not possible, for the moment, to use animated gif with PTE.

It's very easy and fast; look at the top menu: - "Project", "Customize the help message" - (in the object editor, button "About Presentation", "Properties", "Action on mouse click", "Help")

I made these last days several "experiences" with the output .avi and DVD. I have to say that the best results (for me) were with the software "TEMPGenc plus" (with good parameters) and then DVD author to create the DVD disk (now, we can convert - with a plugin- the sound in "Dolby Digital"). Certain used also TEMPGenc plus, then Ulead 3 with very good results. This "encoder" is very fine, but, yes, to use with "eagle's parameters" (the wizard is good). The problem is the pack'price (89$). But the results are "fantastic". I think TEMPGenc plus is one of the best encoders: it's only my opinion.

You can keep it, if you are working with a project: also, I save my projects as Work1.pte, Work2.pte....When I'm sure that it's OK for the day, I look at the templates (Work1.pt, Work2.pt), then I "manage" the templates and I keep the best.

Ron, first, you must choice the folder where you save the template by CTRL + E. And after, you create the template by CTRL + T: with all inside (objects, music, pictures - all is saved). Now, you can open your projects also if you have a new hard disk D, E, F...... The template feature is very important for me: I save all my full slideshows as this and I never had problems. You can also write a CD or a DVD with your files.

My friends, "Symphonie" is my new slide show released here - 20 mb or on Fanaphot. Pictures= 1280x 853 Softwares = PTE 4.31 (effects = fade in/out, Quick, Mosaic), Audacity, Photoshop Elements 2.0 Cameras = Canon 10D with 70-200 and Minolta A2 Locate = France: Devoluy and Ventoux We are very happy, you know it, to propose with our users many slide shows since near two years. It's a fantastic promotion for PTE, because all can discover this software. As on Cottage, as on Barry and others: we are also very gratefull for them, as Boxig and others with the utilities. Recently, are also released on Fanaphot: Olduvaï, Karibu Tanzania, Marie de Valon, "Avec Rien".... We (me and Daniel and Patrick and Guido, etc...) always helped the french users so and with a "free precise assistance", all the days. And we use only PTE, and we promote exclusively only PTE. It's our choice. I wanted to say it on the official PTE forum.

Hello ! Welcome here ! You cann't create a CD with the file .exe to play in your DVD player. You must create a DVD disk only as a standard DVD.

I'm waiting especially for: - the new fresh navigation bar and the possibility to mask/display (by hot key or mouse) very usefull for the control of the show (and to display new features on this bar: go to n°...by example) - very interesting for professionals, teachers... - to pause the show during the transition effect (and not only after or before the effect)

OK, thanks, but it would be better to use Ulead Moviefactory 3. The "results" are now really perfect with PTE (great work from Igor and the Team) and with this last Ulead release (input the last patch) !

Please, try: - only one long song MP3 with a synchronized show (not 5...) - if it's not OK, change this only song for a Ogg music (verify you don't have music as sound "B") And tell us !

Hello Sam, as usual, I enjoyed your photographs and your show. Very fine ! (but a little note: I would prefer original pictures (background) 1024x768 or 1280x1024 to love this very nice PTE slide show) Good work, friend !

I tested several of my shows (DVD) with the "sharpness" enabled/disabled (Ulead DVD - TV 16/9 and 4/3). The filter is better than before, yes and I can see the difference clearly between on/off. But I don't like this filter, and the transitions effects with it are less smooth, even for certains (mosaic) not very nice. This option is for me useless .

Igor, can you explain: - why this filter ? - what is his utility or is it necessary and when ?

Time Line Thumbnail Preview When we use the time line with many pictures and images inside as objects, it's very difficult to arrange the points when we cann't see the image preview. Imagine twenty photographs, one after another, with pictures as objects ! Try to arrange exactly the points...it's bad and difficult ! For what the time line used then ? I hope you find a soluce for the next version, please, please !

Well, it's a honor for you to admit it ! We are sure that you will solve this little problem.

Example: for "Oxygen", the size is 1280x1024 and the compression near 51% (from 80ko to 320ko). If you want a good display for the eyes on a screen, from 1024 to 1280 is a good choice. If you want to project, the best is 1024x768 (video-projector resolution) with a compression near 80 to 85%.
